Yeah, I have an RDZ reservation that includes a ticket to the second showing of F!. Since there will be F! CMs around before I need them, perhaps I'll be able to ask them more about Harbour Galley.
 
Wouldn't the view from Harbour Galley be a bit skewed? Seems like a harsh angle to me and that you wouldn't be able to see the action in front. Thats what i think of RBT as well, although we sat up there a few times back in the day when it was free.

Because of my condition, i prefer sitting right up to the rail and just looking in between. Then you can really engage with the show, at least I can.

RBT patio has too many trees and obstructions for my liking.
 
I also tried this morning right when they dropped, put in 2 and got nothing. I totally forgot about having seen some time ago that people were having to book parties of 3 or more but by the time I changed it the RBT premiums were gone. Good luck to all tomorrow 🤪

Are you staying onsite? I’ve had the hardest time getting reservations here trying different times overnight and signing up for dining alerts.
 
So... maybe it depends on CM, but that was what I witnessed on May 24 and July 4.
It does seem to be yet another example of YMMV. We've seen people trying to hold tables and CMs clearing them out -- probably to make sure that that area stays open only for people with dining packages. If the CMs are being more lenient now, that's good to know.

Personally, I think the view from Harbour Galley is better than RBT because you don't have people or trees in front of you.

Yes, I am staying on site. But this has been the most difficult year I've had (this is our 12th year going at this time) for dining reservations. I sure miss the days when you could just email the hotel concierge if you were staying on site, tell them what you wanted and they'd book everything for you!

But if you're specifically asking about Trader Sam's, they often drop well before 6am and are gone before the other dining venues show up. I've been seeing them open up at 4am. However, it's usually possible to do TS's as a walk up if you don't mind a wait.

Been more difficult for me to book this year as I'm on a mini vacation with DH and 3 dd's and not very skilled at booking from my phone. Have to creep around in the wee hours trying not to wake everyone else at 3:45 am lol.

On the plus side, I got what I wanted and we've been having an awesome time in Morro Bay. One DD drove down from SF, one drove up from OC, and one lives nearby in SLO. Here we are on a Tiki boat cruise of the bay.

Does this mean you will only be charged $10 for being a no show and not the entire package price or is the $10 on top of the package price

Apparently the information about being charged in full for the extra person/people was wrong, as they don't charge you in full immediately and you have up until the day before to cancel. The question is can you cancel just 1 person in your original party without it canceling everyone?

My understanding is that you just check in with 2 people and there is no penalty. I still think they should just combine 2 groups of 2 at one table, instead of limiting it to groups of 3 or more. They are actually LOSING money by forcing people to book for 3 and only having 2 show up, even if they charged the $10 no show fee for the missing person.
 
The exceptions to this are packages you pay for upfront, such as World of Color Dessert Party and Skyline Terrace experiences. If you don’t cancel in time you are not refunded.
Thankfully WoC Dessert Party allows you to book for 2 (and probably 1) still. So no need to make a reservation for a party larger than you actually need.

It has been there. You need to start practicing at like 557AM. The premium vanishes in less than a minute.

Hoping to get a premium for January. What do you mean by practicing? If I’m on the Fantasmic dining packages page of the app before 6am should I be on the page to click “Reserve Dining” right at 6am or should I be past that and ready to choose my party size right at 6am? TIA!

Start using your Disneyland app and book a party for 3 at 557am then wait for the time change and go!! You can start tomorrow. Just do not finalize. The premium package is in the middle of all the choices.
I think the F! Schedule will be Friday to Sunday in January. I am not aware of F! Going on hiatus until Spring

So even if I have a party size (we have 5) already chosen before 6am the 60 days out date will load in the app at 6am without having to refresh?
