We were told that you must have a dining package ticket/voucher to be seated there. Ask the CMs in the dining package check in area about any special needs. They can show you to that seating area. The view is off to the side, but there are tables and chairs.

Resuscitating this part of the thread from a few months ago...Does anyone know whether I can put in a request for this area while getting my meal earlier in the day? Or I just have to show up to the show check-in and ask then?

Also, aren't there some benches outside the Golden Horseshoe? Do they have a view of Tom Sawyer's Island? If so, has anyone watched F! from there?

Go straight to Harbour Galley lower patio and grab a seat. It is also where the dining packages line up so, approximately 90 min before, CM will arrive in the vicinity. If I recall correctly, Fantasmic CM wear khaki pants and a light blue shirt. When someone arrives, let them know that you have a dining package ticket and that you are already sitting on the patio.

They had to wait in the dining package line (RBT) with everyone else, then ask about sitting there when the CM got to them. They were the 3rd or 4th party in line, so it wasn't difficult for CMs to find them a table.

Well, I was unsuccessful again at getting the RBT premium package. On a side note, I just read that if you are a party of 2 but book for 3, you have to pay for all 3 up front, which I hadn't considered. You may or may not be refunded for that 3rd reservation.

Are they now charging up front for F! premium packages and Blue Bayou F! packages? I was aware of the upfront charging for World of Color Dessert party.

I have not done it myself. I wait in the Fantasmic Dining package lines in order to be at the center stage railing. That means that I have a couple hours to watch how things play out. The last time I went (July 4), I had a long conversation the CM working that area. She said that anyone can sit there, but it is first come first served. I asked if you need to have DAS and she said, that you don't, but you need to have a dining package ticket. If you don't want to sit on the ground, but also don't want to stand, you can use those seats.

On July 4, a woman was at the corner table with a tagged stroller. Her family was eating cookies and then she stayed while they went on rides. Other people came, ate and left. Eventually the CM stopped regular guests from using that patio for dining and they checked to see that this woman had dining package tickets. Her family didn't return until closer to 8 pm.

As I stood there in line, I saw other people walk up the CM and inquire about sitting in the area and be allowed to grab a table. Sometimes the CM would walk away (to set up ropes, talk to someone else, etc) and people would walk in to sit down. When the CM came back they checked to make sure that everyone had dining package tickets.

So... maybe it depends on CM, but that was what I witnessed on May 24 and July 4.

I always use gift cards so I bypass the payment screen, accept terms and make my reservation. WOC dessert party is different. I have to pay when I book my reservation.

I did not have to pay in advance when I made my reservation yesterday. The biggest penalty they can do via their terms is $10 for the no show.

Can confirm I booked the premium package this morning at exactly 6:00 AM PST and was not charged, just the standard credit card guarantee.

My "Blue Sky" idea for Fantasmic is bleacher seating that raises and lowers from below. At 8pm each night they push a button and the bleachers rise out of the ground. At 8:30 they allow guests into seating area. Then after guests have cleared the area after the last show they are lowered and the river area is as it is was.

I know this is most likely not ever going to happen nor probably even possible. But a girl can dream right?
