Fantasmic Thread!

Thank you all. This is super helpful. We do have reservations for the premium river Belle seats as well so I’m thinking of keeping those to avoid both the mist and the potential for someone tall to be in front of us and then trying to move closer to the water before the fireworks since it sounds like the view from the terrace is obstructed by trees.
If you’re wanting to be further back and still have a good sightline, then you don’t need to wait *super* early for a railing spot - just scope it out when you get there and make sure you’re behind a short group! If you space out left-to-right, even if people shift, you should be able to find spots where your kids can see.

The mist really depends on wind direction and overall weather conditions - you can be perfectly dry at the railing or quite misty a few rows back.

If we were to leave partway through the fireworks show is there a way out of the park that will miss some of the fireworks crowd

Not really. It also depends on from where you are leaving from. Once you get to Main Street you can duck in and out of the shops and they keep a pathway clear for walkers, but its slow going. The Hub has various roped off areas and cm's will guide traffic in a way thats not in a straight line or direct way out.

I agree. Plus, it is dark both at ROA and on Main Street. Unless you know the ins and outs of the park, I would either leave after Fantasmic or wait until after fireworks.

Have any of the menu's for dining changed since May? I found all the menu's that were posted back in May when Fantasmic came back. I just want to be prepared in case I have to book something other than the RBT premium.

For reference, we had a regular BB lunch reservation yesterday, not the Fantasmic package BB reservation. When we sat down, we were offered both the regular menu or the Fantasmic package and they commented that “we still have both the first and second shows for the package available”. This was at 11am. We didn’t do the package because we did it a few months ago, but it was offered.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. I'm sure this depends on the day, but considering yesterday was crazy busy, that's a good sign.

I think BB is so pricey that it's the most likely to have availability. I have been seated in the BB section before when I did a different package because we showed up closer to show time and our section was basically full but BB was fairly empty.

So I'm trying to figure out how you book the Fantasmic Riverbelle Premium package? Is there a specific place to go to book that (rather than the regular dining package)? It was hard to tell when I was looking today because it's only offered on the weekend and I didn't think about the fact that today at 60 days out was a weekday.

It is under Fantasmic dining. But it goes very quick so if it doesn’t show up it means it is booked.

It is on the app under Fantasmic dining. It is buried in the middle of all of the Fantasmic options, so is difficult to find.

Agree...I was on at exactly 6 AM (PST) this morning and it was not there...had to settle for RBT 1st dinner show slot on Dec 13, 2024.

Yes. Like @LKing said, it’s buried with all the other Fantasmic dining on a list. It goes really fast. When I booked for July, it was gone in less than a minute. Hope you are able to score a reservation!!

Unfortunately I was just reading a different dining thread and found out that the app/website exclude parties less than 3 from bookings. I went back and tried booking a regular BB dining res and upped my party from 2 to 3 and reservations were available, where yesterday and today they were listed as unavailable. So if I had listed a party of 3 today I might have had at least a chance of getting a Premier RBT slot. This is so wrong. The least Disney could do is state openly that they limit these reservations to parties three and larger than waste my "blanking" time on their app and website. This is just another reason I have stayed out of the parks for the last 2 years. What a lousy algorithm.

I also tried this morning right when they dropped, put in 2 and got nothing. I totally forgot about having seen some time ago that people were having to book parties of 3 or more but by the time I changed it the RBT premiums were gone. Good luck to all tomorrow 🤪

I did manage to book Trader Sam's at 4am.

You all have been so helpful. I had one more question. If you were prioritizing having no one blocking your view and not getting misted would you go for a Rancho reservation or a RBT premium reservation (if when you booked RBT you got your spot, went back to the booking page and they still weren’t sold out, so you feel you have a good shot at a railing table)

Personally, I would do RDZ over RBT Premium if you want a non obstructed view. Sit farther back for RDZ or stand in the back by the ECV.

This is a good video by @crystal1313 about RB Premium. I linked to the portion of the video that mentions seating and obstructed views.
