Famous People You have met While at WDW

A number of years ago, my sister and I were on the last ride for Splash Mountain. We had just gotten off and was walking down the exit ramp and we passed Pierce Brosnan and his kids. I did a double take...I was not sure if it was him or not, but my sister who LOVED him from the old Remington Steele program confirmed it was him. We tried to stand on the bridge and watch them go down, but a castmember was closing off the area and would not let us stay. Darn!

Disney Crazy Debbie I was surprised because he was shorter than I had expected.[/QUOTE said:
OT but this made me curious
how tall was he?...i just saw him on Jon Stewart and he looked really tall next to him( like i was guessing over well 6 ft)

A few years ago in NYC as we were walking along the sidewalk, Paul McCartney walked out of a building, crossed right in front of us, and got into a limo. My DH (who's not a big music fan) didn't even notice, LOL, but a fellow pedestrian and I looked at eachother and were like, wow, can you believe that? :earseek:

A few years back, a buddy and I were drinking at Hogs & Heafers ( a biker bar in NYC, there was a movie somewhat recently based loosely on that and another biker bar in the city). Anyway, it is pretty much a hole-in-the-wall type bar and who walks in but Paul McCartney. Half the crowd noticed and the other half didn't, but even the ones who noticed didn't really do much besides give the smile and nod. The place normally starts to get going after a little bit with people standing on the bar, when all of a sudden, Paul gets up on the bar with the girls that are there. Everyone starts going crazy and he proceeds to sing a few songs. The place remained like that and we all closed the bar at 3am with Paul. It was SWEET!!!

The DJ's at one of the local radio stations were just down in Orlando this past weekend, said they stayed at the Coronado Springs, and that the Backstreet Boys, the Wiggles, and John Schneider were all there. The girl from the morning show was drinking beers with some of the Wiggles guys.

I'm going in September this year, and although I would love to have a celebrity sighting, I'm sure it won't happen for me!

She's a meth addict now.

Are you sure about that? I saw her (Jodi Sweetin) recently on Full House update show (might have been a THS on E!), and she looked fine to me. They said she wanted to be an on-set teacher for kids. Hmmm, I might have to Google her and see what's the deal.

EDIT: OK, I searched this. Found a link to a Good Morning America interview that said she had a problem at one tim and has reportedly been clean since March 2005. Wow, how did I miss this? I pray she stays clean.

I have had encounters with many celebs at dis::: Britney Spears, Joey McIntire, Regis and Kelly, Shakira, Aly & AJ(if ur kids watch dis, u know who they are), Cheetah girls(again, a dischannel thing), some guy from the Drew Carey show, Backstreet Boys, one of the aunts from Sabrina the Teenage witch..and I think that's about it. There was some other girl, but I really can't remember her name. :confused3

While on the Disney Cruise we met the cast from According to Jim. We also met Braid Paisley who is married to one of the cast members from Jim. Ingo Raddamacker (sp.) who plays Jax from General Hospital was on the cruise. He was my favorite person to meet!

I'd have been tempted to accidentally bump into Brad and oops, over the side he goes lost at sea forever! LOL

Sorry - he's a local. . . I haven't cared for him since the 2nd grade, LMAO! It's worse now, he makes us sound like such backwoods rednecks! NO ONE has a southern accent around here and somehow he came out with one?! I just cringe when I see interviews of him talking about his childhood and where he grew up.

We saw George Lucas at Epcot (near the Morocco pavilion) when we were there in late February.

Well I meet Cindy Williams from Laverne & Shirley when Mickey's Toontown Fair just opened, but I think back then it was Mickey's Birthday Land.

I am also a dance teacher and my students dance at the tomorrow land stage every year and in early Febuary some of them were eating at the California Grill and meet Ceilon Dion. :p

:rotfl2: accents are weird things....
i have a friend with about 10 brothers and sister, same parents, all grew up by me and only he has a "southern" accent...we are slightly south...of Cleveland weird how that happens:rotfl:

I met Hall of Famer Mike Schmidt of the Philadelphia Phillies, outside of Journey Into Imagination back in 1982. He was with his family and told us not to tell anyone he was there.

LOL! Yeah, we're just outside of Pittsburgh. I know it's WV but come on Brad! Do you REALLY have to play into all of the stereotypes?! The interview where he said back home people sit on the back porch eating cornbread, HUH?! WHO?! Who is implanting these memories into your brain because they're certainly not happening around here :rotfl:

What's really funny (and really offends Brad fans) is that people from this area that knew him growing up or knows his family talk about how much they can't stand him (nicknamed Brad PraiseMe around here, LMAO) . . . but Charles Manson also grew up here and people that knew him when he was around talk about what a nice kid he was! :rotfl:

We saw a NFL player at the Magic Kingdom on March 6, I'm thinking my DH said it was Tory Holt (please forgive me if that's not right, I'm not really a football fan). We were walking through Toon Town and they (him and his family) were a little ahead of us. They had a few kids and one of them looked right around the 1 verge of 2 age and was having a total meltdown, I mean screaming at the top of his little lungs. He was telling him "boy you better be glad we're out in public". We walked passed them and they are kinda looking like apologetically that their kids screaming loud enough to be heard across the park and DH just shook his head yes and said something like "been there". After we walked off he's like "do you know who that was?"

Sunday he had to point him out on one of the ESPN shows as the guy we saw at WDW. :teeth:

Met Dominique Wilkins (former basketball player for the Atlanta Hawks) back in 1992. We were in DD (Disney Marketplace at that time) at a store and I happened to recognize him. I said, "You're Dominique Wilkins right?" and he just kind of blew me off. Later he came up to us and apologized. I said I understood and then he chatted with us for 5-10 minutes.

I met Rick Sutcliffe and the Beach Club...he was staying there getting ready for his live show at ESPN(baseball tonight). No one knew who he was. lol

We met Daryl Waltrip, his wife and his little girls. My ex-husband was a huge NASCAR fan and we spent about 15 minutes talking. They were both very, very nice.

Also, not at WDW and not quite a celebrity, Steve Tyler's parents live in the next town over from us. We often see them around town at local restaurants. Steve's dad has a little trouble getting around, but when he sits at a piano, he is transformed and his fingers are just as quick as anything. I guess music runs in the family!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: So famous people loose their cool too!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:
