You need to give them a food source - hay, a plot and a tree seem to help and also reinforce the corners with crates and hay bales. If the pen is too small they will escape too. Just keep rounding them up they will get the message. Sometimes they will not "jump" the fence to get back in, you have to open the fence and put them away then close up the fence.

Warning the donkey is sneaky and will hide in wheat and corn to evade capture. The pig will just roll over and go to sleep. I love my sheep

Too funny about the donkey. I built a pen and put a hay bale in - that seems to keep the animals in for now. You also have to put the fences right up against each other or they will escape.

I have to FEED them? Jeeze! there as needy as two year olds LOL. I will get hay and finish the fence (again) when I have more money.

You'll just need one or two bales they never actually "eat" them

I always plant a couple of crops in their pens they will "eat" that also they actually look like they are eating but the food does not need to be replenished.

It seems to be down right now! I just finished plowing and went to the marketplace to look for a job when it froze. What am I going to do if I can't plant my fields tonight????

That's what I did

Though once I built my pens they seemed just fine. The chickens and cow are both penned at the edge of my farm, and the dog gets to the run of the land.

I'm off to take a shower and then with luck I'll get to harvest my crops.

well mabey I should go check on my farm. someone gave me a donkey but hes not comming out of my gifts till i finish my pen. I have enough stress without chasing him. Why cant I harvest my lemon tree?

just leave him wander he wont damage anything. For awhile all mine were roaming around

Sorry no clue about the tree probably a glitch post on the farmtown board on facebook and see if you get a answer there.

alright, ive been playing around with this for awhile..and im already addicted..my farm is nowhere near as good as others ive seen but its fun anyway.
