Famous People You have met While at WDW

My friends and I were lost in Epcot, screaming at each other when all of a sudden Davey Jones walked by. We were all stupified, said hi and watched him walk away.

At least he put an end to our argument!

When I was around 3 my family was in line for something and met Willie Tyler from Willie Tyler and Lester they where all over tv in the late 70's. When I was in middle school we saw Doug Williams who had won the Super Bowl with the Redskins a few months before and did the "I'm Going to Disney World" commercial when it was a huge deal he was sitting on a bench waiting for his family while they where in line for something he was really cool and talked football with us and took some pictures he didnt have any Disney people with him which is a surprise since that commercial was such a big thing at the time. A few years later we saw Norm from Cheers or someone who looked just like him all over MK we would be in line for something and he would be getting off and everyone in the line would yell "Norm" just like in the show and he would wave. That same trip some lady thought my cousin was Scott Baio even though he looks nothing like Scott Baio not even close, she got all mad at us because she thought Cha-Chi was blowing her off.

John Ratzenberger of " Cheers" and various Pixar films (Toy Story -Monsters Inc )
While checking out at BC "Simbad' checking in
and Nancy 'why meee why meee" Kerrigan skating on a 12' x 12' ice rink @ MGM

I saw Joey Lawrence at MGM back in 93--he was recording a performance for a tv special in front of the GMR. There were a bunch of little kids (under 10) that Disney had picked out to be right around the stage and then my sister and I were behind them. We were 17 and 15 at the time. He kept smiling and winking at us!!! We almost died!! Silly teenage girls! But we were also standing near his parents and little brother, who went on to be on TV too.

I saw the wrestler Mick Foley (Man Kind) riding the pooh ride with his kids :cool1:

He is a HUGE Disney fan. He says he listens to the Mary Poppin's soundtrack- Feed the Birds- before he wrestles to pump him up :rotfl:

The only famous people I've seen at WDW were two guys from "Whose line is it anyways". I know one is named Colin M... something like that. They were filming a commercial or something at MGM on the evening EMH back in May. Later I was sitting on a bench near RnRC next to this teenage boy. The guy named Colin came over and said "ok, come on" to the teenage boy sitting next to me, it must have been his son.

About 99.9% of the people you are talking about I am going WHO!. I do have one though. My friend and I were having a sample beer at the hospitality house, Bush Gardens Tampa. In walks Ceaser Ramaro and his family. This was when he was playing Joker on the TV Batman series. My friend walked up to him and said that he enjoyed the series. He didn't really respond. I think he was ashamed about playing the part.

My DW and I met Eric Estrada from Chips (more recently in the eminem video) at MK. I have to say he was very nice. Thinking about it now he was to nice to my DW he hugged her real tigh and gave her a kiss on the cheek, and said it was very nice to meet us. We talked about the spanish soapoperas he had done, since we get them in DR.

no celebs at Disney World but she did talk on the phone to Walt Disney himself when she was a phone operator. She said he was a very nice man.

Very cool :cool1:

We also saw Eric Estrada when we were there this past November. We were walking through Epcot one night and my husband says, Oh Look, there's Eric Estrada. He was joking. He just thought it looked like him, so I had to go back and circle around to catch a glimpse and it was definitely him. It turned out he was staying at the Beach Club where our neighbors were also staying that week. So weird. Although I'm sure the young people on this board don't even know who he is!

DH saw Brad Pitt a few weeks ago in DD. He was waiting outside World of Disney for me and BP was walking by with some girl. He had sunglasses on and DH said "nice disguise." Brad smiled and said "you don't know me." It was right before the whole Brad and Jennifer thing fell apart so it was funny he was with another girl since everyone we told said where was Jennifer?

Wanted to add when we stayed concierge at AKL in 2003 there was this guy geting VIP treatment in the lounge. He was very friendly and looked so familiar. I think it was John Schnider (sp?) Bo Duke on the Dukes of hazzard:)

Several years ago, during an Epcot visit, I was videotaping one of the beautiful flower displays. Because of the crowd gathered around me I couldn't move to get some guy's leg and ankle out of the shot. One of the folks with me was so excited at the shots that I was getting. Of course, I was only shooting a bank of flowers. But I did get the leg and ankle of McLean Stevenson, Colonel Henry Blake from MASH. :sad1: Before I could refocus the CM with him was leading him away.

In 2000 I saw Hulk Hogan @ MGM, it was embarrasing because I said "oh my god its you" and he said "yes it's me"...

Yes it figures I missed him and DH got to see him:) He said he was dressed very nicely but casualy- Gucci shoes, pink tinted sunglasses, etc..

We were in Disneyland (does that count?) March 2000 and had heard rumors that "Michael" was going to be in the park from cast members. Hadn't seen a thing by late evening, DD15 was starving and not in the best of moods. Heading back to our group with our arms loaded with food, DD spotted "suits" standing in the middle of the street. She said, "Mom! It's Michael EISNER!" She piled her armload of food on mine, grabbed her autograph book and got his autograph. We ran back to our group, she grabbed the camera and her brother 13 and ran back down the street. She asked a "suit" if he would take their picture and he said, "Michael, we have a photo op here!" Needless to say, DD was in a much better mood and I think she was still smiling when she fell asleep that night! :bounce:

Shaq at DTD PH... :cool1:
Al Roker and his wife in SAB... :sunny:
Levar Burton at GMR at MGM... :earsboy:
Gary Sinise on SSE in EPCOT... :wizard:
Jeff Gordon at MGM... :moped:
Marcus Camby...NBA player at MK turnstiles:cheer2:
That's all I can remember on my own!

When we were there in 1988, my mom and I split from the rest of our family for awile and we heard that Alan Alda was supposedly there that day. When we met up with my dad later that night, he said, "I say this guy on Discovery Island that looked just like Alan Alda." We started screaming and hitting him for not realizing it was really him! My sister and I were also in the audience of Win, Lose, or Draw during that trip, but I was only about 12 and I don't even remember who the celebrities were on it!

Just two weeks ago, (Friday - 2/4/05) we stood beside Richard Gere and his party in the queue for Mickey's Philharmagic - he was actually in the Wheelchair queue with a Cast Member Guide but was leaning against the brass rail right beside of us.

The same day Extreme Makeover Home Edition was there filming a family (it appeared to be a couple and 6 small children - all in strollers. No one from the show was there but a large film crew and several cast members were assisting.

ohhh I love Richard Gere. I live in upstate New York and my father's parents happen to be quite good aquaintences with the Gere family.

My father attended school with Richard's & his Sister (few years younger)
He has the year book in which Richard was on the gymnastics team. Quite a skinny young chap :groom:

We get wonderful xmas cards from The Gere's every year...wonderful people :grouphug:

I wish I would have been there, but then again it is probably best I was not. I might have made a fool of myself. I love Richard Gere!

Last January (04), we were staying at the Beach Club, eating at Beaches and Cream. While we were eating my daughter(6 years od at the time), kept looking at the table next to us. She whispered to me that is someone famous. We gave her a hard time and pretty much were like whatever....
She kept staring and she was like, yes he is on VH1 Country, but she couldn't remember his name. She said he sang the song it was 1980 something.... and we still were like okay, whatever.
Well about ten minutes later the man walked over and asked my daughter why she was staring at him. She told him that she thought he was a country singer. All the while, I tried to break in to apologize and he never talked to us, but only her. He then told her he was who she thought he was, Mark Wills. :)
He was super nice, and later after we all ate, his daughter and mine played video games together. It was a great memory for her, as none of us believed her and he came up to us to prove her right!
