I would make scrambled eggs or breakfast burritos. Lasagne and put it in the freezer for the ground beef. I think that would freeze a good amount of the cheese (I think that you could do that). As far as the milk, I'd drink what I could.
Things will be different again this year for us. DH works during the day, my mom comes home from her trip so will pick her up from the airport that evening, so that means we will not have relatives over to play firecrackers. There will be a parade, that I am planning on taking the kids to, but it depends on our health. I have a cold, DD has not been feeling too well...and because we were so on the go for the past three weeks, we may need to just stay at home. But we will see. If I am up for it, I may take them to see the fireworks show.
My cold is not helping me, so I think we will just go to the parade, and after coming home from the airport, we will play some firecrackers. I will either buy or pick up a special dessert.
Have you ever tried Indian food? How about naan bread? I am going to have my husband purchase the bread. My sister said that they had made pizzas on the grill using them, so will try that. Personally, I have never tried Indian food before, but there is an Indian restaurant that opened here this year.
DH loves it (he goes to India fairly often) and we can get the bread here at a lot of the grocery stores. And we have eaten at Saana at AK.
I am not a fan of curry, so I don't like most of it.
I am going to try tandoori next time though to see how it is.
The bread is really good.
Paneer cheese is really good.
We can also buy packaged foods at Trader Joe's. I have that on hand at both houses for DH if he needs something fast.
