Fantasy june 2, 2012 eastern caribbean

I just transferred our Oct 2011 Magic to this cruise! I am soooooo excited. It will be me (Dana), dh (Ward), ds Logan (13 at sailing), ds Braden (turning 8 the last day of the cruise).

Welcome to the group! My DS, Brayden, will be turning 6 on our St. Maarten day! DCL better get ready to make lots of cakes with all these birthdays:)

Only one year, 3 weeks and 3 days until we sail!! WOOOHOOO!!!!

LOL!! Before we know it, we'll be under a year and then the time will fly by. I hope that you all are having a great week!! Happy Friday eve!! :cool1:

Hi all its been a while glad to see cruise get closer. Hello to all the new cruisers:hippie: I think this cruise is filling up pretty fast for being over a year away. I have three 11B cabins for 10 people booked for this cruise. After reading the Dream reports I decided that we really would be better off in the 8D, cabins or any of the cat 8,. I told my TA this and she found out none open for four peopel only three. I would have to upgrade to a 5A and that was more that I am willing to pay.
I wished I would of been able to know more about the room types on opening day and been able to see the real rooms. Once I saw the couch is almost touching the bed I started worried with four the 11 might be really tight. Now I just have to waite and see if someone cancels or moves up to a different room type. My TA said you could hope for an free upgrade but in four cruises I never recived an upgrade so my luck is not to great.

Disney Fantasy Moves a Step Closer to Reality
During Keel Laying Ceremony

PAPENBURG, GERMANY (Feb. 11, 2011) – Today, Disney Cruise Line celebrated the keel laying of the Disney Fantasy at the Meyer Werft shipyard. This is the second of two newly-designed ships that take the family cruise experience to all new heights. Sister ship to the Disney Fantasy, Disney Dream, entered service on Jan. 26, 2011.

The keel laying ceremony is a significant milestone in the ship building process when the first block, or section of the ship, is lowered into the building dock and a coin is placed under the keel for good fortune. Placing the coin was Karl Holz, President of Disney Cruise Line, assisted by Minnie Mouse.

The Disney Fantasy will offer many of the innovations that the Disney Dream features and brought to the cruise industry for the very first time, including AquaDuck -- the world’s first shipboard water coaster. However, the Disney Fantasy will feature a few new design elements and guest experiences that will give the ship a unique identity all her own.

The 4,000-passenger Disney Fantasy will sail week-long Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral, Fla. with its maiden voyage scheduled for March 31, 2012.

Yay for us!!! Our ship is FINALLY being built!!!:cool1::banana::cheer2:
This makes me feel like our cruise is a little bit closer!!
Thanks for posting:thumbsup2

It's going to be so great watching "our" ship being built. I wonder what the unique features will be on the Fantasy.

I told my DH last night about the keel laying and what that is. He actually said to me "you mean our ship isn't even built yet?":scared1:

I still think he was kidding me, but I told him, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?

Can any of you who have sailed the 7 day cruises on the Magic before help me out? I know the Fantasy will be a little different, but in your experience which night will work out best for Remy reservations? Don't want to miss out on any of the other dining rooms, but really want to try Remy!

I've read through the thread and still haven't decided to do the fish extender thing yet or not. The other two crusies we went on didn't have a big following on here so we didn't have a FE group. I think it would be fun...I just don't want to spend alot of time running all over the ship. I even made us a FE for our last cruise... Headed over to join the Facebook group. Lee Ann :)[/QUOTE said:
Well, there's two fixes for us here....
1. We all change our reservations to the "suites" so we don't have to walk as far....:rotfl:
or, 2. We get our exercise delivering gifts so we can eat what we like and not worry about "cruise calories" :scared1::laughing::laughing::laughing: For this to work, we have to be ALL over the ship! :thumbsup2

Personally, I think we'll enjoy where our current reservation is located (we have an aft verandah), so I'll go with getting a few Mickey bars while onboard and not feeling guilty one bit! :mickeybar:

Hi everyone - been busy and have not kept up on the boards. I will be updating first page soon with the updated disers on our cruise!

Amanda, I am VERY new to this DIS board. This is my first post. I am unable to PM you my facebook info to join this cruising group. Can you help?:confused3
Thanks,
Michelle

We are booked on this cruise and are VERY excited! :yay:This will be our second Disney cruise. Our first was a 4 night on the Wonder in 4/10 and we can't wait for this 7 nighter! There are 5 of us sailing, Me (Michelle),DH (Jim), DS (Josh,16 at sailing), DD (Hannah,15 at sailing) and DS (Matthew,11 at sailing). We are on Deck 8 in cabin 8512. I look forward to "meeting" many new friends before and during our cruise! I am loving all the insight and information! :thumbsup2
:tink:

Michelle, were you able to join the facebook page?

Lori P.

No, not yet. :confused3 I am so new, I haven't posted enough yet to leave Amanda a PM. Do you have a name or group that I can search on facebook? Thanks so much for any help.:)
Michelle

Michelle, sorry it took me so long to reply...haven't checked this thread in a few days.

Go to Facebook and look up Amanda Young. Send her a friend request with the message included that you want to join the Disney Cruise group.

Let me know if this doesn't work... momm2four1@comcast.net

Hey everyone!! I hope you are all doing well!! I just wanted to let everyone know that there have been quite a few additions to the FE list, so you might want to take a peek at the spreadsheet.
Have a great day,
Ann :goodvibes

Hi everyone!!! I just got back on 3/19 Magic cruise and booked this cruise while on board!! (Hey Amanda!!!)

So we'll have 2 families this time around:

First it's me (Emy) and my husband (Jeff). This will be our 3rd Disney cruise and can't wait to sail on the new ship!!
Also sailing with us is my good friend's family (also Disney fanatic) The Jones: Betsy, Jon, and their triplets (Will, Becca, and Hays - they'll be all 10). This will be their 2nd Disney cruise and first time on 7-night cruise!!!

Jeff and I booked 11A GTY room, and thinking about changing the Jones to GTY room as well, but they want connecting room if possible. Do you think they'll be able to get upgrade and have connecting rooms? Our reservations are all linked together (since I booked it on board for them).

We would like to be part of FE (the 2 families) as well!! We had fun doing FE on our last cruise!!
