Ever get stuck in a ride?

Spaceship Earth 3 weeks ago. We had to walk out, but they gave us fastpasses to anything which was nice..

We were stuck in Peter Pan for nearly an hour one time. Don't you know our son wound up having to poop. He yelled really loud "I have to pooooooop, Mom!" My husband and daughter were in one of the boats behind us, so we just texted and played on the phones.

Stuck on rock roll roller coaster CM had to release us from the car and we had to walk down a series of steps. As he evacuated us he explained how the ride worked and showed us the magnets. We got a back lot tour it was interesting.

Me too! And then a few weeks later we got stuck and had to be escorted off EE. Both times er were asked put cameras, phones and any recording devices away. Each time we got a return fast pass good for a week.

Yes, seems like several times.

Our favorite was Peter Pan at Disneyland. Up in the air. It was pretty magical and didn't last more than 15 minutes.

Latest was Small World. Right at Mexico in front of the market. Talk about that song getting etched into your brain. It was the SNL skit, but real!

One time in Space Mountain was delayed for a long time during the Renaissance, and sometimes at the top of it with the Earth. Was delayed a long time on the Peoplemover last week and they turned the lights on (was during that one time where one light keeps going past). I'm sure other times too but that's what I can think of now. Never stuck with the ride breaking down though

Every single time we go on Splash Moutain. Brer Fox and Brer Bear sure like to have some fun when we're there...
We've been stopped on the Peoplemover and Haunted Mansion, and we've been through SM with the lights on, which wasn'r getting stuck, but it was still pretty cool!

Our 18 year old DD got stuck in Splash Mountain at the end near the steam boat. She was right in the middle of the water, so while they were unloading all of the other boats closer to the edges, they could not get her and a friend out. This was during extra magic hours, last ride of the night. We were back at VWL wondering where she was. Because of cell phone reception could not get thru to her. She managed one message saying she was stuck around 12:30 am, no communication after that. I was in full panic mode and finally drove over around 2 am. I went to the front entrance and spoke with a security guard. They radioed over and confirmed that there was an issue on the ride, and told me they would bus her and her friend back to the hotel. So, she ends up walking out of MK around 3 am, and I sit at the bus stop at the lodge waiting for her. And what does she get for her trouble? Four fast passes to one ride. Worse yet, she really wanted to turn around and take a picture of a totally empty Main Street, but they wouldn't let her!!

Back in January my dad and I were in line for Test Track in the single rider line. We some how got placed in the same car. In the room before you head outside, the ride stops and the lights go out . Thankfully it was only a minute or two.

Just curious, how long do you have to be "stuck" before they walk you out? Sounds like it would be a nightmare!

Went to Disney with my family when I was 16. We got stuck on It's a Small World for quite some time... the music got quite irritating after a bit, lol.

My friend was really stuck IN RnR! The ride finished, we all got off and my friends still sitting there. Her harness wouldn't go up! It was funny to us, the CM told her it had never happened before and she would have to pray to the rock Gods lol.

This happened to me once! Except my CM just kept pantomiming lifting the harness off and eventually started yelling (more like forcefully saying with annoyance) to me to just push it up myself instead of letting it go up on its own. ...As if I hadn't ever thought to do that. I can't remember what eventually had to happen to get me out, but it took a little bit.

My most memorable "breakdown" was POTC. I was on it by myself in my own boat with nobody on any of the boats in front of me or behind me that I could see (this was during EMH at about three in the morning). I was in the room that looks to be wide open with the big ship and the cannons when the boat just stopped. I was probably only stopped for two or three minutes, but so many things ran through my mind during that time. Did they just shut the ride down forgetting there was someone on it? Did the lack of weight from this portion of boats stop the flow? Was I going to have to sleep in this POTC boat a la Cory and Shawn from boy meets world (okay...so that was splash--close enough)? How long do I sit here before I start yelping stuff? I wouldn't say I was freaking out, just internally thinking a whole heck of a lot. Not to mention that room is creepy as heck when you're stranded there by your lonesome!

We got stuck on ToT. Just as the ride was supposed to drop, we waited and waited and waited and nothing. After waiting for awhile I knew something was wrong. In the dark room we heard a voice over head say "power it down and reboot" Not what I wnt to hear when I am waiting to drop :scared1:

Well guess that didn't work because the next thing we know a maintenance many walks in front of the car with a step ladder. One of my co riders yelled out " are you a ghost" the maintenance guy stopped in his tracks and gave us all such a stink eye, placed the step ladder in front of the car and told us to get off and go to the real elevator. It was interesting to see the inside of the ride and YES we got right back on and finished the ride:yay:

If I was ever stuck on Small World I would throw myself over board and swim for land. Or perhaps I would beg those piñata kids to beat me with the piñata stick and put me out of my misery.:rotfl2: just sayin'

As I recall we were stuck for about 30 minutes before the lights came on in PotC and they came to get us out of the boat. We passed the time chatting with the other people in the boat. It was 1998, so nobody had a cell phone to stick their faces in.

I was stuck on Expedition Everest in my last visit. After about 20 ,minutes they finally walked us off the ride.

POTC for an hour. The boat got stuck and they couldn't figure out how to move it so that we could get to a spot where we could walk out, so they called the fire department to rescue us.

Last week was stuck on Wedway People Movers for about 20 mins. We stopped in the tunnel right before you see spacemountin. We knew something was wrong becuase all the lights were on. About 10 mins in a CM came runing by and said...stay in your cars...the ride will start moving shortly.

Once we did start moving we could see there was something wrong with SM and all the lights were on. It was cool to see the ride with the lights on.

While we were stuck we could hear them on the loadspeaker for SM saying...items will be taken to lost and found. So not sure if someone dropped something on the track or what.

For whatever reason, whenever I ride HM at MK, I get stuck in the graveyard scene, on the hill going backwards. Most of the time the music keeps playing, although there was one time where we were stuck for a good 5-7 minutes and the music totally stopped, which is a whole other level of creepy in that room. :sad1:

Also got stuck on RnRC, just before the coaster takes off in the tunnel. We sat there for a good 10 minutes, and when we finally took off, there was no music. As we approached the exit, we were all loudly complaining about the music - can you imagine 9 teenage girls all screaming "THERE WAS NO MUSIC!" The poor CM letting us off looked so frightened he literally opened a door on the side of the room and let us cut the whole line. :rotfl:

DB and I were stuck on Space Mtn at DL once, just as we were about to approach the loading dock. After a few minutes of us not moving, but the rocket ahead of us going through the ride sans-people, they started to clear out the queue, and we could see the lights inside the building turn on behind us. And then every cast member LEFT; they literally all walked out! We were alone, stuck in the rocket, for a good 10 minutes. Long enough for the 5 or 6 pre-teens in front of us to sing "Under the Sea", "Be Our Guest" and something else, screaming at the top of their lungs. :rolleyes2 Finally a CM returned and they let us off using a stepladder.

Same here. We were stuck in the curve right before the drop. We had to listen to that blasted mermaid song for almost an hour before they finally shut it off. Then the RCFD came and helped everyone climb over the seats in the boat until we could make it to dry land. :)

We were stuck in Peter Pan for nearly an hour one time. Don't you know our son wound up having to poop. He yelled really loud "I have to pooooooop, Mom!" My husband and daughter were in one of the boats behind us, so we just texted and played on the phones.

Oh no!

Ok, I'm gonna admit it right here that it is my fear of getting stuck and having to go to the bathroom NOW. I don't know what happens in a case like that, when you have to go, you have to go! An hour is a long time to wait.
