*EXPIRED* J.Crew wedge flip-flops $5.25

grrr. I just checked my order status, and it says that both of my items are cancelled. I'm on hold with CS right now. I am sooo not a happy camper. OK - according to the CS "Manager" - they were just advised TODAY that they will NOT be getting in another shipment of this product. So, they are "in the process of sending out emails". Why sell something that you're not going to have in stock/ or re-order?! I was pleased with the fact that they were going to stand behind their price mistake, but this just irkes me. Oh well... like I said before, both my sister and I are flip-flop junkies, and we will NOT be purchasing them from JCREW. Or anything else for that matter. :mad:

I just checked mine after I read this, and it says mine is cancelled as well. :sad1:
 
Mine were also cancelled. Whenever there is a deal like this, I pretty much know I'm taking a gamble on whether it will go through or not. Yes, it would have been nice to receive them, but it's not the end of the world. At least some people got their flip-flops from this deal. Thanks for letting us know about it though OP. :)
 
I just checked my order status and it says cancelled. I know it is a chance you take when you order a misprint, but it should of cancelled immediately and not a week later.

Someone on slickdeals said this sale is JCrew getting rid of their 07 stock and she assumed that all the waitlisted orders would be canceled.

Just requoting what I had written in a previous post, I guess this person knew what she was talking about...unfortunately.

DD's were canceled, I was kind of half expecting it anyway but I'm glad I got mine and at least a few people on here were able to get in on the deal. I just wish their order system wasn't so misleading by giving a very specific backorder date but I have to at least give them credit for honoring their price mistake on those orders that did ship (I know, easy for me to say since I received mine:blush:).

One pair of mine was cancelled, and I sent an email to Customer Service to ask for a replacement. Believe it or not, they said they'd send a similar style for the same sale price!!! Give it a shot--it never hurts to ask.

The email works!! They replaced DD's, I think what they're offering is the 08 style which has less of a heel. Yes, they probably should have substituted without us having to contact them but I've come across a number of these bargains and I'm so impressed that JCrew is honoring the price mistake AND they're offering a substitute if you contact them.

The only thing is they're charging me $6.48 for the second pair instead of $4.41. Not sure why that is but I really don't care...$6.48 shipped for their 08 flip-flops is a great price!!

I won't post this "tip" on slickdeals until I've given my DIS pals a day to contact JCrew. What's the slickdeal folks hear about this tip and JCrew gets flooded with emails and phone calls they'll probably put an end to the subsitute.;)
 
Amending my earlier post-I am on the phone with them now and the operator has said she will put them back on the waitlist.
She also said they will honour the original sale price as it was their mistake.

WOW - those who are getting replacements, good going! They offered me a free shipping on another order. :rotfl2: Free shipping, give me a break. Here is the reply I got, so whoever was told they put them back on waitlist - I don't think it will do much good.

Here is the response I got from them when I sent an email this morning.

I just called too and got nowhere. I know I shouldn't be irked but if they have an item, they put a price and an inventory count on it. When it sells out, it sells out.

This was the email I received this morning after emailing them last night but it looks like they put a stop to that pretty quickly (a supervisor probably got involved). It was signed by Lacey so maybe it all depends on who you get when you contact them.
