EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

It's myself and my four children and I'll be honest with you.. my main concern is about the food offerings and I'm hoping to mostly eat from there and not in the restaurants. I like that GF is on the monorail (never did that before) but that's secondary to them being happy with our meals.. if you know what I mean. :)

We stayed at the Sugar Loaf in GF and also the BC CL. The Sugar Loaf had much more food than the BC CL. For Breakfast besides breakfast foods they had bread and some cold cuts so you could make sandwiches for lunch. The best things my kids remember is the balls of fresh mozzarella for breakfast. The evening appetizers were better at Sugar Loaf as well.

The other thing nicer about GF SL was that you can sit in the lounge area all day - because it is in the lobby - it never closed. I will say that the people at the BC CL were much nicer. Didn't feel the Magic at GF SL. Also it isn't a fast walk to the monorail.

OK, I did it - I booked us for AKL CL over Marathon weekend in January. It will be our first CL stay & my husband is very excited! I figure after the marathon I will definitely get our money's worth in snacks & food. :rotfl:

Congrats on booking your first CL stay. We haven't tried AKL CL, but it's on our list as we not only love AKL, but I have read nothing but great things about its CL.

Okay, so my question is about GF CL.. is there a difference in the CL experience (food offerings, etc) between the outer bldg and the main bldg locations? Like is the outer bldg (Sugar Loaf) chintzier or something?

The food offerings are the same, but the lounges are worlds apart, IMO. I didn't like SL as I thought the lounge was small and cramped with not enough seating to accommodate the amount of people staying there (just my opinion). I also don't like how the lounge is located right inside the lobby of the SL building as it's not a very relaxing place (at least not to me) to sit as people are constantly coming and going from the building. There are also no views from the lounge since it's located in the center of the lobby right when you walk in the building. Main building CL, however, is amazing as the views from the lounge are great, the CL CMs are awesome, and it's relaxing sitting in the lounge listening to the band play in the lobby. Keep in mind that these are just my opinions and although I'm glad I was able to try SL, I wouldn't spend the extra money to stay there again.

I think my post got lost or something! LOL I was super really hoping someone could help me.. if you had to choose between BWI CL and GF outer bldg CL... which would you choose?

My choice would be BWI CL for two reasons:

1. We've never stayed at BWI and it's a resort I'd like to try (and from reports I've read, BWI CL gets rave reviews)

2. I didn't care for SL, so the extra cost wouldn't be worth it to me

Haven't been on this particular thread in quite a while. So, I apologize if this has been discussed a lot. Does anyone know the actual dates of the BCR CL refurb yet? We will be there 9/20-9/27 this year. Thanks!

I just booked a BB offer for mid October and was looking for CL at any of the Epcot resorts and BW was the only one available. When I asked why, the CM told me the BC was getting its refurb then. Who knows for sure, as those resorts are becoming more and more difficult to book during F&W.

Does anybody know, what are the chances of getting a bunkbed room at CL at Wilderness lodge? Can you request this? Considering club level but really want a bunkbed. Kids sleep better apart. Thanks!

Bunk beds are only available by request on CL, but they will do their best to accommodate your requests. We requested one and got it. :goodvibes

We loved the BW studio! We had a BW view and were right over Big River Brewing. We loved walking to Epcot, and DHS, and over to Beach club to eat at Cape may. We didn't like the bus sharing to MK or AK :( I still say POP is the best bus service that goes a straight shot! The bakery was far from where we were to get coffee in the am and the other location off the lobby wasnt convenient either so our mugs went unused, but thats ok! We did breakfast in our room daily, lunch in parks...the CS didnt appeal to us at BW either. Dinner were all over and yummy! We were discussing doing less parks next april and more resort relaxing and a day going to the AMC movies, mini golf, and possibly 1 other activity. My younger DS didn't like the pool at BW and said that the slide hurt him going down. The pool was not that big and he doesn't do well in a crowded space in pools. We couldn't find any seats so I sat and held towels and everyone else stood. That is why we are looking into other options for next april in a studio.

I'm worried about our view. We are in a standard one bedroom, apparently from what I've read that's the only view available for cash reservations. I hope it isn't too terrible. We are planning to hit the grocery store and stock our kitchen with drinks and snacks, that should help since there really isn't anything close to where our room will be. I'm going with low expectations, at this point I can't be picky since it was the only Epcot resort choice left. We'll be close to Star wars weekend, and that's most important. Plus we'll have a rental car, so we can always drive if we need to. I'm sure it will be great. :goodvibes
AMC dine & view was so fun! We've done it a couple of times now, the kids think it is the coolest. ;)

Epcot resorts should never refurb during F&W! Why won't they listen to us??? ;)

This may seem a little OT but I promise it is relevant! What things from England/the UK do you like that you can't easily get in the US?

People have mentioned about bringing little gifts for the cast members in the lounge as a thank you, and I really like this idea, but I'm stuck for ideas on what to bring!

Dont worry about the view! We walked around every side of the hotel and have decided if we rent point again next year we could save money and book standard. All areas are pretty. Maybe the rooms directly over the front drive dme drop off area are noisier but just try to ask for not that area! We rent for 10.00 per point so trying to choose a studio for next April we are throwing akv cl in the mix!

Bunk beds are not a bookable category on CL, but they can be requested. With that said, make sure it's noted on your reservation and it also wouldn't hurt to email IPO and mention it to them. Sometimes requests get overlooked, so if you aren't given a room with bunk beds, you can always ask if one is available. Have a great trip. WL CL is amazing :wizard:.

I posted this on the Boardwalk page, but haven't gotten any responses -
DH and I will be staying at Boardwalk in October for our second stay there! I just booked while at POR last week and saved 35%! We've spoiled ourselves with CL in the past, and the only availability for our dates was in the Outer Garden Building. Anyone stayed there? The cost is silly, but I can kinda justify it through the BB offer. I'm concerned that we won't take advantage of the CL offerings since we'll be so far removed (or is it not that far?)
Any insight, input, complaints? Thanks so much!!

I haven't stayed in one but I think they look awesome! :) Here's a photo taken from our room on club level last year which was over the top of the garden suites:

It's not convenient to the lounge that is true. You'll have to come inside to the main set of elevators and go up to the top floor and enter the Inkeeper's Club the long way around I believe. There's no other way to access it. But I would assume the CL castmembers would be happy for you to take some bottles of water and cans of soda back to your room since it's such a long haul. :) We'd love a report when you get back!!! :cloud9:

Booking ADRs through CL staff question

Do you all use this service???

I am so afraid of giving up the ADR control:scared1:

What have been your experiences with concierge booking your ADRs??

Have you always gotten what you wanted??

Any problems??

Thanks!!

Not sure if I'm remembering this correctly or not....is there a thread that is all club level photos?? Thanks.

I think they do a great job! :thumbsup2 It's really just a personal decision to use them or book yourself. For me, I do my own because I'm very familiar with booking ADRs online, and I have plenty of time to do it. But for a lot of people they don't have the time to devote to it so it's easier to let IPO take over. I haven't heard anyone report a bad situation, I think the IPO CMs are good at what they do and can handle dining with ease. :goodvibes Giving the IPO CM a list of your restaurant choices before your 180 day mark is key of course. :)

There is a thread that has all room photos, but I don't believe there's one specifically just for CL. Was there a particular resort you were wanting to see? I have a pretty good collection. :)

I have done a mixture, let them book some and I booked some. Mostly because both times I stayed CL I started out at a regular room and started some ADR bookings myself.

Once I switched to a CL reservation I let IPO handle everything. And I have always gotten what I wanted when.

It's really nice to send them an email and not sit on the phone or deal with the website since it loves to be so glitchy
