Every ride in a day

Good luck! We are doing 4 parks in one day on Dec 5, but not to ride every ride - just to finally see the parks during the holiday season! Again...GOOD LUCK!!!

These guys are already off to a better start than the ones who did it two weeks ago. That day (when we were also at DHS for AM EMH) TSMM had a delayed opening, forcing them to switch up their planned order for doing TSMM, RNRC, and TOT.

Just an update while we're waiting in line for Kilimanjaro Safaris - this will be our 11th ride and it's just before noon. We have finished toy story, rock n roller coaster, tower of terror, main street vehicles, Astro orbiter, aladdin, big thunder, Tom sawyer, wdw railroad, and kali river rapids. Riverboat was down when we were at MK earlier, but we are still scheduled to have time before it closes. There's been rain on and off all day, so we're focusing on the outdoor rides for a while and playing defense.

If you see us out at the parks, say hi as we run by!

Any idea how so I guess if you FP at MK and grab 4 and 5. And RD DHS but that still leaves Epcot with long waits at TT and Soarin and that's ignoring DAK completely. Hmm.

Test Track you can do single rider line!

It can't be done. Because of FP+ you can only do 3-4 rides in a day.

Good luck trying though.

I also find it hard to believe you can even get close to 48 but It isn't any where near as bad as only 3-4 a day.

Sounds like your doing OK except for a couple of minor hiccups with the riverboat, rain and hitting a long line at the safari. Although looking at Touringplans you've hit a run of good fortune with Primeval Whirl and Dinosaur. Here's hoping you're still on track to make your Soarin' FP+ (we don't know what time you made it for but I think we all know that's what it's for).

I'm following on twitter as well. I'm wondering about your park hopping transportation. Are you taking buses, taxis??

Just read they missed friendship boats ... do they always close that early ? Thus something overlooked .... or was this something unexpected ???

Turns out 47 is the best they can do now ...

Hey all,

Sorry for the late update - we didn't get back to the hotel til about 4am Saturday night and we took yesterday to just recover.

We set out to ride 48 rides - 46 that were undisputed, Sum of all Thrills (which most people agree would be considered a "ride"), and the Epcot Friendship boats (regarded by Disney as transportation, but we added it on since it was completely contained in a park). Because of various reasons, we ended up splitting up somewhat, so we don't have one unified number - One of us reached 47 (minus Friendship Boats), one reached 46 (minus FB and Splash) and one reached 45 (minus FB, Ellen, and Pirates). The Riverboat opened late in the morning due to technical difficulties, so we had to make a special trip back to MK to ride that, which made us too late at Epcot to make the FBs, which was lowest on our priority list.

We'll be doing a full write-up in the next couple of days and a video in the next couple weeks, but we wanted to make sure that DisBoards got an update and a quick recap.

- 47 rides in a single operating day, now the record for most amount of unique rides rode in a day.
- 6 park hops were needed (7 total legs - DHS -> MK -> DAK -> DHS -> MK -> Epcot -> MK) thanks to Riverboat having technical problems
- Had the Riverboat not gone down, we would have made the full 48
- FastPass was only used on one ride (Soarin')
- We were the first people on to TSM in the morning, which evidently gets you a FP to any ride in the park for the next several days. Those were used by other family members later in the weekend.
- Despite predictions for thunderstorms all evening and night, the weather turned out to be pretty nice - overcast most of the day with very little rain.

Thank you all so much for all of the support during this and for all of the comments on Twitter. I can't wait to get the video going, but I'll have to wait until I'm back in Arizona next week to start splicing all the clips together.

I was following you guys with my kids asking for updates too! Sounds like a VERY VERY long and busy day!!

That was impressive! I enjoyed following along on Twitter.. . My sister said "that doesn't sound like fun to me" and by the end of your day, I think I'd agree ;) I thought it was even more impressive with nearly no FP, but I suppose that would lock you down too much. . . Quite a quest!

Wow! I'm guessing to pull this off you have to be first at two different scanners and have no glitches and basically jog to TSMM?

We got there at 7:15 and we were 3rd and 4th in the line we were in. However, we purposefully got into a line at the end of the "open" row in case they opened more lanes. They did and we scooted over there so we were among the first into the park. And then, yes, we jogged to TSMM as much as we could. We did hear from a few cast members to walk and we did when we were told to do so.

We ended up taking personal vehicles for most of the legs, plus the monorail for a couple. We wanted to use buses if possible, but time constraints due to the Riverboat fiasco changed our plans. Taxis would have worked and actually would have saved us time, but we could afford the few extra seconds here and there to get out to the car. We had our dad driving us on those car transitions, which saved us some parking time over driving ourselves though.
