Fantasy fans: April 7, 2012

We are getting close to being packed and ready! I have managed to lighten my load a lot...so much so that I keep looking at my smaller suitcase (as compared to other cruises) and wonder what am I missing?! Hopefully nothing!

So far our packing consists of 1 suitcase for me, a rolling duffle for DD's clothes and hers and my shoes, a rolling duffle for DH, and a box...in the box I put stuff like FE gifts, my shoe organizer, etc. I did this last time and it worked nicely.

I can't believe this trip is finally happening! Yippee!

Good morning Fantasy Fans!

At the airport now, headed to Orlando. Got about an hour's sleep. Looking forward to WDW before the cruise.

We are too excited to sleep! Can't wait to leave tomorrow! We have at least 2 suitcases per person!! With me and four girls...it's hopeless to try to narrow down what to bring. Snorkel, Easter and FE gifts take up one rolling duffel, Pirate night costumes and Disney Princess costumes take up another bag! We will have a shoe bag, formal/semiformal bag and then each girl will have her own suitcase. I can hardly believe it is almost time to go! DH and I broke out the champagne last night...we have been planning this trip for soooo long!

To all the teens, my girls, (18) and (15) are looking forward to meeting new friends at the clubs. They will be with our best friends, boys, (16, almost 17) and (13). If you plan a meet and greet at the terminal or on the ship, post here and I will let them know. They are veryyyyy excited about this trip!!!

Safe travels to everyone and here's to an awesome SECOND sailing of the Fantasy!!!

I would also like to know if there is going to be a meet and greet on board! My DD finds out about the trip on Saturday morning, so we haven't been able to connect with any other girls her age beforehand...and I know she'll be interesting in meet some girls to hang out with in the clubs! She just turned 10 so we'd love to meet other girls in her age range!

My cheer daughter is only 6 but she cheered on the youth level team this year. Would love to get the girls together to at least stretch out at some point. Our season ended this past weekend and try outs are at the beginning of May so it doesn't leave much time for relaxing.

I think I will have two suitcases for the three of us. Thanks to the airline fees, I have learned to condense my packing.

See everyone soon!!!:yay:

Huh? All of the meet info was reposted on post 289 just on Monday otherwise the meet was set-up Christopher long ago. We are meeting on Saturday afternoon at 3:15pm before the pre-muster drill.

1 more day of school!!!!!! Safe travels to us all and see you soon!!!!!

After reading some of these posts ... I'm not feeling so bad about 1 suitcase full of shoes for the 4 of us. Looks like we are bringing 5 suitcases total ... Must leave some room for souvenirs, too!

One more sleep! The kids can hardly stay focused!

Safe travels everyone ...

Thanks for posting that link. I remember seeing the info about the nightclub meets but somehow missed the one on Saturday. See y'all there!

We are here at The Marriott (Residence Inn), too. We are the ones chasing a crazy 3 year old all over the place :)

Our window decal on the car says "We have our heading! Here we go! Disney Fantasy!" We are on our way to Port Canaveral! We will the at the Residence Inn in a few hours! Plan to go to Ron's and then to watch the Magic sail out at 5pm! See everyone soon!

On our way to Kennedy Space Center now...hope to be there by 2. Spending the night up that way so as not to tip off DD who will find out tomorrow morning about the cruise! We'll have to swap stories chief71! Have fun today everyone...see you tomorrow :)

Had a great day at Typhoon Lagoon and got back to Downtown Disney for some dinner and shopping. Will be leaving LBV at ~10:00 to head to Port. See everyone aboard!

For those of you still checking here, we upgraded to a veranda room. Do me (Michelle) and my DD Lauren are now in 9028 (we were originally in 6176).

I wanna go back round again! But instead I am half way thru a long wait at mco to fly back to the uk after 2 wonderful cruises, each different in their own respect.

We a some pixie dust this week, Brenda the guest services manager took it upon herself to bestow us with little gifts every other day. We received a pastel shade stuffed Mickey and goofy, some extra chocolate booty on pirate day, a pair of tickets for a galley tour, and despite missing the deadline for character signatures she arranged for a picture of stitch to be signed by Lilo and stitch last minute for my daughter to give to her two best friends who love stitch.

We had such fun, our bags are bugling with extra magnets, FE gifts etc so thank you to all that gave. Sorry that didn't get to Meet with you all, other than Jerylin, and that was all too briefly.

Hope you all had safe journeys home

We had an amazing time on the cruise and hope everyone else did as well :)

Thank you everyone for the amazing FE gifts and magnets! I am always floored by the creativity of the DISers...

Sorry I was unable to meet anyone (that I know of anyway!!). I was so looking forward to catching up with the group one night in Europa, but we were totally wiped out after our 8:15 dinner and were in bed by 10:30 almost every night. We had the best servers - Leasa and Steven! Anyone else have them as their dining team?

Our cabin was phenomenal! I had gotten lucky enough to grab 5650, one of the recategorized 4E cabins...and one of the two cabins with the humongous verandah...I measured it at about 14x20. We had a wonderful view of the fireworks on pirate night and a breathtaking view of Castaway Cay.

DH and I opted to cancel our Palo and Remy reservations. Did anyone else go? We both agreed that the food on this cruise was really great and surpassed our prior experiences on the Magic. Our schedules make it hard for us to eat dinner as a family at home, so we chose to do so every night on the ship.

We only did one shore excursion, which was the dolphin swim in Grand Cayman. Wow, that was an experience we won't soon forget. Did anyone else do that one? DD and I didn't even get off in Costa Maya, we enjoyed the ship...exploring it and riding the Aquaduck over and over and over again! We hopped off a bit in Cozumel for a bit of shopping, but that's it.

All in all, it was a fabulous cruise. Unfortunately, it ended with a 13 hour drive home that normally takes us about 9 hours. The traffic was simply horrendous yesterday.

Did anyone re-book while on board? I'm not sure when we'll cruise next, but I always make a new reservation that I can move around so that I can get the on board booking perks. Right now we are eyeing Thanksgiving 2013, but that will be DD's first year of middle school and she'd have to miss 2 days of school to go, so we'll have to wait till the time draws nearer to make that decision. She's getting to the age that she doesn't want to miss school and with my teaching community college part-time now, we may be forced to cruise in the summer months or over Christmas breaks. Honestly, I don't care when we go, just so that we get to go again real soon!

Hope to see you all on the boards!
