Re: Trees - yes the game is about coin but for some of us it is also the planning, the design and the overall look. Unlike crops the fruit on the trees does not rot so it adds a lot of color and dimension to our farms. No touchy the trees unless asked is a good rule to live by

Knowing how to hide someones trees is important. Using the wrench in the toolbar allows you to click off "show trees" and voila they are gone and harvesting is easy and error free.

So once a tree bears fruit it stays that way until harvested?

Anyone know the ratio for farm time vs real time? I had a crop that was supposed to be ready tomorrrow as of late last night....it already wen to waste this morning! I don't get it!! I have raked and weeded a couple of DIS'rs farms though.

I just searched for it where you type in friend's names at the top right of Facebook. The first result was the Farm Town game. If you can't find it, pm me. I can put you on my friend's list and send you an invite.

From the looks of it, I won't be able to play while at work. Oh well. I'll have plenty of time in a couple of weeks to play around all day.

Thanks to my stepdaughter my husband and I are both addicted. I just joked last night after both of us were saying we should have crops to harvest, "We needed more stress in our lives."

I read that a farm town day is 20 hours. Also grapes seem to go to waste the fastest. How many people feel mad when their crops go to waste??

Yep that's what I thought as well. 1 Day = 20 Hours.

A crop takes equally as long to grow & go to waste. Once ready, potatoes will go to waste in 20 hours. Grapes will be bad 4 hours after they are "Ready to Harvest"



Here are my wishes for FarmTown:

I wish you could hire someone to do your plowing.

I wish you could multi-plow & plant a whole row at once.

I wish you could FIRE someone you've hired

I would like an email or text warning 1 hour before my crops go to waste

I wish the flowers would be ready - It's said 2 weeks for at least 6 weeks.

I wish you could delegate someone to do your harvesting for you, say if you're on vacation....you can hire someone for like the next 4 days.



That's all I can think of right now.....what about you guys?

Oh lord how i hate planting -- stupid thing never decides where you must click before it accepts your seeds!!

To answer the question about fields going to waste, they will remain healthy for about the same amount of times as it takes for them to grow. In other words if you plant grapes they take 4 HOURS to grow so you need to harvest them BEFORE the next 4 hours pass And yes for the plants that take DAYS a farmtown day is only 20 hours long.

Everything I have ever read in their forums states a day is approx 20 hours and approx maturing time to rotting time is about the same. The use of the word approximate always keeps me on my toes and I check the farm daily.

Yes - it still has many glitches. Check the forums there is usually a discussion and often replies to the glitches that are occuring.

I am addicted. Haven't been getting on too much the last few day because it has been hectic around here. A friend got me into it and now I can't stop. I have a few dis friends as neighbors. Did anyone else have trouble at first keeping their animals in the fences? I think I have finally gotten them to stay now but they were driving me crazy running all over the place!

I couldn't keep my animals in for quite a while. I kept moving the fences to make sure they were tight. After I expanded the area to 2 fences wide and about 5 deep they started staying in.
