Wow, I can't believe how cold and windy it looks in those pictures...FL is supposed to be warm and it bothers me when it's cold!

It was chilly... plus much colder when we were on the beach! It bothered us too! LOL

What a nice relaxing day though visiting with family. Sometimes we all need more of those in our lives.

By the way, we must live pretty close to one another...I see your picture from Christmas in NYC and then you said on my PTR that you saw the premiere of The Princess and the Frog there. How long does it take you to get to NYC? I've taken the ferry over to CT a few times...I'm about an hour from the Orient Point ferry and 25 mins from the Port Jeff ferry.

I can make it to Yankee Stadium in an hour & 20 minutes.. to Times Square in about a hour & a half (depending on traffic.. you know how that is!)

We live near Waterbury.. which is 1/2 way in-between Hartford and Danbury on Rt.84

If M's camera, was a Canon, mine had the same problem. I went online and read up on the troubleshooting..it said to tap it...It kind of hit it hard and it's been fine since...

It is a Nikon... it won't hurt to try banging it. It's about to get tossed anyways.

That was the last of the pics! I bought Mel that camera because she wanted a thin camera she could just throw in her purse. It didn't cost a lot but still sad about it.

We went to Cortez Beach. Really easy to get to. It was a very nice beach.

Oh man! What is it with cameras dying this month??? Was that beach on the gulf???? Those are pretty big waves!

Yes. That is on the gulf side. That wind was really pushing the water in!

What a fun day at the beach- minus the camera glitch. Hope you can get it fixedj, without hurting yourself. If it doesn't cooperate, you always have a whip to teach it a lesson...

It was nice to be able to relax through dinner. I'm so used to doing all the cooking... I took a couple days off (dinner only!)

While it wasn't very beachy at the beach, I actually love it when the sea looks really wild and not just all flat! Sounds like you had fun!

We had a great time. We would of stayed longer if it wasn't for the cool temps & wind!

It's always nice to spend time with family. Sounds like a delicious dinner and breakfast!

Oh no on Melody's camera! Something similar almost happened to mine this weekend during our beach trip. Some sand got in it and the lens doesn't want to open now.

Some camera companies have upgrade programs- if you trade in xxxxx model, you get a xxxxx model for a discounted price. not sure about nikon, nor am i sure if the discounted price beats a good sale price?

Cooking gets old. I mean it is so much nicer when you eat a great meal and you didn't have to cook it! I made breakfast twice.... Thursday & Saturday. I actually like making breakfast... i cook at dinner because I HAVE to. If I NO cook I NO eat!
