Can you see the fireworks pretty well from the reserved seating area of Fantasmic? I am sure it isn't as ideal as being in the hub, but is it pretty good? Can you see tinkerbell at all or any of the projections???

Thanks!

I am still trying to decide between the 9 pm or the 10:30 fantasmic...

First, if you go to the 10:30 Fantasmic you have time to see the fireworks beforehand from the hub area.

Just so you are fully aware, the "fireworks" are much more than that, with lasers and special effects that will be mostly not visible from NOS. You can hear music and see fireworks, but you will miss a big part of the show.

I suspect you will not be able to see Tink from over there either.

Thanks Hydroguy... knew you'd give me a distinct answer... It is going to be late night for us (my dd is 3!), and Saturday (the next morning) is our last day at the park... so I wanted to hit it early, so I was trying to convince myself that we could do the early Fantasmic and then stay for the fireworks right there... but it sounds if we want the whole deal we should do fireworks first then fantasmic...

My biggest worry then, is we'll do reserved seating for fantasmic at 10:30 and the fireworks will be cancelled and we will have to stay up extra just so we could have good fantasmic seats... we are going end of October so the weather should be good, but I know there is no fireworks guarantee... and we only have 1 night to see them... aaugh. :confused3

Okay then 1 more question, if we have reserved seating for the 10:30 fantasmic... when the heck do we check in for it?? I know for the 9 you can check in at 7, and then you go back 1/2 hour before the show to get your seats and drinks etc... do the same rules apply??? Thanks all...

I did the Disney Gallery fantasmic desert package I had seen the fireworks form main st the previous evening so stayed there, we couldnt see tinkerbel, but the fireworks were ok, but part chopped off by trees etc, Main st far better.

Tough call. I visited DL when my kids were young like yours, and would be tempted to see the 9PM Fantasmic and skip the fireworks. My opinion is that Fantasmic is more suitable for 3 year olds than the fireworks show.

Not sure how early to get there for riverside ressies, as we have never done the reservation. We were planning to do the balcony in June but they closed it. Hopefully someone else can help if you go that route.

Thanks again... I was also thinking she would really be into Fantasmic, and that if we did fireworks first she might fall asleep during Fantasmic and that would be a bummer. We really wanted to do balcony seating too :sad2: But I am willing to settle for riverside, as I don't want to camp out for seats...

Well, I have a little less than 2 weeks to make up my mind... I plan on calling 1st thing to make my ressies on the 30 day mark... Still leaning toward the early fantasmic, but is also a bummer about not really seeing all there is to see with the fireworks from there. My dd also quite likes fireworks... but may not be as into the extra stuff... so maybe watching them from the riverside area will be just fine...

:confused3

Thanks all...

Sorry to butt in...lol..but I have a related question!

Is there a 9:00 and 10:30 fantasmic on all weekends? Or is it because of the halloween thing? We will be there wed-fri Sep 19-21. I was horribly bummed about having to choose between the two, but if there's a 10:30 on the friday (21st) then maybe we will get to see both too!

Anybody know?

Thanks,
Linda

Depends on the season. Sometimes only 9PM, and sometimes also 10:30. And on a select few nights a thrid showing at 11:30PM. Check the calendar.

According to the DLR website, there is no Fantasmic scheduled at all for Friday, the 21st. I heard some people talking about this on another thread too. Sorry that you might not get to see it.

I don't think it is showing on any Friday in Sept. I remember talking to a CM before they posted the October calendar, and she thought it wouldn't be showing in October either on Fridays since it wan't in September... so I crossed it off my to do list... then the calendar came out, and not 1 but 2 showings on the Friday we are there... so back on my list it went, and therefore my conundrum... I guess cause of Halloween Treat they must be expecting more guests in October and that is why they have the Friday shows??

:)

Lisa,

We're going in October too and had to make the same decision since we have young kids as well (our youngest is 3). We decided to do the 9 pm Fantasmic and then head back to the hotel so we are rested enough to be at (or close to) opening on Saturday. I'm sad to miss the firework show but it's just too late for us and I know my kids will love Fantasmic. And there is that chance the fireworks will be canceled. Plus we have MHT on Thursday night and that's a lot of late nights for my kids. Good luck deciding!

Imjen... I looked at your ticker we are going to be there at the same time! We arrive on Wed the 24th... have MHT tix for Thursday nite too... and I am seriously thinking about Fantasmic at 9 and staying to watch the fireworks at 9:25 on Friday. We fly home at like 8:30 PM on Saturday... so we'll need to leave DLH at 5ish. so Sat. nite is out for stuff...

Anyhow... there is only so much time to do everything... hard enough is dd tends to nap 1-3, and lots of DCA shows are during naptime. Our princess is 3 too... 4 in March--yours??

We thought the fireworks view from the riverside seating was great - and we were able to see Tink! We realize that we didn't get all the lasers, but they do some laser effects on the river as well. Also, positioned as we were, we had the big fireworks right in front of us and could see the smaller ones to the right.
