EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

I switched from a Savanna view room at AKL to a club level room a few days ago. How long does it normally take to get an email from them? Or will I need to initiate contact? Thank you! :)

Congrats on booking AKL/CL! :cool1:

If I don't hear from them after a few days, I usually contact them. The information is in post #2 of this thread.
I include my reservation # and last name in the subject line of the email.
AKL/CL IPO folks are very nice and helpful, either by phone or email.

Can we still get the plastic keys for our room or is it only Magic Bands now? We are staying CL at WL and my son wants a gold card in the worst way. TIA!

My last "golden" card was Jan 2014 at gf.

I know I have gotten generic ones since. In Nov 2014 for example, our mb would not work on door to access Hawaii at poly until our room was ready.

My mb worked fine for elevator at cr and gf over the summer so a card not needed.

Our May 2014 I think we got that generic card at poly for Hawaii door then too.

I did not notice anyone using the golden card at any of those trips. I am trying WL CL in 2weeks so I will ask them about it.

I got a golden card at GF last February..but they looked at me funny. It only said my name .. No other information

Yes you can still use the cards if you wish, I am unable to use the magic bands for my upcoming trip (medical equipment reasons) and it has been confirmed I can use the cards. However, I believe it's just a case of what cards they have in stock - if they've a gold card you'll get a gold card, otherwise it will be the normal cards.

Regular blue plastic key cards at the WL CL last week. Haven't seen gold anywhere.

I'm officially ticker-less!!!!! Shocking I know. After six trips in 2014 I'm not sure I can top it this year. :lmao: I'm starting to feel a bit jaded, I think the only resort I haven't stayed at yet are the villas at GF. I'm thinking my next stay might be a splurge for RPC. I haven't stayed there in almost 20 years. Maybe a nice present to myself. Honeymoon room for one please! pixiedust: :rotfl:

With the poly dvc opening you'll have a new item on your bucket list:worship:

I am short SS, AoA BWI and BC. I do have VGf though. I don't think I'll bother with Aoa or SS but I do want BWi. I don't know if BC needed if we tried YC and we're just ok with it.

We love monorail resorts since we run back and forth from there all day.

So hoping to snag a res for a bungalow!!!

Wondering if anyone can tell me what the Beach Club 5th floor club level rooms have for a balcony? Do they all have balconies - or are some of them juliettes?

We are booked in a deluxe room, but are thinking of switching to a standard view - if we're more likely to get a full balcony that way.

I am also very interested in this answer. We are booked right now at YC CL for April 2015. We stayed their last year (and loved it) and the balconies at the YC are full. I just wondering if you are CL at BC are you guaranteed a full balcony? We enjoy sitting outside on our balconies after the kids go to bed.

Also is the food that is offered in the lounges at BC and YC the exact same?

We had a balcony at bc cl but there are rooms that do not. If I recall offerings are similar but not the same.

I just booked a club room at AKL for 5 nights in April! It's our 20th wedding anniversary and my oldest DD high school graduation. This is my dream vacation. I'm so excited!!!

I'd like to do something special for my hubby and daughter. Any suggestions??

Hi I am debating doing my own dining or letting the GF concierge do them. Can anyone share their experience with the Gf cl? Thanks:)

Yes, you can:). KTTW Cards will always be available to guests who request them. They can be used for everything a MB can be used for since they both contain (short range) RF capabilities. The only difference is that the MB has a long range RF chip embedded in it and the KTTW card does not.

As of June, the yellow KTTW cards were still available at both YC and WL CLs. We asked for and received them, but be prepared for some CMs to give you a hard time. WL is pretty used to us always asking for them so you should be fine there. We were told that they were being phased out (the color, not the KTTW card). If your son wants one, just ask at check-in. The Old Faithful Club may not have the CL cards stocked though and you may have to go downstairs to have one made at the front desk. They have more KTTW cards stocked than do the CLs, but I'm not sure they still have the CL cards stocked.

Which monorail CL rooms are the largest? Or are they all fairly similar? Thanks!!
Standard Club Level rooms are the same size as non-CL rooms. Only CLs with suites and Deluxe rooms have a larger CL room option.

Apx. square footage of Standard CL rooms on the monorail:

CR: Atrium Club rooms are 440 SF. Tower Club Standard rooms are a bit larger.

POLY: Hawaii longhouse rooms are 410 SF and only 3rd floor rooms have a balcony.

GF: Club Standard rooms are 440 SF.

Are your fastpass reservations & tickets linked to the card like on a MB?

I'm not Clare, but everything that is in your MDX account is "linked" to both MBs and KTTW cards, as long as the CM has activated either the KTTW card or MB or both. We have used both MBs and KTTW cards every visit since MBs were available. You can use the KTTW card for everything that you would use the MB, including APs, Photopass, room and common door access, charging, etc… as long as it's in your MDX account. TiW (Tables in Wonderland), however, can't yet be put into your MDX account, so you must provide your TiW card when dining. They hope to someday link the TiW to MDX accounts.

Depending on what you are looking to spend - private fireworks cruises are available and they will decorate the boat for your celebration. For a less expensive but still exclusive fireworks view, the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party is amazing. You could also have a custom cake (or 2!) done and delivered pretty much anywhere on property. Search for the "Cake Chatter" thread to get an idea of designs and pricing. Also, in-room celebrations are available for any occasion from Disney Floral & Gifts. Make sure you note both celebrations on all your reservations, as you never know what extra pixie dust may appear. :) And don't forget to get your anniversary buttons when you check in! DH were there on our anniversary last October and got so many well wishes from cast members and other visitors alike while wearing our buttons! Congratulations and I hope you have a truly magical trip!!

Great! Good luck!

I'll have to try the recipe Sandy321 posted. Mine were okay, but just okay. The rice cooker I own has a setting for porridge and I used that. The texture was close. But I didn't have the slivered almonds to toss in the bowl and I wasn't on vacation. I'm thinking that's half the battle right there.

Maybe that's it! I often feel like a short order cook at home.

Can't wait to try WL CL and their oatmeal! Oh and the cobbler:worship:
