It’s a movie on a big screen that contains clips from loads of classic movies. These clips all merge together to create a story, with the help of set recreations and a main actor.

So we went to ride Rock n Roller Coaster, twice! Yay.

so we spent some time in the Animation Building.
(Omg this trip to Disneyland was really getting in the way of my WDW-lost-attractions grieving process.)

So the CM gave me a long, thin piece of paper to do some animation drawings!
It did not turn out good.
My animation career ended as fast as it began.

Oh, no! What will you do now?
You'll be penniless and homeless!

I decided to go back to my old career.
(I look at pretty Disney things for a living.)

How does one get into this sort of career?
Do you have to go to school for it?

They still have the drawing class here in Disneyland Paris!
None of the fam were bothered about doing it though (THEY’RE CRAZY).

Well we did a big dramatic performance and got really into it.
But when we played the video clip with our voice recording, it had TOTALLY failed, and all that came out of Belle and Beast's mouths were Iago-style squawking noises...!

We headed over to Ratatouille of course, but it had broken down. BOO.
So we decided to go to Tower of Terror.

Just like last time, he came up behind me, and whispered in my ear,

My friends and I went up in the balloon in December 2013, it was great! We had a blast, although my legs wobbled a bit.

This is actually the original show. Disneyland Paris “gave” it to Walt Disney World as part of the Happiest Celebration on Earth festival.

It’s fun seeing it with people who don’t know the secrets about the cars.

And that was me on my solo trip in Feb.

I guess they have this RC attraction, kinda like those old Pirate Ship rides that swing you from side-to-side, but I’ve never found them very exciting.

Borrrring.

My Dad is pretty afraid of heights, so we were trying to convince him to go on this Green Army Man Parachute ride.
Because we are cruel, cruel children.

But as we were standing there deliberating, the ride broke down! Everyone was just hanging there for ages, what a nightmare!

Whoa. Can you imagin if he'd been on it at the time?
Can you say "Removed from the will."

Nailed it… Again!

What a roller coaster of emotions.

I really like this attraction, the details on the miniatures are really good.

So much detail!

Unlike the Disneyland (California) Canal Boats, there’s no CM guide to talk you through everyhing. In DLP, it’s just a nice quiet, relaxing boat ride

And I like that too. I want to look around and discover little details on my own.

Like this miniature of an obviously drunken Belle about to fall backwards into the fountain.

James and I sat in the very back, which actually faces backwards, and it was quite intense!!!
We didn’t feel very secure with the lap-bar, and it took some pretty abrupt turns that we couldn’t anticipate, which made it a fun ride!

(Notice the joystick and my strategic camera angle to make it seem like I won by a lot more than I actually did… )

JAMES YOU SUCK.

Only 3900 points? Man I thought I was bad. James you do suck!

Afterwards we used our daily hotel fastpasses at Big Thunder! Of course.

(They said they saw a rat in Adventureland eating some old pizza on the ground! EW!)

I loved that they make just as much of a fuss over a table of four adults as they do with all the kids.

That's nice.
Sometimes I think the adults are more excited than the kiddos.

The characters came around super fast, it felt like there was one at our table every five minutes.

He messed up Hannah’s hair AND James’ hair!

I'm sure Hannah loved that!

He asked me to kiss his nose and made this adorable face

I started off small, with some pasta salad and crayfish/crawfish (I've no idea what the difference is )

I power-walked back and told Tigger I was sorry, and that obviously he was much more important to me than food!
He loved this, and pulled me in for a big bouncy hug!

And of course, he was up to his usual mischief.

OMG, Mickey was besides himself with anxiety!!!!!

The thought of breaking James’ phone almost gave him a heart attack, he “apologised” and fussed over James, then he had to take a moment to lean on a nearby pillar and mop his brow while he composed himself!!
It was too funny.

That is pretty good.
I wonder what would've happened if he had broken the phone?
It must happen from time to time that things get broken.

You sure look happy!

I was sad that Dale had to leave us, but I couldn’t be sad for too long, because Eeyore was right on his tail! (I’m so punny.)

He then pointed at his nose, so I gave him a kiss, and I think that made him feel a bit happier

Who wouldn't be happier after getting a kiss on the nose from Katie???

James also got up to give him a proper hug, because he just looks so sad!!!

Awww...

But loose children are a bit of a problem.
Occasionally we’d see a child run up to a table and try to get the character’s attention.

What? Loose kids in a restaurant. Not a brilliant move.

But some actually had parents nearby encouraging the kid to keep prodding Mickey until he gives you attention.
It is truly bizarre.

I don’t know why you would interrupt someone else’s character time like that?

But don't you know they paid a lot of money to be there?

The characters are great about it though, they ignore the kid for a couple of minutes, but if they’re persistent they’ll turn around and give the child the finger.

So to be honest, the last day blues weren’t too bad today.

I would think not!

This kills me. Before you had a whole pot of ketchup. Now, you only get a small dollop on a sausage.

After breakfast we went to the lobby to check out.

There's a grand-looking postbox in the lobby, which was handy.

I like that!

We went to Buzz first of course!

We rode for what I thought was the last time, so afterwards I decided to tell everyone about the different shaped targets, and which shapes are worth more points.
Well, of course they wanted to ride again to try it out, and of course I got annihilated

Well that was a lesson learned.

immediately regretted sharing my knowledge, WHEN WILL I EVER LEARN???
NEVER TELL ANYONE THE BUZZ SECRETS.

Every time I see a picture of that sub, I whimper a little bit.

We walked straight up to the loading gates, and this was the view of the line behind me.

When we got off we went to see our photo, and we were cracking up, because although we know where the camera is, and we were intentionally pulling faces, James and I had 100% NOT agreed to make the SAME face

We were making sure we got our favourite attractions done today, so I’m sure you can guess that we headed to Frontierland to ride Big Thunder Mountain next!

I should hope so!

Well, for the second time, we waltzed straight past everyone who had gathered in one line, and pretty much walked straight onto the ride again

I just read your previous trip report, and got caught up with this trip report in one day when I should have been studying for my final exams But it was completely worth it because I was able catch up on all of your adventures! I live fairly close to WDW and visit frequently, so I'm pretty that we were there at the same time in September! I'm following along, and I can't wait to hear about your next adventure! I'm here and just catching up! My husband and I went to Disneyland Paris for 2 nights in November 2013. His first time to europe, and we go to Disneyland!

Unfortunately, I was just finished with my first trimester of pregnancy, and when I think back on the whole visit, it sort of makes me feel pukey. I guess I need to go back and set it right (and not eat so many hot dogs with fake cheese and crispy onions. Addicting AND nauseating!). I actually took my facebook pregnancy announcement photo there!



I loved the park, especially the Phantom Manor, Disney Dreams (it was holiday themed when we went...frozen I think?), the parade, the BEER IN FRONT OF THE CASTLE (yesyesyesyes) and Alice's Maze. I hated the cigarette smoke/butts/burn marks on the trash cans and the food (but again, was super pregs... so... not normal. I also hated toast. Who hates toast?).

Looking forward to reading on! I head down in a matter of days!! CANT WAIT!

Also here you don’t drive past the costume building, which was my favourite part of DHS’s.

Yes! Getting to go through the costume building was always the best part! But then you stopped seeing people working as much and it was just so sad.

In keeping with the classic-Disney-movie-ride-through theme of this morning we rode Peter Pan again!
I love the loading area, it looks like the rooftops of London with smoking chimneys and everything.

Peter Pan is my favorite Disney movie. The scenes are just so pretty.

They only had kids sizes, but Dad got me one anyway, and luckily it fits
Plus it was cheaper than adult shirts!

The day I can no longer buy the kids version of a t-shirt in Disney clothing is going to be a sad day

Jamie was happy to see me, and was excited for our trip to Florida.

Oh my gosh I've done the same thing. 2 summers ago I was in Disney world and really wanted a Frozen shirt (during the biggest part of the craze) and they had adult shirts but they were so expensive! So I just got a bigger size in the kids shirt, and honestly it was prettier. The kids seem to have the funner shirts lol

Exactly! Some of the kids stuff is cuter, and all of it is cheaper!! I bought the Baymax t shirt from the kids section online, and I just ordereed an XL because I figured they'd be small. Well I'm pretty average sized (5'5") and it's actually too big for me! So I bet a lot of people can benefit from it and they don't even realise it. I think a couple of people didn't like the fact that I pointed out that I can wear kids sizes (maybe it sounded like I was showing off? Which to me makes zero sense because I've posted hundreds of photos of myself...so you all know what I look like already ) But whatever, I think it's a great tip that people should be aware of!!!!

I feel your pain about being sad leaving - but you were so lucky because you had another wonderful trip on the way! Your last day in DLP sounded fun, it seems as if you got some good park time in.

The only way I'm ever going to leave Disney without crying is if I'm going straight to another Disney park It made leaving easier for sure!

The Christmas version of the show is really nice, but I much prefer the original soundtrack. That's probably my only problem with DLP at Christmas, is that they play the Christmas version every night (as opposed to just party nights), so you don't get to see the original at all. Mehh, maybe I just like the original too much

Oh my gosh there are TOO many Sephoras in NY! Glad you are able to shop in them when in Paris!

I first discovered Sephora in Times Square, I spent FOREVER in there! You're so lucky to have so many! We have like Mac and everything, but it's pretty expensive, I just want good quality make-up that's cheap, why is that so difficult England?!??

Okay what is up with the beans?! Usually we have baked beans with like BBQ, but for breakfast?? I guess I can't knock it till I try it.

So many people are weirded out by the beans for breakfast! They're part of a traditional full English breakfast (baked beans, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, toast, egg, etc) It works, I promise!! I'm sure most of England/UK would agree, I'm not totally weird!!

OT - I ordered some MAC makeup for my SIL two nights ago online from Nordstrom and I was given the option to choose a few free samples, one of them being 'Jo Malone' perfume but I had never heard of it! Does is smell delicious?? I have to place another order here soon so perhaps i'll get that sample next time around.

YES!!! Jo Malone is so delicious. They have really weird sounding smells where you think "...ew" but they smell amazing!! Mine is Earl Grey and Cucumber And it's magical!! My mum wears Lime Basil & Mandarin which is also really really good. A couple of them smell like bathroom cleaner but if you have the option for either of these two I definitely recommend!

YES It's just outrageously sweet and chocolatey! Just imagine making a drink of hot chocolate but using like 5x the recommended amount of cocoa. It's just hilarious that it's been like this for so long and it hasn't occurred to anyone that it is vile It still makes me feel warm and fuzzy though

How cool! I've never been to WDW's Christmas party but I think they have him there, but doesn't he always have a huge line?! I liked that he was meeting outside at DLP so I didn't have to stand in line to catch a glimpse of him

Probably not always THIS busy since everyone was probably out buying Christmas gifts, but it is always fairly busy, it's totally worth it though, it's where all the best shops are, and once you get to the end of the street there's a huge Christmas market

This is literally my dream. In High School my room was adorned with Eiffel Towers everywhere (Still have some in places of our house now ) but I flipped when I realized we had the same Birthday - March 31st. I knew it was meant to be, so I'll get there one day!

LOVED your DLP trip report and thanks for including the Christmas photos! It doesn't look as crazy busy there as it gets during the holidays at WDW. I think the hotel you stayed at looks really nice - kind of like the Wilderness Lodge while the one you stayed at in Sept. looks like the Grand Floridian. Hmm... I'm planning my dream trip here... thanks for the inspiration! Can't wait to read about your WDW trip!!

Ok, confession time. I just read your previous trip report, and got caught up with this trip report in one day when I should have been studying for my final exams But it was completely worth it because I was able catch up on all of your adventures! I live fairly close to WDW and visit frequently, so I'm pretty that we were there at the same time in September! I'm following along, and I can't wait to hear about your next adventure! Congrats on your Masters too!!!

I'm here and just catching up! My husband and I went to Disneyland Paris for 2 nights in November 2013. His first time to europe, and we go to Disneyland!

Unfortunately, I was just finished with my first trimester of pregnancy, and when I think back on the whole visit, it sort of makes me feel pukey. I guess I need to go back and set it right (and not eat so many hot dogs with fake cheese and crispy onions. Addicting AND nauseating!). I actually took my facebook pregnancy announcement photo there!

I loved the park, especially the Phantom Manor, Disney Dreams (it was holiday themed when we went...frozen I think?), the parade, the BEER IN FRONT OF THE CASTLE (yesyesyesyes) and Alice's Maze. I hated the cigarette smoke/butts/burn marks on the trash cans and the food (but again, was super pregs... so... not normal. I also hated toast. Who hates toast?).

Looking forward to reading on! I head down in a matter of days!! CANT WAIT!

Hey thanks for reading! I love that you guys went to DLP when you went to Europe, Euro-trips are the best, especially when incorporating Disney But that kinda sucks that you remember it as "pukey" you should definitely go back and change those associations!

Omg, I LOVE the pregnancy announcement idea! I've not seen that one before. I love Disney announcements! I can already tell the kid is going to have an awesome upbringing with Disney-loving parents

I totally agree with everything you said you liked and disliked! (Apart from the toast... LOL ) The smoking around DLP is crazy, I think it's much more normalised over there and none of the locals are really that bothered. So when you're used to WDW being squeaky clean it's a bit of a shock! It bothers me the most when you're walking behind someone who is smoking and it all blows back in your face.

OH wow I've just looked at your PTR, you've just gone to Disney!!! I hope you have an amaaaazing time!!!!
