I am hoping I misread...I started out excited! I saw a post stating you no longer have to get all 3 FP at one time if you don't want. GREAT! I often don't want to...usually I wish I could split between parks. But if the post was correct it states you still must eventually get all 3 from that same park or you cannot switch and get more in other parks. What is the point or value of that ???

It does also say the change to being able to schedule more via app is part of the change..baby steps?

I think the main changes right now are:

1) You don't need to start with one of Disney's preselected FP plans (which were always annoying). You choose you three FPs yourself.
2) You can reserve extra (fourth and onwards) FPs directly inside the app once the initial three are spent.
3) The fourth FP can now be reserved for a different park from inside the app.

I.E. if you've used all of your MK passes by lunch time, you can immediately reserve FPs in HS for the evening, but remain at MK for the afternoon.

This is great news. All good changes.

I may be alone but I support the one park for the first three pre-scheduled limit. Way too many would schedule for multiple parks at 60 days until they finally decide which park they will actually visit.

So really it's just app integration..nothing more.

OK - we kicked this around a couple weeks ago and it was confusing.

As long as you can't pre-book multiple parks and still pick times...it's a minor change

It also came with a UI refresh to match the Disneyland app, at least the FastPass portion of the MDE app

From what I have read, is that you do not have to even pick all 3 at once.... either 1, 2 or 3 can be chosen. Once one is done, you can add another without waiting for the 3rd time to pass. Much closer to the old paper version. You no longer need the kiosk to do it and can do other parks within the day.

Reserved 3 for MK this am, last one expires at noon, but just picked Fantasmic for tonight.

So I just checked out the update for the MDE app and right off the bat I'm already loving that when you open "FastPass" it actually shows you your FP selections. It used to be slightly frustrating that there wasn't one place to view your FP plans only. I do wish the text or format was a little smaller so it was more "at a glance" vs having to scroll down but that's just personal preference.

I also tried booking FPs for a visit we have coming up. I like being able to see all the time options that are available but I think it could be a little confusing for some because the 1 hour windows aren't displayed so when you try to book another FP and accidentally click a time that falls inside the first FP window it cancels the first FP instead of offering an alternative time. Maybe this will just take getting used to. Overall, I think I will like it. Has anyone else tried it?

First assumed 12:01 would have been the soonest.

Appears that I was wrong.... You do need all 3 to pass

Guests will now be able to book an additional and even further FP+ reservations through the MyDisneyExperience app.

Guest will be also be able to choose between 1-to-3 Fastpass+ reservations in advance. They will no longer be forced to pick 3.

Additional Fastpass+ reservations can be made one at time after your initial advance reservations have been used up. Each additional pass can be made yourself through the mobile app or website, and even booked for another park if you plan to park hop.

With the new system, guests will be able to choose and attraction and time simultaneously. This should allow for better customization of guests schedules.

Another cool feature being added is the ability to remove individual guests from a Fastpass+ reservation and the ability to cancel a single reservation instead of all of them.

With these changes implemented, the Quick Picks Fastpass+ option will be removed.

According to WDW News Today, “Guests will see significant changes to the look of the app (and kiosk interface) on April 10th, 2016, but larger changes that will make the app look and function more like the new official Disneyland Resort app are still expected at a later date.”

Here now, its great and horrible at the same time... mk ran out by 3pm. In the past i could go all night skipping most lines.

That's exactly what I said two weeks ago and I got shouted down

The lemmings are gonna try to pound the morning so they can "keep going" and "maximize" the fast passes by getting 4,5, + in each day.

No fastpasses all afternoons...that's gonna be real fun.

Great explanation of original FP.

We always had that scenario with FP. But now with FP+ we keep at least 3 out of the lemmings hands. Many of them were doing 6 to 9 a day.

Now FP is available not only all afternoon, but evenings as well.
