Are you a fan of yogurt? If so what flavors do you like? Or do you maybe prefer parfaits?

How do you usually celebrate your birthday, and your kids birthdays? Are you planning anything special for anyones birthday this year?

Since Joe and I are just about 24 hours apart in age and our birthday is during the State Fair, we generally go there for our birthdays.

We're taking Carol out to dinner for her 21st birthday in a couple of weeks.

That's about it.

My birthday is this month actually. We don't really celebrate it. DH will probably ask me a couple days beforehand if I want anything. I'm thinking new tennis shoes this year. ;)
DD19 has a birthday in March and we will probably mail her a gift card or check.
DH turns 50 in June and I'm presently planning a surprise party for him at his favorite restaurant. I hope I can pull it off!
DD16 and DD22 both have birthdays in July, and there will just probably gift cards given.

My friends and I like to do something special for our birthdays. Sometimes we take it in our own hands to do something or a friend will get everything together. Last year I rented a limo for 18people and just rode around for 3 hours. It was so much fun!
Within my family we just make a birthday cake that the birthday person requests and exchange gifts.

My daughter's birthday is not till September, and she is already coming up with ideas. And my son keeps asking when his birthday is, and if it is coming up soon.

As for us adults, nothing special. We concentrate more on the kids.

Tonight for the first time, my son broke out in hives. He is doing much better, but we are keeping a close eye on him. So todays QOTD is-

Are you allergic to anything? And if so, how do you treat it?

Sorry about your son! I'm allergic to cantalope & honeydew - I just don't eat them. :sad2: DD gets hives about once a year from a rare form of strep. :headache: She gets put on a massive dose of Benedryl and some antibiotic by the doctor.

Coming from a family full of allergies, and the only one safe is my DS8 this is my advice. First off I've got really severe allergies to a point where I had to go on the Paleo lifestyle in order to finally feel good. For the first time in a l o n g time I'm finally feeling great, and losing weight as a result. My first piece of advice is to have him see an allergist to see if he's got any allergies. With my DS7 even going out in the grass for less than 5 mins is enough for him to break out in huge hives. So there is a possibility that it could be simple as the pollens in the grass or other pollinating plants that could have caused it. Or an unknown allergy. Watch him when he's eating certain food to see if there's anything that could be triggering it. The hives my DS7 get's are monsters, and during the summer months I have to give him antihistamines, otherwise he's stuck indoors. Hope that this helps you out. There's one more thing I'd like to add. If you give him an antihistamine when he breaks out in hives and it clears up within 30 mins (sometimes much less time), then you know for certain that it's allergy driven. There are Calamine lotions with an antihistamine in them to help with the itchiness of the hives. They can be found at most pharmacies.

I have seasonal allergies, the worst of which is ragweed. I take Zyrtec everyday because my allergies cause vertigo sometimes. I never know when it's going to hit. I've been vertigo free for over a year now, knock on wood.

I hope that's it's something simple for Brandon. My sister had allergies as a kid and had to take the shots. The shots worked for a number of years but as an adult, she's found that a lot of her allergies have returned.

B was much better in the middle of the night, and it did not occur again. Thank you Susan. :goodvibes

Many companies have logos that are easily identifiable. What are the top three logos that you would have no problem identifying?

Mines would be-
McDonalds
Toyota
Honda

McDonalds would be one for me, as would John Deere. I get Toyota and Honda mixed up with Hyundai and I think it's Saturn. I can't think of a third one off hand.

Patsy,
I hope your son is feeling better.
