Are you looking forward to this year ending, and a new year beginning?
I always look forward to the year ending and a new year beginning once Christmas is over. The week between Christmas and New Years always seems so long.

yes and no.. Yes because you never know what the new year will hold.. but no because time is going so fast!
Time does pass by fast, too fast the older I get.

Yes and no. Wish the year was not yet over, but looking forward to some things that next year will bring.

Before Christmas even was here, I had seen Valentines items on the shelves. Has anyone else seen them in stores in your area? :lovestruc

Yes! DD and I saw Valentine candy two days before Christmas on an end cap. I was shocked. I don't know why, they put our Christmas items at Halloween time...

How many different egg preperations do you have? Ex.scrambled, egg fu yung, omelettes....
Scrambled, fried, microwaved, breakfast burritos, omelettes, hard boiled.

I saw my first Valentine display yesterday at Krogers. They had really cute arrangments made to look like a flower arrangement except in place of flowers there were very large Hershey chocolate bars. They had pink and red tissue paper and cellophane wrapped around it and interspersed between the chocolate bars. The bars were attached to sticks but you couldn't see them for the tissue paper and cellophane. Very eye catching but way too much chocolate for me. There were probably six bars to an arrangement.

What will you be doing when the clock stricks midnight?

Staying home :goodvibes. I dont want to be on the roads, so we'll see if anyone comes here. I told Jake we could play games. Oldest DS16 is annoyed that I wont take him to his GFs house at 9.

Im making gingerbread syrup so I can make martinis.

Not sure what we will be doing this year. It will be more of a quiet New Years Eve since it will only be our family this year. Will pop firecrackers, eat, and watch t.v. Will see if the kids will be up during midnight.

We were invited to our friend's house, but will not be joining them.

No kisses at midnight for me. Joe worked all day and was tired so we left the bonfire about 11:00 pm. He was asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.

We'll eat blackeyed peas for good luck today. We may head down to the deer lease to load the feeders if Joe can find some corn.

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year Susan!!!

We will be eatting our traditional mochi-(pounded sweet rice) soup this morning. I usually do not eat it, or just drink the soup. But this year, I told my kids to try it so I will as well. And we will be eatting soba-(buckwheat noodles) which is for longevity. Other than that, it is a regular day, but with alot of cleaning to do in the house, and around the house. We need to pick up the firecrackers from last night.
