Hi.

I will be in Disney in December and want to check about the Fantasmic dining package. However, on the reservation page the dates to book only go to the end of October (and Thanksgiving Day). Have they released November and December dates yet or am I missing something on the reservation page.

On the Dining boards, others are reporting only Mama Melrose is showing openings. HBD and H&V haven't opened up any slots for Fantasmic yet.

So is it just random when the dates open. I see Hollywood and Vine has dates open in January but nothing in November or December. Also, do you get a choice as to which Fantasmic show you get to watch that night.

The Dining Package is only for the 1st show even if there are more than two shows scheduled.

Call. I've booked the package a couple of times, and it does not always show online.

We have Brown Derby Fantasmic package for November 30.

Hollywood & Vine was not available when I made the reservation back in May.

Personally, I think Disney does this on purpose…to get folks into the less popular places first.

We did the dining package with lunch at the Brown Derby in June 2012. I think I booked it over the phone, because the online reservation system was messed up that day. You might try the number; it could just be a computer glitch. At the time, if you did it at lunch, then you got the first showing. If you did dinner, then you got the second show. Not sure if it's still the same.

We got to the seating a little later than I wanted but still in plenty of time for the show. Unfortunately, the seats weren't that great. The reserved section was off to the side, and we were toward the back of it. It was still way better than waiting around for an hour or more. Plus, we had a very tasty meal. In fact, we are going back to the Brown Derby in two weeks without the Fantasmic Package. You might need to get to the seats earlier than you would think.

I think the lunch prices were cheaper than the dinner prices, and it was still a lot more food than I could really eat. There are certain selections, not everything from the menu.

The package seats are now the best (center) seats.

The Dining Package seating is now in the center sections of the amphitheater. It's still best to arrive 30 minutes before Fant.

The Fantasmic Dining Package often doesn't get loaded into the online system in a timely manner so it is better to call, especially if you are within 180 days or others are reporting that they've been able to get a reservation for the time frame you want to book.

Also, do you get a choice as to which Fantasmic show you get to watch that night.

No, Dining package vouchers are only good for the first show of the evening.

I don't ever recall a time when you could go to the later show. It's been the first show for many years.

Unfortunately, the seats weren't that great. The reserved section was off to the side, and we were toward the back of it.

As the PP said, the seats are now in the center sections of the amphitheater, so very good seats.

Hollywood Brown Derby and Mama Melrose have both gone to a single menu format for the whole day so there's no difference in price whether you book closer to lunchtime or dinnertime. You order from the regular menu and there are no exclusions except MM serves a family style pre-plated dessert sampler. At HBD you choose dessert from their dessert menu. Hollywood and Vine is a buffet so no exclusions there either.
