OK, I've been looking for recipies for a long time and have come up with two things that work. Today, I was craving a Dole whip SOOOOOO BAD, but didn't have the time to actually make it all from scratch/homemade...so I did something quick that satisfied my oh so bad craving

Pineapple sherbert (approx. 1/2 container- you may wish to use more)
orange juice- not too much-(try 1/3 cup)
a little fresh lemon juice (I used the juice of 1/2 a lemon)
cool whip (4 oz)- I used 1/2 of the container
crushed pineapple (half of a can is what I used)

I mixed all of this up (to my liking- you can certainly work with the amounts to your liking!!) with my hand blender. I ate some of it to try it after mixing, to see if it tasted good and it did!!!! It was sooooooo yummy.

I put it in the freezer for half an hour and it was perfect. I made mine into a "float" by adding dole pineapple juice...

So, it's not perfect, but DARN CLOSE and it tasted SOOOOOO good.

You put it in the freezer for a half hour? How is that "express"? :teeth: Seriously, I admire your willpower.

eta: your version was a lot more natural than the actual Dole Whip (from a mix - honestly!)

Well, it's express compared to all the other recipes I've found and tried for it. This is the shortest amount of "freezing" time- the next shortest was one and a half hours...
AND, it didn't really even have to be frozen- it tasted really good before it was frozen, and it was "shake-like"...

I'm going to have to try this, we are IN LOVE with Dole Whip floats, we had them twice the days we were in the MK.

This sounds like a great recipe. Thanks for posting. I'd love to try it, but I was wondering if you could specify what sizes you meant by

"Pineapple sherbert (approx. 1/2 container- you may wish to use more)" what size container?

"crushed pineapple (half of a can is what I used)" what size can?

Guessing, until the OP gets back: Pint container of pineapple sherbet (can possibly substitute sorbet); approximately sixteen ounce, or 'standard' size can of crushed pineapple.
