Does anyone know if Disney does special pricing on the Exquisite Evenings for people who don't drink?

My family and I attended the South African dinner last year and loved the food, etc. This year we want to go back, but we have a member in our party who is a recovering alcoholic and won't be drinking. It doesn't seem fair for them to pull price. I was wondering if Disney does any packages for non-drinkers.

Thanks!

I have asked this same question of the person who is in charge of the office at Disney Dining Experienc, which handles the special meals. I was told that the answer is no, as there is no real way to control someone once they are in. And they would rather not wristband everyone who is eligible for alcoholic beverages.

I encounter this problem all the time, so it doesn't surprise me that Disney doesn't change the price for non-drinkers. Us non-drinkers typically just get screwed. Case and point.....my ten year high school reunion....the hefty $50 price tag includes all you can drink alcohol and (wait for it) pizza. So I'm paying 50 bucks for pizza. Yep.

No special pricing if you don't drink. You just go and enjoy the food.

A great deal of the emphasis during an Exquisite Evening at Epcot is on the wine and how it pairs with the food. That is not to say that someone who does not drink cannot enjoy the food without the wine. However, there is so much wine flowing that it may not be the best entertainment choice for a recovering alcoholic. Since you've been to a Signature Dinner before, you've probably considered this before inviting the recovering alcoholic. The evenings involve alot of tasting and talking about wine!

I can agree wit this post. As soo as you go in they are passing chanpagne out. The wine makers spend a great deal of time talking about the wines and it's kind of "part" of it.
There are a lot of other dinners during food and wine that might be more suitable for a person that doesn't drink. I don't think I would spend that kind of money and not be able to enjoy the wine features. JMO
