Hi guys, have you seen it on the news about the huge fire at universal Hollywood? All the New York street set is gone, the King Kong attraction, the video vault, the square used for Back to the Future and Ghost Whisperer. I have been watching it live in the internet all afternoon. It looks awful, such a shame. However the park opened at 1pm and they say the studio tram tour will be open again tomorrow! We have the VIP tour booked there for August so it will be interesting to see what it is like then.

ibounce - can i rent or borrow your fish extender??? I signed up for the fish extender give away thing.. over 100 families.. anyway.. i looked at ebay and they want a lot of money for the fish extenders.. and i don't think that manilla folders stapled to the fish will do...

Glad you got that worked out! Mine actually has my name and user name on it, so it would have only confused people!

You should see how sunburned Kevin and I both are (especially Kevin). We totally underestimated what the sun would do to us yesterday. Luckily I got sunscreen on the girls before they fried too

I ended up not swimming yesterday, but the girls did, and they loved it!!!! I did keep very busy though washing and scrubbing all the deck furniture - which is alot (we have 3 decks). It was alot of work, but worth it when it was done, because it all looked so much better

I just couldn't stop looking at the back decks last night after the girls were done swimming. It's so nice to see all the furniture out, and flowers planted - it really does say that summer is finally here!!!!!

Danuak - That fire was terrible It's so good they (U.S.) were able to save all items from their vault so nothing was lost. The whole thing is just terrible!!!!

Wally, saw your post on the WB thread: If you want a chatty group, you need to book a longer cruise! So, when you are on board in November, book the 9/12/09 7 day Easter to Tortula! Oh heck, just book it now, the price will probably go up so much by November, you'd be better off with today's price, over the $200 OBC you'd get in November.

**BETTER YET*** book it now (that would involve a $500 deposit, total, for 2), then when it's right before your Nov cruise, go on line and see what the current price is. If it hasn't gone up more than $200, cancel your reservation and rebook on board.

Gonna have another busy week at work, but after that, things should be back to normal....well, until political advertising hits.

After a terribly crappy winter, it's finally hot enough around here to put the AC on

I had to put it on at the store, because it faces West, and that late afternoon sun made it stifling hot in there. I really didn't want to put it on, but I didn't want any customers getting ticked off because it was 85 in there.

Then when I got home, it was well over 80 degrees in the house. Kevin and I agreed that it was time to put it on, because we wouldn't be able to sleep if we didn't. So, we are giving the AC a try, and it's working great!!!!

Today is mine and Kevin's 13 year wedding anniversary It's so hard to believe that we've been married for 13 years now - time flies by so fast!!!!! We aren't doing anything today, because I have to work until 7pm, but we are celebrating all weekend by going downtown - it'll be great!!!!!

Happy Anniversary Slo!​

Good morning. Sophia was up way too early for my taste cuz unless we're upstairs in one of the play areas I basically have to hold her. (She hates her activity table/excersaucer and barely tolerates the playzone.) Ahh well, at least she's giving me a couple minutes to sit.

It's going to be another scorcher here today. Ian gets his haircut and then has his weekly date with Grandma. And this afternoon I'm dropping both kids off at Adventure Kids, a drop-in childcare. I HAVE to get the guest room cleaned up. It's become a dumping ground for all the outgrown clothes. I have no idea what to do with the mountains right now, but for the time being I'm just focusing on getting them organized and packed up.

Next week my sister is bringing her kids for a short visit. Ian is really looking forward to playing with his cousins again. I'm so glad he has a relationship with them. Too bad the local cousins are so much older, but even if they weren't I doubt we'd have that much contact.

slo, now that you're done cleaning your deck furniture, you wanna come take care of our patio stuff?

I just wanted to pop in and say I miss everyone and me and the FAM are heading out for POrt Orleans and our giant WDW vacation this friday!!!

My "Don't Forget the Lyrics" winnings paid for this trip so we're getting as many "bells and whistles" as possible...needless to say we're stoked!

Ok...I'm not going to make any empty promist to visit more often...everytime I do SOMETHING pops up and makes me look like a liar!

Slo sorry I didn't check in yesterday to wish you happy anniversary. I'm glad you had a nice meal and had a good day.

Well we got our latest inspection report at work today and my department (well the 3 of us that were there!) did really well. Lets just hope we can manage it again in a few weeks time when the main inspectors will be in for hopefully the final time for a while. Pete has the inspectors in his school tomorrow as well!! The teacher I am supposed to work with is still off with stress (5 weeks off now) and I'm not sure when she will be back. So this week I have had to grade her assessment as well as my own. I'm not very amused at that as you can imagine.

Oh well, work to do, better get on. Have a great evening everyone.

I have been busy making phone calls. I helped my DD7's teacher by calling the entire class. It was more work than I expected!

She wanted the class and families to go see Kung Fu Panda. We are going tomorrow and will have what I think is a great turn-out. 16 families.
