With the Fall season here, it makes me think of apples, corn, and pumpkins....along with other things. So, tell us your favorite ways to use apples, corn, and pumpkins in decorating, baking, ways to eat them, cook with them......

We make applesauce, apple pies, caramel apples and whatever else we can think of with apples if we get bushels from my mom's friend! It's great when they have a bumper crop- then we get super cheap, fresh apples
Pumpkins- we carve those bad boys!

Yes- I mean geez..... I did dress up as a cow with my son for Chick-fil-a I just didn't have a proper scallywag outfit to don to get some free donuts...

QOTD 9/22: Since my son has a t-ball game in the am, here's a sports question: Did you play any sports as a kid? If so, what?

I played softball for years! Started with tball and kept playing until about 9th grade- when I started playing tennis more. Now, I'm a tball coach for a peanut league of 3 & 4 year olds.

I bowled..............for many years. That's about it.

Sports?! i don't even like being outside. But then when you are allergic to most tress, grass, hay and the like, being outside isn't all that.

Usually, I'm always early. Today, I just forgot. For appointments and stuff, I'm almost always early. A teacher once told me, "if you're early, you're on time and if you're on time, you're late." It has stuck with me

We have always gone as a family to a bunch of fall activities, but my favorites are the Washington farms pumpkin patch with corn maze, hay ride and petting zoo and going for hikes in the mountains.

We're going to go apple picking soon, and then in a week or two, we'll go to a pumpkin patch, and get pumpkins and do the hay rides and corn maze.

I also love baking with pumpkin. Just made some pumpkin cookies. Yum!

I remember going to chuck e cheese when I was like 4 or 5 and I got the cabbage patch kid I really, really wanted. It was awesome

Favorite birthday present.... was probably my beanie babies when I turned 7. I always wanted them but could never get because they were expensive.

QOTD 9/26: My son turns 4 today!!! So, what was the best party you ever threw or attended? It doesn't have to be a birthday party- just a party.

Best party I ever went to was my dad's 40th birthday. We had lots of family in town and all his work friends came- it was special because we didn't know how many more birthdays he would have. He died a few years later from cancer- but that was still the most special party I ever went to. I remember my dad's smile at that party and it's one of my fav memories of him!
