How is the Fairfield Inn across from Disneyland? Is it clean? I found a one night stay there for $129, which seems like a pretty good deal considering the location. Any other good (relatively inexpensive) recommendations?

FFI is our favorite of the close hotels but we are Marriott Rewards points collectors, so that's the main reason. Its clean, nicer than BWPPI IMHO, though not as nice as one of the Courtyards or Residence Inns nearby ... but those are farther walk so you lose on location. Highly recommended. Though usually I look for rates in the $109 range there...

We're Marriott folks, too, and the Fairfield is a typical Marriott property. We were there this month and it was clean and we loved the location.

Another Marriott groupie here. We prefer Residence Inn, but also like the Fairfield because it is closer.

If you want super cheap, but outdated (yet clean) dh and ds stayed at the anaheim plaza inn and said it was good.

We stayed there in July and I am completely sold!! We have been trying to decide on a good, clean hotel on Harbor ( location, location!!) and we have found the place we love. Staff was great, rooms and lobby have just been renovated, and there is a great view of the fireworks on one side of the hotel! I cannot express how handy it was to be RIGHT next to McDonalds. It was perfect for a cheap breakfast or happy meal for my DD :goodvibes. A year ago there was a sale where if you purchased in advance you could get rates at $89/night. Not since the renovation though!:rotfl2: $129 seems right, but they will probably have a new promo on the Marriott page since the summer promo is almost expired. I would keep a lookout for that. We are Marriott points collectors also, so that is another motivator!! The walk from there is great, not long at all! Enjoy your stay!

I'd go ahead with FFI. It is clean, close, has great service and is relatively inexpensive. Unless I find a absolutely fantastic deal elsewhere, the FFI is where I plan to stay from now on. I don't think you'd be dissappointed! :goodvibes

Thanks for all the tips - I was able to book with a AAA discount. Looking forward to staying there.

Great choice! We just returned and had a very nice stay. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have about the hotel. :)

Stayed there on my last Disneyland trip. I found it to be ever-so-slightly worn around the edges, but still clean and comfortable. I got it for $99 a night for three nights in May when I stayed there, but that still seems like a reasonable price.

I stayed there during the D23 Expo. It was very clean and appeared newly renovated. The rooms are fairly large as well. There is Disney-themed art in the rooms, the lobby, and the area outside of the elevators. My room even had a fireworks view! The Pizza Hut Express is also very convenient. I would definitely stay there again.
