EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

When I talked to the IPO for my upcoming visit to the CR, they said that they would book the 60 day FPs for us. I didn't ask about the 3rd and up ones, however. They gave me the date that I can have them start doing my initial ones.

I think I'll email the Polynesian IPO and see what they say. I wanted to ask here first, to see if I would be way out of line to ask them about this. :scratchin

I didn't specifically ask about FP+, but this what the BC IPO sent me:

"I received your arrival information. Your vacation plans are looking great so far, you picked a lot of great restaurants! Keep in mind Fastpasses can be set up 60 days in advance. You still have a few weeks before you can start booking those. Let me know if you have any other questions or room requests."

I read that to mean that I would be responsible for them (although, I guess it could go either way!)

As I said, it wouldn't surprise me to see FP booking being added. And the set up where they partly dealt with FP and partly didn't is confusing.

I think this is a great question to ask IPO!

I posted more with the idea that we shouldn't assume anything yet.

These are great questions to ask, they are there to help. All the IPO's are pretty good about letting you know if something can be done or not. They are very used to questions.

One thing I might add, in my experience the IPO's are a bit brief and sort of formal in their emails. If I have a question that is along the lines of, "Is it possible for you to assist me with xyz" I always call. I find I can ask a follow up question if need be, and they can do the same. It's kind of surprising how friendly they are over the phone, vs how some of the emails sound.

On the other hand, I always email them how I'm arriving, and the approx time. I never fill out the form, I just shoot an email.

Good point. I agree not to assume anything, and I'd add things with Disney seem to always change. It's great we have this thread to share information. ::yes::

Hey CL gang! :) I just booked our summer vacation, June 17-24 at the GF RPC! :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc Their IPO team was right on the ball and sent me a welcome email and forms to fill out less than 24 hours after booking. Very impressive! :thumbsup2 I'm trying not to focus too much on that trip yet since we've got our spring break stay at Kidani coming up next month, but I can't help it!

Here is the reply that I got back from the Polynesian IPO:

Aloha!

Thank you for your email!

If you need assistance with booking FastPass+ selections at your 60 day mark, please give us a call at the number below between 9am and 6pm.

Have a magical day!

Mahalo,

I take to mean that I shouldn't email my selections to them beforehand, but if I'm such a dope as to need "help" on my 60 day mark, give them a call. :lmao:

I've been staying club level at the Polynesian for many years, so IPO isn't new to me; just whether or not they've been making the FP+ selections or not. Back in the day, I used to LOVE to get up early and make my own ADRs (back then they were Priority Seatings), even though I knew IPO would/could do them for me.

But now my health problems have gotten worse, and some days I'm not able to be up early and/or thinking clearly on any given day, so having IPO handle these things for me is a great resource. ::yes::

When my 60 day mark rolls around, I'll decide whether to call them with my list, or do it myself. At least I already have a "My Disney Experience" account all set up with my resort and park tickets already linked. :surfweb:

This seems like a great service to offer guests who might not feel confident with their ability to book fastpasses quick enough to get the ones they want. For those of us who are fluent with the fastpass process I can't imagine they could do any better than I could do for myself jumping right on at midnight on my 60 day mark.

Thanks!! I didn't even realize that these could be booked at midnight, although I probably would've researched more before the 60 day mark. I'm going in August which I think will be fairly crowded, so the FPs might go fast for that week.

I think as long as you get them at midnight on day 60 you'll be fine to do them yourself. I haven't had any issues getting tough FPs, we even got Anna & Elsa and SDMT for Christmas Day.

So a question about when the IPO contacts you. I changed our room at AKL from an Arusha view to Club level last week but I haven't received anything from the IPO. This is our first time ever getting a club level room so I really don't know what to expect. Do I need to let them know this is for our 20th anniversary or will they see that on the reservation? Any help would be great. Thanks for all the info of this thread too!

It's kind of hit or miss whether you get an email from the IPO. I usually send them an introductory email. I include the reservation # and last name in the subject line. (contact information is in the first post in this thread.)
I would let them know it's your 20th anniversary. Congrats!pixiedust:

Hey gang :) Just updating page 1 a bit... does anyone have any recent GF room pics I can use? The ones we have posted are old. Thanks! :)

I have some I took late November 2014. Please feel free to use whichever ones you'd like! We were in room 4313, Main Bldg - Standard Room - Club Level.
Hopefully I'm doing this right! Please let me know! I also have RPC lounge pics if you happen to need some of those too.

Perfect MinnieMeep! That's exactly what I needed to update! THANK YOU!!! :goodvibes

Aw, I'm getting sad for my upcoming AKL CL stay now. :( it sounds like the lounge is difficult to enjoy.
I went at Christmas. We had no issues at all with the lounge and its offerings. There was always enough room for us.

Honestly, it was a lovely trip, and they made it that way. We had no issues having DD's allergies accommodated (it had taken a few days last trip, and they serve nuts in the lounge - so we constantly had to seek other food out for her). That was great and made us very happy.

We had to request a deep cleaning on our room in advance due to an illness / disability for a member in our family before check in. When we arrived, the room had obviously not been cleaned as thoroughly as needed (we noted it had obviously not been vacuumed, along with other things). We called CL concierge immediately and they told us it would be a few hours to clean a room, but they would have one for us. I was anxious about it, and told them so.

The gentleman I talked to was very kind, encouraged us to go to the parks, and told us he would make sure that we were very happy with the room when we came back. When we got back, we had been upgraded to a suite for the entirety of our stay. It was amazing. We had a large Christmas tree in the room like we have at home. My kids were so happy about that tree it was ridiculous!

Getting the upgrade was seriously good luck as well. About two days into the vacation, one of the kids in our family (usually the healthy one!) became sick on the trip, causing us to stay in the room more than usual. Having the extra room helped during that time.

I can't believe how much they helped us. Either they pitied us or they decided to seriously spread some major Christmas pixie dust on our vacation. I will be forever grateful for that. They made our vacation a great one despite the hiccups we had.

I haven't even listed all the good stuff they did for us, but I will throw in one last one. On Christmas morning, they were worried we wouldn't make it to Chef Mickey's on time due to the insane traffic trying to go into MK. The sick kiddo was finally doing better, and all he was asking about was Chef Mickey's. They called immediately and left Chef Mickey's a message, but also put us on a taxi instead of sending us on the regular bus. How sweet is that? Those are not things to expect... but they are all pixie dust.

Amazing job, AKL CL and Disney!
