Fall/Winter Disney Magazine- no mention of DIS

Was anyone else surprised that DIS was not mentioned on the "favourites" internet sites listed by the Fall/Winter Disney Magazine? (Page 48 I think)

Can I say something without getting reprimanded???? Well, I'm going to anyway.

I do think most of the websites they mentioned have more detailed/accurate information about WDW than the DIS (without having to post the question on a message board).

I'm ready for my punishment.

This is a great site! I like the information that can be obtained from all the people who post here. I have also meet many nice, kind and wonderful folks. However, there are some sites that have a more concise listing of info.

Not a reprimand Jules just agreeing with your statements.

BTW it was a joke about the politics! I have no clue why this site would not be mentioned. It appears that the DIS would be one of the most frequented sites.

I noticed that too. I did think that maybe it's due to the fact that this site is more of a message board site. It's not that there isn't information not in message board format, but that's what most site visitors use. There's a lot more room for opinions instead of "just the facts" format when information is in message boards. But that doesn't explain why they listed Intercot.

If I made the list, I sure would have put the DIS on it! I do think some of the other sites are very valuable for vacation planning also.

Wdwinfo.com is still primarily an info site with a link to the DISboards.

Maybe because the Dis handles travel arrangements?

Maybe the DIS is just too honest and allows "bad news" as well as good news to be discussed?

Who knows? Deb Wills site is awesome and she does a great job of keeping everything current. I always spend alot of time there when I'm planning a trip. And of course they were obligated to mention Disney's own site - that's not a huge surprise.

I was surprised too, but they sure know we're here!

Last year I had some DVC issues, and I happened to mention a Disney board that I regulary post on. The Manager turns to me and said "Oh, so you post on the DIS?"

They seemed impressed about the number of Disney addicts that gather here. So, maybe they don't acknowledge us publicly, but they certainly know about us!
