Expedition Everest - Ground Breaking

Does anyone know when the ground breaking for Expedition Everest took place? Just wondering how long it took Disney to build an attraction like this from the ground up.

I can't find an offical "ground breaking date" but the ride was announced at the Press event April 22, 2003. From photos that I have seen on another web site the ground breaking seems to have been sometime about June/July 2003. The pieces of the track itself made it to the onside location sometime in early February 2004.
