Ever get stuck in a ride?

Splash Mountain a couple years ago. We were stopped inside, just before the first drop in the dark. Sat there a while, and then we were finally escorted out one of the exits. Not too fun!

Never escorted out but we were left dangling or in the dark on people mover, Peter Pan and another I am forgetting last fall. No big deal we just laughed after the first time :

A few days ago, we were at Animal Kingdom and while riding Expedition Everest the ride completely stopped once we got to the end of the track. Yes, I know its supposed to stop, but this was for about 5-10 mins. I seemed like forever. All I could think about is another train coming and pushing us off the mountain!!

I have been stuck on many rides but the most memorable being stuck on Splash Mountain when you first go outside by the little drop. We were stuck there for 40 minutes and it started to sprinkle. I'm very surprised we weren't taken off but it finally started up!

This past February, me and my two kids got stuck on ToT. We had just finished the drops (I was surprised that it was about 5-6 drops!) and then it was total darkness. We sat there for a good 2 minutes until we heard a CM say that they will attend to us. Thank goodness everybody in the cart were calm. The lights then went on. Wow - talk about the magic disappearing. I saw a CM's lunchbox in a corner, and a wall calendar. Two tech guys had to come and push our cart to the side and we took a side exit. They let us ride it again, but my kids said NO! LOL

Not on a ride, but I got stuck on a ski lift once. We were left dangling about 75 feet off the ground for over 2 hours. Luckily it was summer (it was a four season resort, and we'd gone down to the lake and were riding the lift back up) so we weren't cold, but I was with my cousin who is very afraid of heights. It was a hard 2 hours for her!

Years ago I got stuck on IaSW for what seemed like hours. To this day, I won't even walk past the ride unless absolutely necessary. And if anyone is crazy enough to sing it in front of me, they are soon very, very sorry. ;)

My last trip, 2 weeks ago, We were on Stich's great escape where the lights go out...and lights were off for over five minutes with nothing happening...and kids screeching. That was not fun. It was pitch black and felt like a long time.

I was also stuck on Buzz..which was fine because I had a really high score...then once we went again, the scores erased.

We got stuck on California Screamin' at Disneyland. On my birthday a couple of years ago. The CMs had to come walk everyone off of the ride. At least we all got a free fastpass!

When I was very little we got caught twice on the Great Movie Ride, once at the Alien scene where the alien pops out of the ceiling (I cried) then again at the Fantasia part where it's a tornado of magic swirling around you. Being terrified of tornadoes, I haven't been able to keep my eyes open in that scene since.

On our very first trip with family friends, we were stuck at the bottom of the hill before the big drop on Splash Mountain. We were there so long that I started repeating right along with the vultures and my claustrophobic friend started to feel the mountain caving in on us. Felt like an hour but was probably only 20 minutes. This past trip with family we were stuck on PotC right under the bridge where the barefoot pirate is sitting. I kept muttering "Good morning, George" until it started back up again.

Not at Disney World, but on my very first trip to Disneyland we were also stuck twice. First was on Haunted Mansion where you go backward down into the graveyard for about a half hour. At least the song was there to keep me happy because the complete darkness to our right was freaking me out. Later we got stuck on the rapids at California Adventure on the first hill leading up to the water. Again another half hour and a CM even came out to say if it was another five minutes they would have escorted us off. At least our raft was in the shade of the lumber mill. We felt bad for the ones stuck out in the July sunlight.

Also not at Disney, but we got stuck on King Kong at Universal when I was 5 right at the part where the big ape comes to get you. Mom said I didn't want to go on anything the rest of the day. But ET cheered me up.

We got stuck on PotC once, right after where the redhead used to pop out of the barrel. After what seemed like forever the lights came up and the soundtrack stopped-but the animatronics kept moving, which freaked me right the heck out. A voice came over the loudspeaker and said that "a pirate" would be with us shortly. Sure enough, we got two pirates (one wearing large waders) and some guy in a safari outfit for some reason. The "pirate" in the waders jumped into the water and backed the boat up to the nearest exit, where we were escorted around the back of the ride and back into Adventureland. They didn't tell us not to take photos inside the ride of the rescue, so I snapped a couple:

It was actually sort of fun. :goodvibes

We (my sister and I) have been stuck on Haunted Mansion...right where the knocking was...that was annoying. Once at the end of TOT they had to walk us out under the cars...which was really cool. Once at Busch Gardens...we were half way up the first hill (we were in the last car...the first car was just about to go over the peak) and they made us climb out and walk down. It was a crappy day there cause everything we want to go on was broken down, so we haven't been back since.
I think it was cool to see TOT from a different angle.

One memorable time was getting stuck at the very top of the final drop for Splash Mountain. We had a good view of the park and kept hearing those vultures. I remember my sister and I were in the 2nd row and there was a kid - about 10-12 in the front by himself. He was both a bit nervous and excited so my sister and I spent the time talking to him and making light of it so he would be fine.

In Haunted Mansion we got stuck in the big dining room scene - at least there were lots of things to look at.

But the worst getting stuck was one year when we landed in Orlando Airport ready for our Disney vacation the jetway by the airplane got stuck and we had to wait what seemed like and eternity before we could get off the plane - now that got ugly.

Got stuck on the Maelstrom for 45 minutes once. As we boarded, I remember being annoyed that they crammed another two adults into the row with us - very uncomfortable for 4 adults across.

Then, our boat would not get through the gate that reverses you at the outside overlook. Why? Because we were overloaded. We sat there for over 30 minutes while various people with no knowledge came by and looked us. Then for 15 minutes some other guys poked and prodded our boat. I think they did not want to get us out for fear the gate would suddenly activate and release the boat. Finally, at least 45 minutes into this, some guy sat down and literally pushed the boat with both his feet and got it to move.

Since other people have brought up their "dark side" rides, DD and I had to be evacuated from Revenge of the Mummy in October. We hit a barrier wall pretty hard beforehand and then had to sit and wait for a long time in total darkness for someone to be able to get us off safely, where we had to walk across a pretty tiny 'bridge" over a pretty big drop. It was insane!

We were walked off Winnie the Pooh this past June.

We were laughing so hard because we were stuck at Tigger bouncing and he did not stop bouncing.

We received 4 fast passes for any ride any time. It was great to walk through the ride with the lights on.

A few days later we had breakfast at Crystal Palace, I complimented Tigger on his endurance because he never gave up bouncing!!

:)

We got stuck on the Ellen ride once. Right where you go into the part with the dinosaurs, and then they had to walk us all out. We got to stop and take pics in front of the dinosaurs though so that was cool

Never really been stuck on a ride, but I'd love to get stuck in the Haunted Mansion, and have the lights turned on, and have to walk out of there. I'm not sure why, but I just think that would be so cool.

At the top of Dudley do rights ripsaw falls at Universal - right at the top before the final big drop. An employee kept saying over the loud speaker to stay seated, etc. we were at the top for about 10-15 minutes. Then as our log is released, the same person who had given the announcements over the PA says I kid you not "Uh oh!" - just glad we didn't crash in to anything at the bottom!

Last year we got stuck on the TTA twice for about ten minute stretches both.

Finally, stuck in HM in the graveyard scene - almost missed our ADR at LTT as a result!

Me stuck no dh n dd while riding ee yes lol, I was standing waiting to take a pick when the ride stopped....after about 5 mins I took a pic of the mountain with the train stuck just in case it was them, well it was! Dd thought it was so cool n dh was happy cuz he found the sunglasses he lost on the ride!
