Going dec 19-23 and I know it’s already going to be crazy busy. We are actually staying on resort so we could utilize those early morning hours. Do you recommend avoiding those parks because it will be busier or do you go get that extra hour?

Also if Disney extends hours in December are they likely to further extend the already apointed
Extra magic hour day or do they just extra hours into a park that doesn’t have extra hours?

I can’t speak to the first part, but it is possible that Disney will change the park hours in a way that pushes morning EMH earlier or evening EMH later.

Rope drop is great for riding everything but headliners. The headliners get mobbed in the morning, although if they extend EEMH to December, you can probably get some decent wait times super early in the morning.

Another option for headliners is to get in line just before park closing time. Wait times are invariably shorter than the rest of the day.

P.S.: I am jealous about one thing: you`re going to get ROTR!

thank you! I was curious about that as they usually extend hours! Hoping for some even earlier hours.

So pumped just can’t decide on park days!

The basic strategy is to go to MK on party days. Crowds are always lighter than on a non-party day. If you want to see HEA, just parachute in one night and watch them from the entrance of the park (the hub is overwhelmed during the fireworks).

The pattern typically follows early entrance parks pickup in noticable crowd levels by around 11-noon. Many people do not purchase park hoppers, but during peak time periods you might consider them, but it may take longer to get out of a park and get to a less busy park. Especially, MK on Christmas Day...use their mobile app to guage wait times and crowds

Looks like EM morning hours have changed from 6 AM to 7 AM for 2 of the parks next month. Disney is really ticking me off!

For October, DHS is the only park that has had daily 6am Extra Magic Hours on the schedule. MK and DAK has had daily 7am Extra Magic Hours on the schedule. None of that appears to have changed.

Okay, I thought I had seen 6AM at the other parks. Disney is still ticking me off though for other reasons. 😉 Like for instance no After Hours in October.😄 Thanks for the clarification.

If you have hoppers i highly suggest going to the earliest park hours then leaving to go to another
Park as they get busy... it worked well for us.
Also the nights of the christmas party magic kingdom has less people
