EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

Wilderness Lodge, CL totally worth it for me today! Today is our 180+ booking day, I go online, nothing would book... um ok, so I call and I got in a loop after a 5 min wait the call ended! Seriously frustrating - as I wanted to do Dining with an Imagineer for DH's birthday, and since they only take 12 people 3 times a week, I was a bit stressed... I pulled up my WL email and there was a phone number I called - and tada - they were able to book all my reservations! I thought I was going to cry! :cool1:

I'm so happy for you!!! That's VERY good news!!!

I just posted WL CL pics on my live trip report! :) More coming over the next several days. :)

Our flight numbers/times have changed for our upcoming February trip. We're staying WL CL. Can I send an email to IPO to have them update this information for Magical Express? Trying to avoid a phone call if possible! Thanks!

They should. I have had problems with my returns lately. I have requested at the resort and with cr and gf texting service of IPO. Both areas were able to call and get or reschedule my times.

FYI my MB's would n't ship in November and I asked for help and they were able to get them shipped a week prior to my trip.

Hello!!!

I have a question: what to expect when you book CL at GF? (I got Standard Outer building CL)

In november, we were surprised with a CL upgrade at the Yacht Club and have received:

1) champagne glasses on arrival

2) received a welcome gift in the room + a couple of coca-cola

3) fresh flowers in the room

4) access to the CL lounge (with food, drinks or alcohol on request)

5) Turndown service

Should we expect the same? Less? More?

I've received answers about the IPO job on the GF thread but not the question above (1-2-3-4-5).

Also we are not coming to the GF with Magical Express but in a cab (or a shuttle, we'll see). It's going to be for our last night in Orlando (after the cruise we have 2 free nights somewhere else but I wanted the trip to end with Disney). We want to check-in as early as possible (Between 7 and 8 am).

DH doesn't know yet. He thinks we're going to Art of Animation. Although he fell in love with CL at YC and was very impressed by GF luxury when we visited for the gingerbread house, he thinks we cannot afford this (but I've been working my a** off and been saving every penny to pay back my credit card and it's going well so far.)

We are celebrating our birthdays a few days prior to our stay so it's my birthday gift.

So excited!!!

I've only stayed in the main building CL but I'll answer anyway :)

1) I've never received champagne when I arrive. They take you to your room and see that you like your room.

2) No cokes (although you can cokes in the lounge) but you will receive a welcome gift. The times I've stayed there it was a piece of white chocolate on a stick shaped like a teapot or something like that. lol. I can't remember exactly.

3) No fresh flowers.

4) You'll have access to the outer CL. The outer CL lounge is in the lobby of that building. The food in the lounge is SOOOOO good. I love the afternoon tea with warm scones, butter jam, trifle, jam tarts, banana bread. :)

5) Yes you're receive turndown service.

I've never arrived that early so I don't know if your room would be ready that early but I would email IPO and let them know what time you'll be arriving.

I can only speak for the main building's CL but I absolutely LOVE the CL and it's my favorite CL of all of the resorts. The GF is so beautiful and I know you're going to love it there. :)

We've stayed at the main building GF club level. We were able to check in by 10 am (it wasn't a busy time of year). The room included a chocolate treat but no other arrival "gifts". (The gift was a perfect castle view just above the boat basin - and that was perfect.)

Thank you. Now I know what to expect. I know GF CL has an extra service (tea) that YC did not have and they have champagne at dinner.

Edit: I must admit that the SL building is appealing to me because it's "private/locked". I think my husband would like it too. Probably more than the main building. I've seen a video of the Main Building CL and I really like SL more.

Hello,

We are planning on going to Disney in April and I'm hoping to stay Club Level at either Yacht Club or Beach Club but can not decide which one. Last April we stayed Club Level at The Yacht Club and loved it. I was thinking of maybe trying club level at the Beach Club but I'm worried about construction that is going on at the Beach Club. Does anyone know if it will be completed by April? Will there be any construction at the Yacht Club in April?

I'm hoping someone can help me make a decision. Yacht Club or Beach Club CL. If I book at Beach Club CL does anyone have a suggestion on what room request to add to our reservation? We are a family of 5.

Thanks!

Club level renovations are completed at the BC. Other floors are still being worked on, but may be finished by your dates? I wouldn't worry about it. Stormalong Bay is undergoing renos right now, but only a section at a time and the end nearest the BC is the first to be done, so you should be OK.

We are staying at the Beach Club CL for the first time this March. This is our third trip but first one at CL. We haven't been back to the world for 5 years so are super excited! What should we expect? Do you usually add in a dining plan as well or just go oop? How is the food/beverages in the lounge? We are a party of five and booked a deluxe room to have a little more space. Are there any requests I should make?

TIA for all advice!

Susan

we just returned from our first stay at the beach club, club level. I think that the dining plan would be too much. We started each day with a nice continental breakfast that was enough to last until lunch. Oatmeal, grits, cereal, hard boiled eggs, pastries (the choc chip croissant was to die for) juice milk and many coffee varieties. All day were cookies and candies but we weren't around for that. At 2 were homemade chips and red pepper dip. At 5 were 2 hot dishes various cheeses, hummus, dip, breads plus pb&j, veggies and dip, antipasto salad plus marinated veggies, and amazing Carmel dip with apple slices. Plus beer and wine. At 8 they brought out coridials and desserts. Soda, water, ice tea, lemonade were available all day.

When DH and I stayed CL at the YC, we cancelled all our restaurant reservations and we were perfectly satisfied with the food offered at the CL.

I would say it depends if you are big eaters.

You get more than enough food for breakfast and dinner (especially with the desserts at 8:00 PM)... Offerings at lunch can be a little light, though. I suggest you keep the money (or buy a gift card) for the little extras you might need and you should be fine.

When we book CL we don't do the dining plan.
Overall, we enjoy the lounge snacks. Some days we book a late lunch, and then and then snack in the lounge in the evening. Other times we will enjoy some appetizers, and then go to a dinner reservation. We will share an app or two, a couple of salads or veg. We often don't want an entire big meal, so it's nice to be able to choose small plate type of things.
It's kind of the best of both worlds. :goodvibes

We go OOP for dining regardless. We find that the breakfast offerings are fine, we purchase a nice lunch then may or may not go back to the hotel for appetizers before going out for a light dinner.

It isn't always convenient to always be returning to the hotel for food, so we mainly just take advantage of breakfast and some evening desserts. the $5 - $10 for appetizers isn't worth interrupting my plans over, IMO.

It is also nice to have the lounge to go and sit down with an adult beverage before retiring however.

I'm not sure if all rooms have balconies, so you might want to request a full balcony, if that is important to you.

Thanks for your help. I received a PIN code and when I called today to book unfortunately for my dates in April the only rooms left with availability with my PIN code were garden view non club level at Yacht Club so I booked that for now. I checked both beach club and yacht club and that's all that was available. I'll keep checking back and hope something opens up on Club Level.

Just returned from our first club level stay (AKL/GF) and it was glorious! We loved it so much that we booked a bounceback for Sept, this time at CR Club Level! I loved that jungle juice in the AKL lounge (I am craving it now!!) and the texting function they were testing for the GF concierge guests was very cool and helpful! I can't wait to be back!!
