It was really awesome!!!! Now you can compare it with the Disney cake.![]()
Those are meant for a good kind of shock! That is the most amazing homemade cake I"VE EVER SEEN!! Incredible would only begin to describe it.
Exactly!!!! Plus there was no way we could of eaten all that cake!!!!GREAT idea for the rice krispy treats!! Those can be saved and savored for a long time! Less waste! More eats.
The warmth was taking it's time... but it was going in the right direction!Gotta love that Florida sunshine. Wish it was a little warmer though.![]()
She has a skill!!! I told her to start a business on the side and I could send my 'friends' to her! That cake is amazing and homemade to boot!!!!!
Always!!J is still hamming it up I see.
Wonder who came up with that fix? I'm trying it today.. like now.I think the Canon troubleshooter said to lightly tap it.
Buttered?
I sent the sneak peek of the Disney cake... I don't think I sent this one... did I???That cake blew me away yet again. I remember being impressed when you sent the sneak peak. I love the idea of the treats on bottom. So simple and yet so creative!![]()
I think I got it!!! Maybe..If it's Mel's cousin, then your kids and his kids are second cousins. Mel and his kids are first cousins once removed. Your kids' kids would be third cousins. Clear as mud? I was held prisoner by my mother for days and weeks in the genealogy library when I was little.![]()
You are right... I had a guy moment! And not to sound like a smarty pants here, but that blue dress is the one that Tiana wore to the masquerade ball. Not one of her two wedding gowns. I love all three of them though. I bought the DVD for my bday present and we've been watching it over and over and over and over and....![]()
She has got it down. Great looking and even better tasting! There were little chunks of chocolate in the cake too. It was so good. I wish I could ave another piece right now!great update tim, maybe a new cake boss tv show coming up??? cake looks great!!![]()
Very true... people get busy with their lives, family, work... then their friends hold grudges. That is the thing with our friends that we were meeting in Disney.. we just pick up where we left off. It's great how kids can just pick up where they left off, I think we can learn a lot from them. Love the idea of the bottom layer of the cake. I might just have to steal....um...er...borrow that idea.![]()
She is awesome! She made another one for her son's birthday that I will show you.I agree.
And yeah, what a sweet cake! Pretty cool, with the rice krispy bottom. Pretty ingenious.![]()
I'm getting hungry thinking about it!Wow! What a beautiful cake! And delicious to boot?? Awesome!
Looks like a gorgeous day.![]()
I know.. I forgot how long she said she worked on it. 6 or 7 hours or something like that. She said if she had a double oven it would of been faster though. That cake is amazing. I would've never imagined it would like that that when you said it was awesome. I htought it was just tasting good. But looks fabulous on top of that too! Wow!
She was!!! Then she goes and eats just the frosting!I agree with everyone else--amazing cake. Your daughter must have been thrilled!
This was her 'Superstar pose'!!!HAHA! When I first saw this picture, I thought... "Why would there be a Power Ranger in this picture??"She is such a ham!
We need a DIS Dad's confessions thread!Oh... and... ummm... yeah... that is secretly one of my favorite Disney songs![]()
Now if she could get paid and make it all worth it! What do you think $200 for that cake?WOW! That's amazing! She definitely needs to keep taking those classes... and start a business. Absolutely amazing quality... and I can only imagine how good it tasted.
She is a ham but when that camera comes out it goes to another level!!!!All I can say about that cake is WOW!!!!
Love the pic of Juliana posing in front of her dad...hysterical.
I understand about the singing... I sing with Ana too! I sing the songs while I'm walking through MK!You had me singing this morning! Little Mermaid is one of my all time favorite movies. "Part of Your World" is my absolute favorite song next to "Kiss the Girl". I am a grown woman, and non-Disney believers don't get my obsession. They have NO idea what they are missing out on!
The cake was awesome! I am so sure Juliana just loved it. I love her little poses, too. What a princess!!!!![]()
HEY YOU MADE IT!!!!finally here--now to catch up![]()
That's neat that the entire bottom layer was RKT. I've made the RKT Sushi before, it's not an overly easy substance to work with.
This is the reason why I love Disney.I wish my DH would SING a disney song for me! He's not nearly the Disney nut that I am. He is one of those men who "don't get it".
Juliana had a bath Ariel and Cinderella doll and sings Ariel songs almost every night. It is really funny.great cake!
i get that song a lot too- its her favorite scream at the top of my lungs song for her bathtime.i love it though- i remember singing that song at the bus stop when i was in middle school
I sent the sneak peek of the Disney cake... I don't think I sent this one... did I???
You are right... I had a guy moment!
Smarty Pants!

The cake was amazing!!!What an amazing job she did on the cake! That must have been such a nice surprise for your daughter and having the bottom layer as rice krispie is such a neat idea. I'm loving your trip report so far and your daughter is adorable. I can't wait to hear how the rest of it went
Awwww. I was only kidding! But you were right about the dress!Serves me right for being a smarty pants before. You're right. You sent the Disney cake before. I remember the whole chocolate Cindy discussion.
She still mostly just eats the frosting!WOW that cake looked pretty good and then you see the rice krispy section... OMG!!! That must have made J feel like a little princess. What better way to kick off vacation.... Presents and Cake!!![]()
She really does a nice job with the cakes. Too bad it is just a hobby.. she could make some $$$ if she wanted to.The cake is simply beautiful!! WOW - great job and the classes sure did pay off! It looked yummy too and how cool the bottom was rice crispies!
Juliana is so stinkin' cute!!!She is such a ham I tell ya!
It looks like you guys really had a nice time with the family!
Heather
HEY BARBRA!!!!!!!Page 15!?!?! I don't DIS during the week and I miss the start and the first 15 pages!?!
Joining in! I've said this before but you have such a lovely family. Juliana is a cutie! Such a ham for the camera, she's a model.
It must of felt good to pull off that final mickey head. Ew, that is just gross on the plane. I guess she's getting her protein?
Nice upgrade on the car. I just love the beach! We tried to go today since the kids started Spring Break but it was the first warm day and there was not one parking spot! So, we just turned the car around and went home.
Even though it was cold it looks like you all had a fun time just taking in the sights. How great is an empty beach! Juliana's cake is amazing!!! Cute pics of her with the cousins. Are they the same ones from October?
Can't wait to see the rental house.
Well not all of it is good.... you should hear her sing Lady GaGa songs.Juliana has great taste in music. Her poses for the camera are hysterical! Such a personality on that girl.
Maybe I can be her manager and sell cakes from CT. She can make them and deliver them in Florida! That cake is A-MAY-ZING!!!!! Seriously, I am drooling, it looks sooo good. What a great idea to do the bottom layer in RKT so that it didn't go to waste!
I think everyone will be stealing that idea!!! I never thought of it either... but I'm not a baker! That is an amazing cake! I love the rice crispy treat idea!
We were enjoying ourselves... it made it better knowing that we were about to head to the 2nd round of our trip!!!!That was some cake!!! Yummy! Great pics-everyone looked like they were having a great time!
You're up rather late!
