Does anyone know if cast are allowed to be int he park and on rides for the extra magic hours? I know guests have to have a special wristband at night so I was just wondering.

No, and if you get caught you can be terminated (and believe me, it has happened.) Anything that is considered a "hard ticket" event such as Extra Magic Hours, Parties, etc. are off limits to Cast Members unless they have purchased a ticket. So for EMH, you would have to be staying at a hotel to be able to go.

She's totally right. People are quite silly about that. You don't have a wristband, you're not supposed to be there. Extra Magic Hours are just for GUESTS staying at WDW Hotels.

If you stay with your family in a resort when they come to visit can you go with them for extra magic hours?

Yes, you can go to EMH if your staying with your family at the resort. You just need to take your room key along with you ID.

Totally! You have to have proof that you are staying in the room (each person will be issued a separate key).

Remember, if you want your family to get your discount you have to be staying in the room, or at least on the reservation. You may pay more for another person, but it will still be a hell of a lot less than if you make the reservation without you. You also have to be there at check in to get the discount.

I read someone's blog where they talked about this. They said that they found two unused wristbands in the front of the park and decided to use them. Luckily they weren't caught but they were nervous. I would be too!

Even though they don't use wristbands anymore, they still ask you to show your hotel key before you get onto any rides.

It seemed everyone wonders about being able to get into EMHs - I remember my roommates when we moved into Vista all were bummed they couldn't get into them. Honesty you'll be at Disney for months and you'll find days to go to the park where the park is empty. You'll know all the tips and tricks to beat the crowds. Heck during my program we went to park many many many times where the park was much less crowded then during EMH (I worked attractions and saw first hand how long lines could get during EMH).

Yeah I'm sure you'll have free days with no lines.

I love Disney at night though. I would probably stay just to hang out and not even ride anything. No problem with that here.

You will find that after working for a while you will create your EMH. In my location I was always one of the last 5 people to leave the park when I had certain duties. During this time as I left the night air would settle in and all you could hear were the animals, it was better than riding any attraction, because how many people get to be at a WDW park with only hand full of people there.

Nowadays you have to show a room key card with a valid date on it to ride attractions during EMH. Many shops also require you show your room key when you make purchases during that time to make sure only resort guests are there.
Don't risk getting termed using room keys you find. Just go another time. You'll have plenty of chances to visit the parks when they aren't so busy.
