EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

It's really difficult to be specific when I don't know what my options are at all. I had posted here before asking if anyone knew what my options were and for ideas and I was told to ask IPO. So I did ask IPO about having a sweet snack for two left in the room and what my options were (including the room service menu) and was told "Yes, we can arrange lots of things what would you like?" I clearly stated it had been years since I stayed at that particular resort so I was unfamiliar with what the current possibilities would be (and I definitely asked about the back page of the room service menu that I vaguely recalled existing years ago). Since I had no clue as to what my options were it was a bit difficult to answer what I would like beyond my somewhat general idea.

I'm not expecting anyone to magically "read my mind". I explained what I wanted to do and asked very clearly what my options were. I (not unreasonably, I would think) expected to actually have my questions answered - like be told if the room service options still existed what they actually were. There was no suggestion of them leaving lounge dessert options in my room - I was merely told that the lounge has "a pretty sweet selections of desserts and foods for your enjoyment all included with your club level stay." Without stating that they could leave some of that in our room, I had no idea that was even an option.

As I previously stated, in every email I kept asking what my options were and was given answers like there are snacks in the lounge, the bakery makes some neat cakes, etc. before I finally got an actual option of brownies or crispy treats could probably be left in the room. My question/s about the room service menu were never answered/addressed.

I don't think my expectation that I would be contacted with some options if it were at all possible was unreasonable or expecting them to "read my mind."

Maybe this would be a good thing to add to the FAQ in the future so that people like me who don't stay club level all the time, but want to arrange something have a better idea of the possibilities.

In all my CL stays I have found that when I have a specific question or want something arranged it is ALWAYS better to call them. Emails fall through the cracks, they are buried in dining requests, so anytime I want to talk about ideas or ask questions they're always happy to talk to me on the phone. :) Plus I think it's easier to explain myself and get details having a verbal conversation. It's old fashioned I know! :goodvibes

May I ask which resort this was at? We're arriving around midnight on Christmas Eve, staying WL CL, and I was wondering where we could get a snack that late. I didn't think of this option! Some milk and cookies on Christmas Eve would be perfect.

We will be at the WL CL for Christmas too :)

AKL was originally participating in the texting service. Does anyone know if they still are? That was one of the main reasons we decided to go concierge again this year!

I asked at check in at poly and was told currently test at CR, GF and AKL. That was on 11/18. They did not say how long the test would last.

We loved it on our August trip:thumbsup2 Hope it is still available for your trip:goodvibes

Hey guys, just wondering if there are any CL's that are open past 10pm. Thank you!

Also, does Swan and Dolphin have it?

Thanks!

They all close at 10:00 pm but some lounges do leave dry snacks and soda out overnight. Like crackers or pretzels. I remember Beach Club did.

Swan and Dolphin don't have club level anymore.

Does anyone know if this includes the club level villas?

Thank you very much! Great to know!!!

We just checked in At the BC--the lounge is amazing. So spacious and plenty of seating. The refurb is beautiful, too.

Hi! Hope that you are having an enjoyable visit!

Is the refurb finished, do you know? We are coming to the BC in January and are wondering what to expect re construction/refurb issues?

We are looking forward to the new lounge. Happy to hear that there is more seating. Are the food offerings laid out any better now?

Thanks for any info!

With the new BC design, the lounge is now locked. The CM who checked us in while giving us hours, said it would be open overnight, and then stopped himself and said, "Check that--not used to saying it would be closed now at 10."

I haven't stayed WL or AKL CL yet, but to my knowledge:

Access to fridge overnight:
YC, CR, GF, Poly

No access to fridge overnight:
BC, BW

Yes! I posted a ton of pictures, as did another member, in the YC/BC thread. The refurb is beautiful and the lounge is incredibly spacious with plenty of seating and lots of room to move around and get what you need.

The coffee is out at 6:30 on the table near the elevators

Hello everyone! :wave2:

I have so enjoyed spending my free time reading this thread over the last few weeks. Such a nice little escape from real life! I really appreciate all the information.

It seems like info on the King Deluxe rooms in the main building at GF is hard to find. Hopefully someone can give me some guidance regarding the best way to list my two requests.

In the room will be me, dh, and ds5. I really would love to stay in one of the turret rooms, mostly because I would like the extra room, and because it is totally on my bucket list! But we would also like to be near the lounge. It really is nice to be able for either DH or myself to slip out and grab breakfast, or a glass of wine in the evening and not have it be a big production.

Are there many turret rooms near the lounge? Do I need to really decide which is most important, or should I just ask for both and hope for the best?

Thanks so much for your input!

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere, but we're just back from a CR and Poly CL split stay. This was our fourth time staying club level, and as dumb as it sounds, I think the amenity I look forward to the most (besides immediate coffee a few minutes after I open my eyes) is the bigger bottles of the H2O Spa products in Sea Salt/Marine, which I love using and then taking home with me since the big bottles that you can purchase in the stores can't go home with us in our carry-on luggage. I think they've discontinued that practice as all we received were the small bottles of the grapefruit bergamot that they give at all of the deluxe resorts. Small gripe--not really a big deal--but just sad that they've scaled back on the products.

If you have any questions about either lounge, let me know. :thumbsup2

Do they have small bottles of water at CR Club level that we can take with us or should we bring a case of water with us?

Checked in to the beach club yesterday. I am very impressed by the level of service here. The CL staff is amazing. If there are any questions while I'm here I will be happy to answer or find out.

They did not have bottled water when we were there earlier this year, the only lounges I've seen that have bottled water available were YC and BC. With the new refurb at BC I don't know if that has changed. I would highly recommend bringing your own bottled water if that is important to you. Even at the YC/BC there were times they ran out due to demand.
