EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

I'm finally back!! :) After 6 beautiful days in sunny San Diego I am in denial that I'm actually home to the snow and cold. The only thing to bring me out of my slump was to finally go ahead and book our spring break trip to WDW! :cool1: I had been hoping and praying YC CL would open up, but that just isn't going to happen. :sad2: But that's OK, I put on my big girl panties and went ahead and booked AKL CL instead! :thumbsup2 We haven't stayed there in a long time, so I'm excited to go back! Also it gives me a great chance to stock up on lots of AKL CL pictures for this thread!

Welcome back :). Congrats on booking a spring break trip. I'm sorry YC wasn't available, but yay on booking AKL CL :yay:. I'm getting close to booking AKL CL for a December trip, so I will be patiently waiting for all of your CL pics :goodvibes.

We had LV CL with 2 queens and a daybed, but our room was over the back entrance looking towards the Boardwalk. In order to get a SAB view you'll have to be down the hallway quite a long way, definitely a further walk for the lounge. Our room was only about 5 or 6 doors down from the lounge which worked great for our kids. :D My report with pictures should be on page 1 :thumbsup2

TigrLvsPooh,
I just read your detailed trip report and saw your pictures of the YC CL lounge. (Did you ever find out who the members of the British royal family were that were staying there when you were there?) My family was hoping to have a view of Stormalong Bay, so it looks like my chances of getting a room with 2Qs and a daybed are small. There are only four of us, and we could manage OK with the 2Qs, but we were hoping for a daybed. I'm hoping there's enough space in the room for a rollaway, just in case.

We did find out! But now I can't remember who they were. :lmao: That whole experience really was a hoot! I will never forget a team of people coming into the lounge to set a table for them with those white tablecloths and silverware! But we'll never be ROYALS... :cool2:

We used a roll away at YC a few years ago for my mom. It wasn't terrible, mainly we just lost that area near the sliding door where we usually setup our suitcases. But it did fit. :thumbsup2

We love daybeds too for our family of 4 because my boys do not like sleeping together. Many times we've actually taken cushions and comforters and made a bed on the floor for our youngest because he flat out refused to get in bed with his brother. ;) I'm requesting bunkbeds at AKL next month, I have no idea what our chances are for those but I think the boys would prefer them. I need to do some research on the CL rooms there, it has been so many years since we've stayed I don't even know what requests to make.

Welcome back Erika! :goodvibes

Does anyone know if GF CL offers mimosas? I remember reading that one of the CL's does, but I can't remember which one. :confused3

We were in YC CL in May and Poly CL in August! Almost the same! :thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing your reviews! I will add those in! :cool1:

Oh boy, I can hardly wait. 1st time staying CL! We have BC reserved for early June.

We are celebrating my special needs daughter's High School graduation! It's a very special occasion. Should I contact them and let them know our celebration for her and also, to let them know she has a seizure response service dog, a very handsome 78 lb Golden-Doodle traveling with us?

I would love to see any Trip reports from CL at the BC.

We are booked with a water view, so will that be either the lake or SAB?
Do all CL rooms have full balconies?
I so want to just sit out there and enjoy the view with a beverage and relax with my lovely wife while our daughter naps in the afternoon.
Any rooms have better balconies or views than others?
Are there corner rooms that give a little more room than other rooms?

And anything else any of you want add.

Thanks for all your thoughts and comments, I look forward to reading this thread as it grows and then being able to contribute after.

GREAT pics!!!! :thumbsup2 Thank you so much for sharing them! And guess what?? I LOVE CUPCAKES TOO!!! ::yes::::yes::::yes::::yes::

haha, good to hear! :goodvibes I love it when the club levels have mini cupcakes for dessert...though it'd be fun if they did more gourmet cupcakes there too!

I don't think I've seen mimosas out, but I'm pretty sure they do have champagne in the evening. I remember one evening a cast member offered a strawberry to add to my aunt's glass of champagne!

We are thinking about adding a few nights at AKL CL during our August vacation. We've never stayed CL at AKL and I think the kids would love it. I'm somewhat confused though with the CL rooms/views. If I look on the WDW website, it seems as though all of the CL rooms have an Arusha Savanna view. Is this true? If so, I'm puzzled as to why there is very little, if any, price difference between the Arusha Savanna bunk bed rooms and Standard CL rooms. Thanks!

I can't comment on BC CL as we've never stayed CL there, but we have stayed CL at other resorts and you're going to love it. It's nice having the lounge for someplace else to relax other than in the room or around the resort and the food offerings are great if you will be around the resort to take advantage of them.

As far as a balcony, not all rooms at the BC come with a full balcony, so that would be a request and (unfortunately) is not guaranteed. However, if you are assigned a room without one, you can always ask if one might be available later in the day if you are willing to wait :). With that said, all rooms at the YC (except one, I think) come with a full balcony, so if a balcony is a priority, you might consider switching to the YC if that's an option.

I can't help much as we've never stayed CL at the AKL, but sometimes the room categories just below CL at various resorts tend to be close in price to a CL room. With that said, since AKL divided their room categories up, it is very possible that you can get an Arusha view CL room for not much more than an Arusha view BB room. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but hopefully someone else will be able to give some more insight :flower3:.

All bc cl gv rooms have balconies but beware of handicapped one that is bc cl gv

Just got a call from AKL CL IPO welcoming me for my upcoming trip and asking if I needed any help with anything. :goodvibes I have a feeling this is going to be a great vacation! Only 29 more days of waiting!!!!!!!! :cool2::cloud9:

Congratulations on booking Beach Club CL! Sounds like a wonderful celebration! I would definitely let IPO know about your celebration and about your service dog. We stayed CL for the first time at BC this past July and had a great experience! We were also in a water view room and had requested a full balcony. I believe the CL floor has a higher percentage of full balconies, but I would still note your request on your reservation.

We were in room 5175. It was a LONG walk from the lounge and main elevators, but sooo worth it when we saw the view! If I can figure out how to post pictures I would love to share them. We had a beautiful view of SAB and the lake and Boardwalk. I could sit out on that balcony every day! It did get a little noisy in the afternoon from the activities at the pool, but it didn't bother us too much.

Oh wow- it worked! Let me post some more!

ETA: The picture of the beach is not a room view, just a pretty pic of the BC grounds :)
