Fantasmic Package

In June we will be doing the Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic Package. I wanted to know if anyone has done this before? How are the seats? Do you really not have to wait with everyone else for the show? Do they give you a wristband to go to your "preferred" seats or how does this work? Sorry I just don't want to be clueless when we get there. Thanks in advance.

We tried this package on our first WDW trip this past July. The food was pretty good. I liked their desserts. It's a buffet so you can have as much or as little as you want. Your waitor will give you a small piece of paper allowing the number in your party entrance into the Fantasmic Dinner Package special entrance.

It is recommended that you arrive at the special entrance (Oscar's Gas Station) 45 minutes before the show. Our dinner was at 5 and the show was at 9 so we had a little bit of time in between to do stuff. You show up to the special entrance. Show the Cast Member your slip of paper and they will allow you to walk on a path to your seats.

Once in the stadium there are no bad seats, however the Fantasmic dinner package seats are not in the dead center. As you are looking towards the stage, about 1/3 of the seats were sectioned off for the packages and they are on the right hand side. Find a seat, grab a refreshment, and just wait. The later you arrive at Oscar's Gas Station, the farther away from the center you will be seated.

So you don't have to wait hours, but to get ok seats, you can't just show up at showtime.

We love doing the Fantasmic Dining Package! Last year we ate at Hollywood and Vine and this year we ate at Mama Melrose. Both places had great food and we didn't have to feel rushed to hurry and get in line for Fantasmic afterwards. We headed up to the front where you show them your pass when they tell you that you can start arriving and you walk right in! There was an area roped off for package people and we found a great seat! I do recommend getting there right when they tell you to start heading in because there are quite a few other package people as well! But, it does beat waiting in a LONG line for almost 2 hours!

We did this in May. We arrived at the special gate only 25-30 minutes before and we could have selected to sit in the second row if we wanted. We choose to sit several rows back because we knew that the water does splash up and it gets hot from the fire. The seats were not in the center (as pp stated) but still wondeful. Not waiting on line was the best! We presented our ticket and went right in. You enter at the back of the seating area toward the front of the park-NOT WHERE EVERYONE ELSE ENTERs. You walk through the service area to get to the seats.

We were not happy with the food. We ate at Mama Melrose. The food was okay at best (to us). We are Italian and I cook. So we are a bit picky to start. So I guess most could not go by us.

We ate around 5 and had time to go on a few rides before the show started.

Overall, great package, great experience.

Personally I don't like where they sit you at Fantasmic with the dinner package. That being said once in the stadium if its a slow night you can usually get a better seat. And if its a busy night at least you have a seat!
