Farm Town on Facebook...

I started playing Farm Town on Saturday. I'm still not sure. I have no idea what I'm doing.

My parents got me hooked on farmtown. It's highly addictive!! My son (19) plays as well. My 17 year old started a farm but I don't think he'll continue, too time consuming for him.
I'm at level 25 so I just unlocked the biggest farm plot.

Have any of you gone to their forums and checked out pictures of peoples farms. Some of them are amazing!

If anyone wants to add me as a neighbor feel free. My name over there is the same as here.

No-- you can purchase more coins to play but I never do that on any of the games.

So far the only games I've played are scramble and text twist. I could play those for hours. I'll have to look up these games you are describing...

Yes, I'm addicted to Farm Town! I finally beat my addiction to Bubble Shooter and Tetris and then Farm Town came along... I'm currently on level 24 and would like to enlarge my farm again, but it's such a time suck as it is . PM me if you need neighbors.

My 19 year old son was on the computer when I went to bed the other night. I told him Havest my crops when they are ready !!!!and showed him how. When I got up the next morning he said "I harvested your crops mom. I had to keep getting out of bed to check and they were ready at 5:am" That was on my first day of farm town.

Level 28 - went over a million coin last night - course that didn't last long, I bought the big pond this morning

I got my son hooked and then he proceeded to get the wing of his dorm hooked.
its a silly game but I do love it. I "remodeled" last night and this morning. I cleared off all the plots, moved fences, hedges, trees, buildings and animals then replanted it all - I spread it out between all the different crops - I do not have time on a daily basis to replant it all.

I need one more neighbor to reach the level where I can sell and give away objects.

OMG!! this entire household is totally addicted. We work our evening schedules around our crops --- nice thing is since we all do each other we don't need to worry about going into the market and putting up with the whiners/beggars. All of us have our harms at the largest size and plant mostly onions & pumpkins for the biggest return -- i do mine in rotation as another poster mentioned since the darn thing takes too long to plant! HUBBY is saving money to buy the mansion once he hits level 34 -- me i am just ready to make mine look snazzy

Level 26 here too.

I've been "slowing-down" a bit. I've been planting all onions (the highest grossing crop for the farmer .... other than grapes), that way I only have to check in every 3 days

I've caught myself driving down the road, looking at farms thinking...someone needs to harvest those

Ok onions and grapes to be planted... How the heck do you get way high levels and make money? I have like 10 crops and am level 5 after almost a week and a half

I just searched for it where you type in friend's names at the top right of Facebook. The first result was the Farm Town game. If you can't find it, pm me. I can put you on my friend's list and send you an invite.

From my experience, it just takes time to get to the higher levels and earning more coins. The higher your level, the higher value crops you'll be able to plant, resulting in more profit. I didn't really buy anything for my farm, except fences to keep the animals out of my fields and just saved my coins to buy more expensive crops. Once you have a good amount of coins, you can buy a bigger chunk of land to plant and therefore increase your profits (wish I had known about this way earlier). I haven't gotten into working on other people's farms, but apparently that is another way to earn more money.

You won't get onions for a while - grapes & potatos are you best bet right now Then cabbage instead of potatos (when you get it).

Never-Ever harvest your own crops.!! Hire someone else to harvest for you. You earn more money that way. If you don't have anyone...go to the MarketPlace & click on someone to hire them.

Swap jobs with your friends & neighbors...I'll harvest yours & you harvest mine. WIN-WIN

Don't buy useless stuff at first. (fences, barns, paths, etc)

I never buy trees or animals - friends always send trees as gifts.

Go to the marketplace for a job.
- DON'T BEG FOR WORK! I personally refuse to hire beggars. I usually hang out off to the side & strike up a conversation....usually get hired withing 10-15 minutes.
