fast pass incentive

When I signed up for dvc i was told I would receive a fastpass for everyone on my reservation, and it can be used for 3 days of our trip. I was wondering if anyone else received this and how it works. I guess we will get them when we check in.

Yup! We got this incentive as well. We were told that they would provide the fastpasses as you check into your DVC Resort. Be sure to remind them and ask though Good luck!

Each FP voucher is valid for 3 uses.

They expire 3 days after they are issued.

They are instant FPs, you put them into the FP machine and the FP ticket return time is between the current time and one hour.

The voucher can only be used when the FP machines are open.

We bought AKV last fall at Doorway to Dreams during their anniversary special. We will have 5-days worth of instant FP for our trip this August. Each person traveling will have three FPs for each day. There will be five of us so we will have 75 instant FPs to use!!!!

75 WOW!!! We went down to Disney in November and received 12 instant fastpasses for just looking into DVC. They were so wonderful. We saved so much time. It was a great perk. We could choose between 12 fastpasses or $75 giftcard. We did end up buying at AKL too!!

Mike - how long ago did you add-on? I am in the process now and didn't hear about this, we are adding on less than 100 points, 65 to be exact, and maybe we aren't eligible?

The inconsistency of sales incentives and perks really rubs me the wrong way. Depending upon where you buy and from who, seems to determine if any freebies will be awarded.

A year ago I escalated the issue to Disney upper management and the answer that I eventually received was that's the way it is.

I agree that it should be fair to everyone. They should give everyone that purchases or looks the fastpasses. It should be the same across the board. I am new to DVC and just trying to learn and take in everything. It does not seem right to give one person a perk and not the other. Has it always been this way?

Depends upon the perk. When they are offering sales incentives, like developers points, etc., everyone gets the same. There may be a few little "extras" for purchasing while on a Disney cruise, or at the Dreams sales center.

For a while, if you took a sales tour at the sales center certain times of day, you were given a meal voucher, but that was only seemed to be at certain hours. Fastpasses for touring were offered haphazardly as well. Gift cards were also an occasional offering at the WDW sales center, more common at Disneyland. Everyone is offered ice cream.

WOW WOW WOW!!! MUCH better than any birthday FP Disney is giving away. Very cool side benefit of buying DVC.

Well, its for people who have made purchases who's incentives included them - I'm pretty sure its also a one-time deal. It does appear that they are throwing them into more situations - it used to be for taking the tour or sitting through the talk, and a couple of years ago they were saying that they were running out and when that happened they would be gone for good...guess they changed their minds.

I didn't get any fun stuff for my purchase except the bag...

Heck, I thought I'd at least get a call from my guide when BLT went on sale, as I mentioned that I was interested in the possibly Contemporary location, long before they even tore down the north wing...never heard from him since my purchase (and holding my money for now anyways).

Sales incentives will NEVER be "equal for everyone". That's the way they are - different sales people are authorized for different incentives, and you will in general only be offered what they think is necessary for you buy in.

They could change the incentives 30 seconds after you say "yes" and offer the points for half price, double DP, $1000 gift card and FP for life, and you are SOL...

When I added on 30 points at BLT, I specifically asked my CM, Jim McCoy, if I could have a few fast passes free with my purchase and he refused to give me any.

We should check and see which CM's are giving them out so that we buy add ons from those people!
