EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

Just returned from our first club level stay (AKL/GF) and it was glorious! We loved it so much that we booked a bounceback for Sept, this time at CR Club Level! I loved that jungle juice in the AKL lounge (I am craving it now!!) and the texting function they were testing for the GF concierge guests was very cool and helpful! I can't wait to be back!!

Do tell... my boyfriend and I are stay for our first club level stay at AKL this May. SUPER excited about it.

And I have heard the jungle juice mimosas are to die for!

I have seen several people mention this pin code, what is this magical thing?
PIN codes are mailed out by Disney to specific guests for specific discounts which are usually better than what's being offered to the general public. There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason to their distribution....I have been to Disney several times and have never received one. My sister just got one last week; she was in Disney this past June after a 10-year hiatus. Clearly they know they do not need to "entice" my family back with special offers! Lol!

However, the spring offer that everyone is talking about IS available to the general public right now...up to 30% off rooms with an additional 5% discount if you book by Feb. 1st (though I may be off on the book by date). Check the "special offers" section of the website for details and availability.

We are currently enjoying our stay at the Yacht Club CL since we arrived on Sunday. Earlier this afternoon we walked over to EPCOT and did our FP+ attractions. After leaving Soarn' at 5:00 the walk back thru future world and world showcase was unbelievably crazy busy( seemed way worse than last year). It was so nice to be able to walk back to our room and enjoy appetizers and an adult beverage from the lounge and rest a bit. We are planning on watching MK fireworks from our balcony at 7:30 and later go back to epcot and the craziness for nye. We even were able to add another FP+ for late tonight. The YC CL is wonderful!

Hello! Please forgive me if this has been asked already, this thread has 100+ pages! My husband and I are taking our very first trip to WDW. We currently have a Savanna View room at AKL booked. I've been looking into club level and I keep seeing different answers. Do CL rooms come with a Savanna view? If not, I'm not going to book CL because we really want a Savanna View. I have read that they do, and I have read that they don't always come with one. Thank you!

Yes, the Club Level rooms at AKL come with Arusha Savanna views. AKL/CL is very nice. We are going back in Feb and can't wait! :goodvibes

(The different answers you are seeing are likely from dated information, or dated information that has been copied and reposted recently. I gave you the current answer.)

Does anyone know what kind of oatmeal is in the lounges? Or how it is prepared? My Mom absolutely fell in LOVE with the oatmeal at the WL CL last week and she would love to be able to replicate it at home. THANKS everyone! :)

They have oatmeal like that at dd college.(she can't understand why mine is not like CL if her school can do it:lmao:)

She asked them and they said cooked in milk slowly overnight.

Good luck. I prefer to head to disney CL and just eat it there:cloud9:

When we stayed at the Atrium Club, the CM told us they use Steel Cut Oats. Quaker sells them.:)

I tried them and it was aweful. I cooked them for 45 minutes stovetop with milk. I was hoping that would work. If anyone else gets it right PM me. DD still mad I can't make it right.:rolleyes1

I just remembered that dd says I should try a rice cooker and that would work. If anyone has one and tries it let me know.

I have steel-cut oats and a rice cooker. I'll give it a whirl and let you know how it worked out. I agree, the oatmeal I've had CL is the best!

There is a recipe for steel cut oats in the slow-cooker.. but America's Test Kitchen/Cooks country also has a delicious recipe for steel cut oats...

Slow Cooker:
Ingredients
1 cup steel cut oats
1 cup dried cranberries
1 cup dried figs
4 cups water
1/2 cup half-and-half
Directions
In a slow cooker, combine all ingredients and set to low heat. Cover and let cook for 8 to 9 hours.

Stir and remove to serving bowls. This method works best if started before you go to bed. This way your oatmeal will be finished by morning.

Recipe courtesy Alton Brown

10 Minute Steel-Cut Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

3 cups water
1 cup steel-cut oats
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup whole milk (or nut milk)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 apple, grated
2 tablespoon dark brown sugar
chopped mixed raw nuts and maple syrup for topping
1. The night before, bring 3 cups water to boil in large saucepan over high heat. Remove pan from heat; stir in oats and salt. Cover pan and let stand overnight.

2. In the morning, stir milk, cinnamon, apple, and brown sugar into oats and bring to boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium and cook, stirring occasionally, until oats are softened but still retain some chew and mixture thickens and resembles warm pudding, 4 to 6 minutes.
3. Remove pan from heat and let stand for 5 minutes. Stir and serve, passing desired toppings separately (I like chopped mixed raw nuts and maple syrup).

PS We buy the steel cut oats that are in a white can with black writing - Irish Oats

Wondering if anyone can tell me what the Beach Club 5th floor club level rooms have for a balcony? Do they all have balconies - or are some of them juliettes?

We are booked in a deluxe room, but are thinking of switching to a standard view - if we're more likely to get a full balcony that way.

Can we still get the plastic keys for our room or is it only Magic Bands now? We are staying CL at WL and my son wants a gold card in the worst way. TIA!

I switched from a Savanna view room at AKL to a club level room a few days ago. How long does it normally take to get an email from them? Or will I need to initiate contact? Thank you! :)
