thank you for offering your insights.
i have many questions about day to day operations. but
before asking a stranger, would like some additional background
info. , if i may?
why? bother offering your experiences if you are now retired?
why? this site?..&/or...are you posting on others?
did you ever have any assignments monitoring these boards?
and of so? did any of your reports lead to any "official actions"?
ps, did you "catch" the person seeking dvc other than rci & the
other poster adding how dvc values is lower? & if you did,
then the implications should be alarming to changes that
are currently being missed. ( i know dvc would suggest
accidentally missed but i think on "purpose". )
do guides only see potential new members in the same light?
direct,direct/resales, tiny direct with large rci accounts,
and /or just plain rci owners?
fyi~ we ran into rough waters @ the beginning...so it was my
mission to "learn" what really going on behind the scenes...
sometimes here, sometimes face to face & with special
agendas...( where i gave "presentations" so i could measure/
compare the results for accuracy. )
for example, if you called & expressed my documented "concerns"-
....( often printed threads here).., for example--if someone
rented a rci revs., they would canceled. what i" learn"--it just
a std. response that "those" dvc cms are told to "tell"
dvc owners...last year...i added...if that was actual being
done..sooner or later..we would be hearing about it here.
not one time has it happened....& as a morality issue ,
this is lying even & passing the buck to the dvc cms.
fyi, we spent time in the beginning learning....about our
fellow /typical direct owners...it was shocking -to us, @
the lower level they were. ( lack of knowledge of a
lack of knowledge)- however, just because owners
do not understand what dvc is...does not mean it cannot
be learn.
as a direct owner only, i know we are the minority on this
site....though many are just posting elsewhere/avoiding
the dvc section because of the "clicks". however, it does not matter,
if you are just trying to get documentation. so is your primary
motivation is to help owners learn what they are buying? i
think if you took a poll , there are very few direct owners
that do not own other timeshares.
have you been reading here/dis prior...for how long? & if
so , why? don't guides reading here do not report when
you read wrong doings? ( ok~often they think they are
doing things on the "sly", but it is too easy to understand
when you compare their comments from thread to thread,
secondary to conflicts they are posting).
i guess this is a start....in trying to determine the level of questions
i can ask. i am not seeking no other "expert" comments.
..( from the beginning, i always claimed that a dvc owner
background of their ownership/s determine how they will
respond to any given topic. ) for example, when we had our
first guide, he was both a dvc owner & rci timeshares. some
of his "selling points" were actual against the rules but we
didn't recognized it til later . after learning more. i think
many are taken advantage of...because dvc does not
restrict these types of conflicts ( of interests )
from my face to face, there are some really nasty/lawyer
like, guides @ the ssr office. one thing i am glad i did,
write their names down from the beginning-- with notes.
to me, this is business, & therefore, i don't get take their
comments personally. overall, our dvc has been better
than expected but only because of learning it,
problem solving, and some very helpful dvc cms.
again, i am not challenging you, or trying to offend or
make you defensive. i seeking background info to "guide me"
the type of ?/s i can ask you. either way, your
efforts are appreciated.
ps, yes a pun. ha/ha..well , i am in the "people business" too,
& believe for any person to do their best, they have
the need for appreciation & find enjoyment in their chosen
field.
