EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

Do most of you do online check in? I've had 2 CL stays and didn't use online check in because CL takes you up to lounge to check in. But was thinking of using on line check in this time? Is there any advantage to checking in online for CL :confused3. Any disadvantage?

I never did online check in but did for this June. We stay YC CL every year garden view. There are 5 rooms in this category. I know every room so being automatically assigned to one of those rooms is fine with me. If I were not booked garden and say a lagoon vs. pool view was at stake, I would NOT do online check in b/c I would want a say in the room assignment. I doubt it is any time saver at all but I did it this trip but again only b/c I know every possible room assignment. If you are wanting a certain view or section, I wouldn't do online!
 
Does anyone know if any of the few Garden View CL rooms at the Beach Club have a day bed? Think I will ask on the BC resort thread, too. Thanks!

I saw a picture of one.. It faced the entry but overlooked trees and was categorized as Garden

I have used it with both CL stays. I live 2 hours away, so I am always arriving at 9am.. 95% of the time, my room has been ready when I do Online check in. I have also requested areas and for the most part, it is right on.
The only problem I had was at GF in February. They gave us a dormer room, and while it was lovely.. I needed the daybed for my daughter (my mother slept in the other queen)

I like the check in and if there is a problem with room location.. I haven't had a problem getting moved.

The credit card, I don't worry about. If you want IPO to book anything for you, they will need it and I have never been asked to present the card when I have done online checkin
 

Thank you. I would think they did also. Yacht Club does this so I assumed GF would but you never know.:thumbsup2
 
We are staying at AKL CL soon and I did the on line check in, because last time we stayed there we told them we were staying CL and were sent to the regular line to check in. Not sure if that's just an AKL thing or not.
 
Does wdw-club or booking dinning ressies through the concierge get us any better chances to make reservations? We are going at the end of November, I'm at 177 days out, party of 10 (it's during the free dining offer), I'm trying to book, and I'm not finding anything available (I was able to book only 2 of my 8 planned). Just wondering if conceirge can pull strings?:eek::headache:
 
Not for us anyways... I thought that would be one extra perk of CL but to me it seemed CL reps had the same times/dates, etc. avail as I found online doing it myself...

And for BBB and PL I got better with calling BBB myself, the CM I got was so nice, she got my BBB apt. a CRT time and a PL time without a problem... Whereas the IPO guy I spoke to for one Chef Mickeys res seemed sooo annoyed that I called him!!!

Unfortunately, IPO doesn't have any pull when it comes to making ADRs as they have the same chance of getting what you want as you do. With that said, you could email them what you want, but also keep looking yourself and cancel any duplicates should both of you get some of the same ones.
 
If there's a particular ADR I want that I don't see available online I always email IPO and have them work on it. In March we wanted a BOG dinner and they got us one with only a couple of weeks notice. :thumbsup2

We have thought about switching to club level, depending on the resort, price etc. The amenities look great. I have one question that I can not find an answer to anywhere.

Since we booked rather late, all the popular restaurants are booked solid out entire trip. We were looking at Be Our Guest, Cinderella's Royal Castle, those types of places. So, can the concierge find ways to get us into the restaurants, even though they are "full". That would be a major factor for us in deciding whether or not to go club level. Thanks in advance for your help!

It doesn't better your chances.. But, they do seem to check more often. I requested BOG for our February trip.. They told me it wasn't available.. But it did become available later and I got an email from IPO.

Speaking of IPO, they sent me my greeting email and itinerary tonight.. 53 days!!:cool1:

We are not big on ADR's but I have stayed in the Atrium club. If you can swing it the club level is special. Sometimes when I do a mom n me my dd I move the last day to club level for some extra magic.

The breakfast is quick and easy. The 5pm apps are great to get a bite and head out to the park. We love to get dessert and watch EWP or Fireworks.

The staff at the lounge are very attentive. Just ask and they will try to help.

Sometimes they can get ADR's but I don't have experience with that.

If you stick with your room now you will love that view. Sounds like a great anniversary:goodvibes

However, it seems like they either check more often, or maybe get info when there is a cancellation and snatch it up for you. Is that accurate?

That can happen at any resort when there is no one available or free from CL to check you in.
 
Maybe I've just been lucky but they've always been able to find something for me when it comes to ADRs. Maybe because I never request a specific time. I don't know. But usually I just tell them to grab anything that's available during my stay and I'll make it work. It might be an early opening at 4:00 or a late dinner at 9:30, but they'll still get me in more times than not. :thumbsup2 I'm not sure about CRT because we don't eat there. But we've eaten at BOG many times. :goodvibes
