Fantasy june 2, 2012 eastern caribbean

Disney Yes? I too would like to know more.

Laura and I tried to remember how many FEs we had on the 2008 PC but couldn't remember. We knew it was over 100. I hope you don't remember ours because it will probably be similar.

There were some great FE gifts on that cruise. Loved the magnets, CDs, pens, pins, pirate ducky, coffee, candy, etc. and of course the gold POTC pocketwatch. That will be a tough cruise to top! We are missing the 6/23/12 reunion cruise but by the time we found out about it, it was to expensive to change reservations. Plus we really wanted to do an Eastern this time.

We ordered 400 individual FE gifts for that cruise. I seem to recall that a few latecomers only received one per room from us instead of one per person. We ended up with 3 or 4 leftovers!

Oh my...no we don't have that many rooms!! :scared1:
We have about 25 right now in the first group and most people seemed to be happy with that number so that it doesn't get too difficult to handle. You all must have had to bring an extra suitcase just to bring everything home!!

It worked out ok.
We took an extra suitcase for FEs and Secret Mickeys. Then we had an empty to bring the stuff we collected on the trip home.

Are we getting a separate list together for a magnet exchange too? On our last cruise, we had 29 rooms for the FE exchange which was a nice, manageablesize and that was just a 4 nt one! We spread the gifts out so there was something for everyone every day :thumbsup2 We also had a magnet exchange - that was only 4 or 5 cabins. We did that the 1st nite - got some really cool, personalized magnets ;)

Just thought I'd throw that one out there....

My Disney OCD has struck again :scared1: I am excited about hitting the 400 day mark - that is so sad...I have no life! Now I know why I didn't start the ticker way back in Oct 2010 when I originally booked this cruise (and hadn't even been on our 1st Disney cruise yet) :lmao:

Hello everyone!! I just wanted to update the group on the FE exchange. We have officially closed the first group as it began to get too big for everyone to manage. I am now starting to take information for the second group. So if anyone else interested in joining the group, message me with your information (names, ages, genders of everyone in the room and cabin #).
Thanks!!

Wow, I really missed the Boat on that one. Sounds like it is the second wave for us. :lmao: I certainly understand keeping things to a manageable size. It also makes me feel like I can put more time and effort into the gifts if I dont have to make 200 things! I will look up our cabins and send the information on.
I am starting my quest for a good rate at WDW before the cruise. You would think I would learn, but I still have sticker shock :scared1: every time I price out rooms.

Awww, I'm excited too.

I don't have tickers here - as I have 4 cruises booked, but only one is with DCL. I do have all 4 set up with tickers on my cruise critic siggy though. And every time one of those tickers gets to a new set of 10s I get excited. It is fun to see them get closer, and closer. . .. :) LOL I guess I have no life either! I am obsessed with playing with vacation ideas.

We just booked today! This will be our 4th DCL cruise and we'll be celebrating DS's high school graduation and our 25th anniversary!

We'll have:

DH - Doug, 47
DS - Alexander, 18
DD - Catherine, 15
myself - Laurie - 46

This will be our first verandah stateroom!! We're very excited about that.:yay:

Have you checked out the DVC boards? You can rent points from members and it is WAY cheaper than a room through Disney. We rented points on our last cruise and we are doing it again for this trip!! $500 for 3 nights at AKL studio room which is basically a regular room with a fridge. The same rooms are about $250 or more a night!! It works great for us!!

Welcome to the third family from Colorado on the cruise meet so far! We used to live in Highlands Ranch (2006 through 2009). We are now way up North in Thornton.

You'll love the verandah. We got spoiled last year and have booked one for this cruise as well. We had one for our 20th Anniversary trip on a Disney Cruise sans kids! For the June 2012 Fantasy cruise, we get the verandah room to ourselves as we are putting the kids across the hall in an 11B. They are looking forward to the virtual porthole though.

Yes, those WDW room rates are high. We are DVC members (bought on a cruise in 2010), but we are trying to add on some nights to our upcoming stay this May/June. We ended up going offsite (for the first time) with Sheraton Vistana Villages. It was about $119 per night for a two bedroom suite with about 1,100 square feet, a king size bed in one bedroom, two queens in the second bedroom and a pull out sofa in the living room. With a full-size kitchen and two bathrooms to boot. It's actually quite comparable size wise to our 2BR Villa at Bay Lake Tower this coming May/June. Since it's only 2 nights, we're okay with it. If we like it, I'll let you know. We're nervous about our first venture off-site!

For next June, we may add on two nights at WDW before the cruise (Star Wars Weekends) and stay off-site as well. We'd use our DVC points, but we actually have two cruises booked for 2012. The second one will be a Christmas cruise. Those prices were quite high, but we really wanted to do a Disney Christmas vacation while the kids were still under our roof. We will be using our DVC points to pay for a room during the Christmas season so we need all the points we can for that!

Please do share how Sheraton Vistana Villages are after you return home. We are looking at spending 4-5 days after Cruise doing some Land and have been looking also at some off sites, right now I was thinking of Renting a 3 Bed at Bonnet Creek. We have 11 traveling in our party.

Welcome to all our new cruisers!!! I keep forgetting to check this board because my Facebook updates from our cruise group go directly to my phone.

At midnight, we will officially be under 400 days!!!:cool1: (as if you guys didn't already know that, :rotfl:)

Lori P. :)

Add us to your list, we are also sailing with you!! We're from Austin, Texas and this will be my 6th cruise on Disney and I couldn't be more thrilled to be sailing on the Fantasy.

It will be myself (Kim), DD Emily (13) and DS Hayden (11). My husband and oldest daughter aren't on this one but my sister Stephanie, BIL Larry and my DN Kiara (13) will also be joining us. It should be a fabulous cruise. We have two cabins; I'm on deck 12 (cat T) and my sister is on deck 10 (cat 6A).

Hello we are from Colorado also. I have three girls going around your daughters age. My daughter Cady will be 16 and my Nices Rain will be 17 and Jasmine will be 15 same as your daughter. Before we went on the 2008 cruise we had a Mini Colorado meet and we met KDdisney Christopher and June and thier Boys it was Very nice. Maybe we can do that at least twice before we sail I have a two grandsons going around KDdisney kids ages. So it would be fun for them to also meet the boys. Let me know what you think about a Mini meet.
