All my photos are out, along with my special papers, scissors, stickers, etc. but I couldn't put a page together if my life depended on it! I hate it when this happens! I get two or three really great pages done and think I'm really on a roll when, all of a sudden, the creative juices cease to flow. Oh well, might as well pack it up for tonight.
Does this ever happen to anybody else?

It happens to me all the time. I usually flip through a couple of scrapbook magazine to try to get ideas. It sometimes helps.

That is when I take a break. I clean up the area put all my stuff away and walk away for awhile. I really did a ton of pages last month, completed an album for my mom and I couldn't even think or look another page till a week or to ago.
So take a break maybe find a LSS and do some shopping! That aways help too!

Yes - the first time I ever sat down to start a scrapbook. That's probably why I have never done one LOL.

I have scrappers block right now so I inventoried my patterned paper hoping that it would inspire me. Well the result wasn't what I hoped for, instead of inspiration I was in shock when I found out how many pieces of patterned paper I really had. Now I feel I need to use up some of my stock before buying more and I have worse "block" than when I started! Worse yet is that all the scrapbook stores and on-line shops are having clearance sales in preparation for all the new products they plan to buy at HIA and I need to go on a spending freeze! Please, oh please let the inspiration fairy visit me soon.

Quite often as a matter of fact :p and it usually gets worse the more I think about a page. Taking a break and doing other things in the meantime is really helpful ... I find that I can get a really great idea when I'm doing something that's completely unrelated!

I have a scraping area that I have all my stuff laid out. When I get a block I just leave it lying there and every once in a while I come and look at it, move things around, get paper out , stickers etc and play with it. When I finally get out of my block I am usually on the run somewhere!!

I have several methods I use to get past scrappers block.

I go back to a layout that I did that I really loved and I CASE it (Copy and steel everything ). With different pictures and different colors it really looks different and most often along the way I change it somehow.

Another way is that I go ahead and pick out my paper. I make tags, journaling boxes and anything else I might think of at the time by just using the paper I have chosen. I may even mount my photos too. I then gather everything up and put it away, including even the tiniest of scraps. While I am away from it, somehow my brain begins to massage it into something. Some of my best layouts have been produced this way.

One other way is I start experimenting with techniques like serendipity squares or paper weaving or maybe even make a shaker box or two. Even if I don't use them right away, they are at least in my arsenal for future layouts.

I hope these help.
