Family of 5 Staying Onsite

T
Am I right in thinking that renting DVC means that you have to pay for DDP for some of your stay? I'm a bit confused.

would have to split reservation to do it over fewer nights than the length of the stay, a plus with getting it with dvc is you don't have to buy any park tickets to get it
Paul

Iv been reading about it paul and I think its a bit of a pain to do it on a daily basis as each day is a seperate booking. I did read that someone had booked the accomodation then rang back to add the DDP for 3 nights. The cm had to cancel the booking and put back in(so I understand) I suppose there is a risk of loosing the booking if someone clicks on the night being rebooked. I think I prefer the old way of paying when you arrive for the ddp.It has its good side in that you can still stay on site ,visit off site ,eat off site and not loose loads of cs or ts meals. We lost a few last time because we were at other parks. Just my opinion

As for the free ddp you have to book a room at rack rate(full price) and buy park tickets for everyone in room or reservation if 2 rooms to get it
DVC refer to my post above:thumbsup2

We stayed during Oct-Nov last year in a one-bed at OKW and the room had been refurbished with a Queen-size sleeper sofa and single sleeper chair in the living room, so once all the rooms have been upgraded members staying on points should be able to book up to five adults in a one-bed.

I think it stated in the Disney Files magazine that the refurbishment should be completed in late Spring 2011.

That being the case the Disney UK web-site might eventually allow five in a one-bed, try ringing the Disney Team on 0870 24 24 900, they might have some news on bookings in 2012.

Hi, I tried to check the resort prices on the US site, but it just wanted to direct me to the UK site! Any ideas please! :confused3

Thankyou

Claire

Hi Claire,

First go to http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/ and the left hand side of that page at the bottom click on the drop down menu below "Select an International Version" select USA:English and click go.

That should keep you on the USA site without directing you back to the UK site.

Good Luck
Samaya

I have phoned, but I will phone again once 2012 prices are out.:thumbsup2

If your main concern is money and space, I would say to for certain go with 2 rooms at one of the moderates...POFQ or CBR, you would have double to space and so much less cost. It would also fit the bill with theming and overall feel.

Have you looked into a suite at Wilderness Lodge or even a standard room at Beach Club? The standards at BC sleep 5 with a daybed. :goodvibes

I didn't know that they did suites at Wilderness Lodge. I like the look of BC but I couldn't cope with all 5 of us in one room. :goodvibes

Yes! They actually do have a junior suite at Wilderness Lodge. I believe its a regular room with two queen beds and another room separated by a glass door with a sleeper sofa in it. I think it's a little more expensive than a standard deluxe but still comparable to what your price range is. :)

I might look and see if I can find a pic...

Thanks!:goodvibes I'm really looking to spend no more than £2300 on accommodation for 2 weeks. I would definitely want 2 rooms / kitchen for that. ;) The trouble is that 1 beds tend to sleep a maximum of 4, so I have to go with a 2 bed and that bumps the price up considerably.:confused3
