We saw a NFL player at the Magic Kingdom on March 6, I'm thinking my DH said it was Tory Holt (please forgive me if that's not right, I'm not really a football fan). We were walking through Toon Town and they (him and his family) were a little ahead of us. They had a few kids and one of them looked right around the 1 verge of 2 age and was having a total meltdown, I mean screaming at the top of his little lungs. He was telling him "boy you better be glad we're out in public". We walked passed them and they are kinda looking like apologetically that their kids screaming loud enough to be heard across the park and DH just shook his head yes and said something like "been there". After we walked off he's like "do you know who that was?"

Sunday he had to point him out on one of the ESPN shows as the guy we saw at WDW. :teeth:

LOL - Torry Holt is a wide receiver for the St. Louis Rams. He's originally from North Carolina and he's cool. There's your background - LOL :teeth:

On Wednesday we went on Soarin and were told that the front row was reserved for VIPs. I assumed that it was for baseball players that were there for the World Baseball Classic. We were in the third row. They weren't baseball players. I walked out of Soarin right behind Eli and Peyton Manning. My husband informed me that there were other players there, but I forgot who. I recognized the Manning brothers because my FIL is obsessed with Peyton. He is a huge Colts fan. He was so jealous when I told him who walked out in front of me.

LOL - now that's cool as heck. Was Archie there too? Ha ha ;)

No one on the ride threw up, did they? :P

Hershal Walker at AKL
Rode Dumbo with Newt Gingrich and family (He didn't have to wait in line... no fair!)

North Carolina State to be exact!!LOL Go Pack! :thumbsup2

Many years ago I litterally ran in to Sidney Potier (spelling?) at MGM. I didn't think to ask for an autograph, but he did stop and pose for a picture with my friend (since I had the camera). Then in August of 2004 we had just returned from our Disney trip and I opened up a magazine and realized Cameron Dias and Justin Timberlake were at the Magic Kingdom in Tommorrowland the exact time my family and I were there. We didn't see them, so I guess it doesn't really count.

We saw LL Cool J at Universal just last month!

Last week during our Spring Break trip, we ran into John Bonjovi and his family 3 times at the MK. Once we saw them while they were doing a photoshoot with Mickey Mouse in the rose garden in front of the castle. Then we were placed in the same VIP hallway with them to wait for Princess Autographs at Toontown. The third time we just smiled and hoped they didn't think we were following them! :thumbsup2

My DH didn't believe it was him, but we asked a CM with the Princesses and they confirmed it.

Last year I saw Roy Oswalt, Brian Urlacher, Jerry Rice, Woody Paige and a few others @ MGM. Daunte Culpepper is suppose to be in or was in Orlando recently, as he's rehabbing there.

I saw blitz zambrock from the show lid mondoda. He was very nice and so was his wife biddie manbin. Love them. They are true superstars and even Michael Eisner was star struck.

Wayne Brady
Regis Philbin
Kelly Rippa
Clay Aiken
Jump 5
Raven Simon
Johnny Reznik (Goo Goo Dolls)
Edward James Olmos
John Tesh
Andy Garcia

Last week, James Gandolfini was in AK on Everest. A nice CM I know called me to rub it in. LoL

I would LOVE to drink a beer with the Wiggles. :thumbsup2

And I have seen Johnny Rzeznik many times around town......he grew up here and my ex hubby went to school with Robby Takac.

Not at WDW, but at Shea's here in Buffalo, I volunteered as an "usher assistant" when I was younger with my Mom and Dad, and met Mickey Rooney, Ann Miller, Yul Brenner, Richard Harris, and others, but those stick out the most. Mickey Rooney was absolutely wonderful...he said he was impressed someone younger then 35 knew who he was. :teeth:

I also met a couple Barenaked Ladies long ago when they still played small clubs here....I worked in a sub shop and they came in for Buffalo Chicken Subs. They were hysterical...even at 3 a.m. I was about 25 at the time and had 2 kids and they actually said "too bad you are too young to come out for a drink with us." They made my night. hehe

I am still hoping Vincent D'Onofrio makes a return trip to WDW this May. I missed him last year (probably sat next to him on a bench and never knew). I am not a "fall over" type when it comes to celebrities, but I love that man.

We probably walked by a whole buttload of celebrities last year, since they were all there for the 50th kickoff on 5/5 and we checked in on 5/7. I am just oblivious. I have 4 kids to keep track of, I could fall over one and never realize it. My cousin said Alfonso Ribeiro(sp) was at Epcot when we were, but luckily I didn't run into him...I would have had to do the Carlton dance.

Man, you people are lucky!! I'll bet there were times that I ran into a celeb while at Disney but didn't even notice it :(

...I wanna see people's pics with celebs at DW if they were able to get any.
that would be cool :cool1:

A few weeks ago someone I know told me her friend who is a CM, he's one of the "skippers"(?) whatever you call them who work on the Jungle Cruise? He had Robin Williams and Johnny Dep on his boat within one week of each other. How hot is that!~~

I think the celebs only go during certain times of the year. I WISH I could see someone from the cast of will & Grace!!! Actually, MEGAN MULLALLY!! Wow, talk about my 2 worlds coliding!! :woohoo:

BTW- I love this thread!!!

Back in 1996, we were staying at BW Villas and we noticed a really nice touring bus parked out front. We found out that a 14-15 year old, new country star LeAnn Rimes was performing for an up-coming Disney special. The concert was free and we got on TV. :D

In 2000, we ate at Planet Hollywood one night. It was NFL week and we saw a few players going in when we were standing in line.

About 30 minutes later we were back in our room and turned the TV on. A local reporter was live outside Planet Hollywood interviewing Bruce Willis. WE MISSED BRUCE BY MINUTES!!!!

Joey Fatone of N'Snyc was at DTD the other night. His little girl was getting done up at the new Boutique.

We flew out last Thurs, March 30th out of MCO. We heard American Airlines page "William Drayton" as he was going to miss his flight. They paged this guy 10 times then the plane left. While we sat in the terminal and watched, my son pointed out a man coming down the way and who is it? VH1 reality man himself Flavor Flave. I'm not a real fan of him,but the boys and I did think it was cool to see someone you see on TV. William Drayton is his real name and I knew it sounded familiar from watching too much VH1,haha....He had missed his plane, people recognized him and he posed for pictures with those who wanted them. Most people saw him but let him do his own thing.

DH met Kelly Ripa at the AKL. She and her family were staying there the same time we were. I heard other people talking about seeing her around but I wasn't fortunate enough to ever run into her.

I always keep an eye out when travelling in airports, just in case, but I actually had a celebrity come up to me in my home town ! I was in the line at a grocery store, and he asked me to pass him something. I knew who he was and smiled and said hi, then went on my way.

Next day as I was walking downtown with my fiancee, I heard someone yelling, "hey you from the grocery store...". Sure enough there he is with an entourage. He ran across the road, and spoke to me and my now husband for 15-20 minutes. He asked if we wanted to get a drink with him, and we actually said no. Reason...hubby was getting a bit steamed under the collar, as the celebrity spoke only in my direction. Then he asked if he could come to our place for a BBQ ! ( That's the stuff I was buying for in the grocery store.) Hubby made an excuse and dragged me away. To this day, when we see a film with this celebrity, he gets grumpy ! :teeth:

Oh...the celebrity was Ray Liotta from Goodfellows, and more recently Hannibal ( guy who had his brain eaten ! ) :smooth:
