NTDIANE, I never had the impression that you thought that you were doing anything wrong. Indeed, in your post you said that the offer was for all Disney Visa holders. It is not your fault if you were given the wrong information.

Oddly, I was given the same information as Diane. In fact, I was not even asked for my Disney VISA card number until I was ready to put the deposit on the ressie...all I needed was the code. Hopefully this will work out for others as well.

I am really trying to move on. I am going out shopping today and will not be using my Disney Visa. I have told my friends about how Disney Visa is treating their Day 1 members and they have said they will not use there Disney Visa's either. Their choice. I will even stop in at a travel agent to see about trips to other destinations like Hawaii and even a cruise to Alaska.

I've learned something from this experience. Unfortunately it has left me a bit jaded, but Disney Visa will enjoy their new customers, while an old loyal customer is put out to graze........

I just called the 800# and the CM said that you had to open the account in February of 2004. Oh well. I'll try again later.

I was offered the deal after calling and speaking with Winfield. I've had my disney Visa at least a year. It is basically an FTP package. I currently have reservations for Easter week and the current Visa package begins on May 1st. The rate I was just quoted beat my current rate for Easter week by several hundred dollars. It's certainly worth the call to try. I have to make decision on whether or not to cancel for Easter. Good Luck.

I called twice. The first time I had someone who had NO idea what I was talking about. I politely thanked her and tried again.
The second time I had a wonderful CM who checked and double checked and then got the guest services manager to talk to me.
He was very nice and told me that unfortunately it was only for new card members. He told me to wait "patiently" and continue to check the internet because other specials would be coming. He also said that summer passholder rates would be out soon.
He would not give me any specifics about what the other specials would be but I think he was alluding to a deal for all Disney holders and for the general public after the April 28th deadline for the new cardmembers.

I was told by Bank One that it was not for ALL new cardholders, only a certai group.

I still find it odd that some are getting the offer and aren't new card holders.

I was told the same thing by Bank One on Friday. Not all new card holders get the deal. Although I did get a different answer when I called on Sunday.

All these inconsistencies are ridiculous! The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. I wonder whose bright idea it was to start this campaign.

Like stated above by me, it is not only for new cardmembers, as I have had my card for over a year. I don't know what the common denominator is with the last four digits. It is worth not only calling, but a little courteous prodding won't heart. I mentioned hearing it from friends and on the web. It is a worthwhile package beginning 5/01/04 thru October. This is just a reminder that posting codes is only allowed on the DIS boards if it is confirmed that code is valid for everybody. This was a huge problem a few years back Many people thought they had a great deal only to find out when they arrived at WDW they did not qualify and if they wanted to stay they had to pay a much higher rate.
