I wanted to get the fantasmic dining package for when we were down but we really want to eat at Sci-fi drive in, which is not included in the fantasmic package. I just noticed you can get FP+ for fantasmic. Does anyone know how the seating compares between the two? Any reasons for choosing one over the other? I can start making ADRs in two weeks so just trying to get all my dining plans finalized!!

Gates open an hour before showtime for Diners, Fp+ and Standby. Dining sits in the two central sections:

- Fp+ enter on the left side of the pathway and sit in the Fp+ area - all sections to the left of the Dining Package area are filled one by one with CMs overseeing this process.

- Standby guests enter on the right side of the pathway and veer to the right entrance. Each section to the right of Dining is filled one by one until the complete standby area is filled.

- Once standby is filled, all waiting standby guests are held in the entrance pathway until 5 minutes before showtime. At that time, they are allowed to fill in the Fp+ area and the Dining area.

With a Fp+, plan on arriving at least 45 minutes before showtime for the best selection of seats.

so being the Dinner Package gets the center, is it safe to assume that those are the better seats?

We only have FP+ this time around, I hope they are ok seats, I'd hate to be on the extreme far edge.

We did the mama melrose f! dining last week... Dinner was great, and we walked into the seating area at 8:30 for the 9 pm show... Got great seats with no one in front of us, about 8 rows from the front, a little off center from the water screens but it was fine. Would do it again in a heartbeat!

The center is definitely the best view of the show, not too close though. But really you can see the show pretty well from any seat in there but again the center is considered a best seat

Yes, from the center you get the best view of the island, Maleficent Dragon, and the effects. If you arrive early enough for either Fp+ or Standby, you can sit in the sections that are adjacent to the Dining area.
