Escape to Neverland - A new Tagliarchy adventure!!

Welcome Ariel2007 !

We have not started decorating yet---most likely after this weekend.

This is going to be a long winter!!!!!!
As cute as it may seem, that Sophie finds the snow interesting, it's a pain for me that has to stand out there with her. She never did all her business this morning, and I was out there for 25 min :cold: What's so frustrating, is I know she had to go, but she just couldn't find the right place in the snow :headache:(now she's going to want to go out in an hour) Yep....I love her......but I not going to enjoy the winter standing outside with her:sad2:

Yesterday was somewhat of a success with the pictures.
Sears changes people so fast, that as soon as I find a photographer that I like, and that understands what I want, they are gone:headache: I warned the girl that helped us on the phone Saturday that I'm very picky, and I do take forever. We did take an hour, and I was disappointed with how uncreative she was. Anything creative came from Kevin and I. If it weren't for the price, and the fact that I can get a CD with photos on it, I would go somewhere else. But with us getting pictures taken so often, price is definitly a factor in where we go ::yes::

ibounce - I would love to have warm weather right now. I hate winter!!! :cold:

Danuak - That's a great idea about the ivy!!!! I need to cut branches off my pine tree and take them to church. The church decorators are asking all families to do this, so they can decorate the church with them for the holidays. :santa:

ariel - Stephanie is caught inbetween wanting to grow up, and not wanting to grow up, and I think that's because she has a 5yr old sister. Once Katie gets older, I think that will change. My girls are very close, and therefore they mimic each other. Sometimes it's cute, and sometimes it's not.

SeeWhat - Where are you going or where are you coming from? I didn't remember you where you traveling.

Belle - How is your FIL doing?

Well, I better go workout - I haven't in over a week, and I embarrassed with how much I've eating lately.

Have a good day!!!!!

Thank you NC Belle :goodvibes

We haven't started decorated yet either. My Mum would have a fit if she knew we had decorated before the start of December.

Jessie does not like wet weather...she tries to find a dry spot.

Belle - How is your FIL doing?

We are going to visit him/MIL tomorrow. He has like 4 hours of tests tomorrow so we are leaving mid-day to let him rest. The oldest son and his dp visited over the holiday and left Monday. FIL has good days and bad days. He gets frustrated by not being as active as before his diagnosis. MIL's Sister's stepson passed last week so we are most likely attend a celebration of life this weekend---he was in his late 30s with 2 young children/wife. I think that I met him years ago at a family event...he used to play with NC Beast when they were young.

WOW you all have been chatty! I love it!

Welcome Ariel 2007. So glad you stopped by. We hope you stay awhile. We'd love for you to hang around anf get to know us better! Great bunch of people on this thread!

Glad you all had a great weekend. I did the midnight shopping thisg with Sam and picked up some good stuff. We shopped until 7:30 am. I was pooped. But did make some headway on shopping.

Remember I told you about the 8 people who RSVP'd the day before Thanksgiving? Well only three of the 8 showed up. No kidding. Don't ask. But I had one full table that I set beautifully go to waste. And we had tons of food left over. It is hard working with young kids. Plans change and most of them do not understand that they should at least call when they will be a no show. I waited dinner for 45 mintues hoping they would show. It was rude to my guests that were there but we had no clue they wouldn't show up. OK I was a bit bitter but better now.:rolleyes1

We are off to Tom's AFROTC dining out next Saturday. That is also the big SEC football game between the Gators and Alabama. Love football!!!

off to get my house back together after a busy weekend. Had the birthday party on Wednesday, then Thanksgiving then had a bunch over for the football game on Saturday against FSU. ugh. I am tired.

Slo - I was in Michigan. The day I left it was snowing like crazy! My flights were delayed all the way home and then it was too foggy to land so we had to divert to LA instead of San Diego and they bussed us home. It was really weird! I'm just glad to be back :)

Cheeringmom ~ Thank you so much for the welcome. I plan to stick around as long as you guys will have me :goodvibes

Sounds like you have been very busy, but sounds like a lot of fun.
I cannot believe you went midnight shopping, that is crazy. We don't have anything like that over here so cannot imagine being at the shops whilst it is still dark out.

I'm guessing your a football supporter from your signature which is perfect :thumbsup2. I don't really know much about American football but know it is pretty big. When we were in Atlanta in August/September we managed to be part of the big crowds for some college games, I know it was a team from Georgia and Alabama (dogs/tigers :confused3). Anyhoo, we really want to watch a college game when we come over to Tennessee and Atlanta next year (August/September) but don't really know how we go about finding out whats on and how to get tickets. Could you point me in the right direction please :goodvibes

not CMOM - :) but.. depending on the towns you are going to, you can check the universitys there..for example the university of tennessess can be found at http://www.utsports.com/sports/m-footbl/tenn-m-footbl-body.html and University of GA can be found at http://www.georgiadogs.com/ etc.. so when you know the dates and the towns we can help you find a great game to attend..

Morning.. work is work.. but Eric is performing in the drum line for the Variety show this week so he has practices all week from after school til 8 pm.. Then the show starts on Thursday and goes until Sat nite. He is getting us tickets for either Fri or Sat nite.. Geoff is leaving on Friday for a boy scout thing where they pack, unload and hand out Xmas trees and food.

NCB - how is FIL doing?

SLO - sure is cold and more snow is forecasted along with a drop in temp.. BRRRRRRR...

Seewhat.. how are you doing?? Glad you got out of MI before the snow and cold..

That is what I would do. I know student tickets at UF are won by lottery. It is difficult to get tickets. Ticketmaster sometimes sells them also. http://www.ticketmaster.com/

ARIEL, are you going to Atlanta for work or pleasure??

Geffric, I love drumlines. At UF after every game, the fans follow the band down to Turlington Plaza and play a few songs then the drumline takes over for about a 20 minute concert. I love it. So much fun!

I think I am coming down with a cold. Better now than last week.

Off to start the day. Am getting my hair low lighted today. I hope it looks natural but also look like I did something to it. I am relally not that picky!!! heheh NOT!

geffric ~ thanks for the information :goodvibes. At the moment we will be going at the end of August, probably around the 23rd. We plan to spend a couple of nights in Atlanta before moving on to Pigeon Forge and then over to Nashville, maybe down to Huntsville and then back to Atlanta for 1 last night. When we know for sure where we will be when I will tell you the dates, but for now I will have a look at those sites. Thanks for the help, its much appreciated :thumbsup2

Cheeringmom ~ We will be there for pleasure, I cant wait :cheer2:. And what is UF :confused3

hehe Sorry! UF is University fo Florida. Every college goes but thier initials. I have two kids that go to UF so we are avid fans-we have to be. All of our money goes there!!lol.

Sounds like you have a great trip planned. There is some type of castle-not new to you coming from Europe-but it supposed to be gorgeous in the Tennessee area. You can stay there for the night or weekend-whatever. I will see if I can find the info. Anyone know what I am talking about?

We lived in Germany for 5 years and loved it there. We visitid England many times. I love England. If I had a ton of money I would move there, open a cute little English bed and breakfast and name it the Hedgehog Inn. Goofy-I know. But I love it there....

QUOTE]it is in North Carolina. Biltmore Castle...
never been but looks beautiful
http://dupontcastle.com/castles/biltmor.htm

Cheeringmom ~ Thanks for the castle info. I haven't looked at the website yet but I think it is the Biltmore place, we were told about it last time we were there by a waitress but it was our last day and we didn't have time. My Mum definitely wants to visit there this time so I will check out that site now :thumbsup2

Ok I get the college thing, it makes sense. Where are the main University's in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee? I love the whole idea of college football, it seems like its so big over there. I mean the amount of people that were around Atlanta supporting the game when we were there seemed like a lot more than we have in professional games over here. I would love to have the chance to be part of it on our next trip but will definitely need help finding a good game, tickets and seats.

Thats so cool you lived in Germany. And so funny you would love to move here and open a B&B. I want to do exactly the same but move over to the US... maybe we should just swap :confused3

Seewhat.. how are you doing?? Glad you got out of MI before the snow and cold..

I'm doing well thanks :) It was nice to see the snow but I actually have to agree that I wouldn't want to be around it all year. I was actually happy to see the sun  I'm just trying to finish out the last three weeks of school but i'm starting to get really lazy :rotfl:

What are you up to?

I'm wishing the last 3 weeks of school away as well. The lead up to Christmas with a class full of 8 year olds can be a challenge at times!!

We havn't really had snow yet, the north of England where my parents live have a had a bit. We might get some overnight, but probably not. However it is really cold here right now!!

Danuk ~ We have had a very little bit of snow here, but it must have been in the night as there was just a thin layer in the morning. And it soon went away again. I'm hoping we get a bit over christmas, thats always so magical.

I notice you went to DLP in October and November... we were there over Halloween too and loved it. When were you there exactly?

It's the middle of the week!!!!:cheer2:

I didn't post here yesterday:eek:
I just realized that!!!!

Last night there was a mother/daughter basketball game at Stephanie's school - it was pretty fun!!!! The game lasted 1 1/2 hours, and 5 girls w/ their moms, played at one time for 6:30min. The score was on going, so it got pretty excited at the end. The girls ended up winning 37-36, and a big part of that is because of Stephanie. When we were playing, a mom had the ball, and Stephanie fell down (I don't know why:confused: It wasn't a hard fall, she just fell (maybe she tripped over her own feet) ). Anyway, the mom started asking her if she was okay, and another girl stole the moms ball, and then had a clear path to the hoop and made it. When all this happened, I was right under the mom's basket, and would of made it, if the other mom would have thrown me the ball. The whole thing was quite funny, and almost looked planned, but it obviously wasn't. So, I told Steph, that her little fall may have won them the game:laughing:

Ariel - If your mom would have a fit about you decorating before December 1st, she would really have a fit if she knew I put up Christmas tree #1 before Thanksgiving:laughing: In all honesty, I put up the trees early, because I'm just to pressed for time the rest of December. When are you planning on decorating? Do you live close to your parents? My parents and Kevin's parents live in the same town as us.

Belle - How was your visit with your FIL?

cheeringmom - I"m so sorry to hear about the "no shows" on Thanksgiving :guilty: I would be so PO'd!!!!! Were you able to eat all those leftovers, or did you have to throw alot of it away?

SeeWhat - Do you have family in Michigan? I bet it was alot colder for you there, than it is in California.

geffric - Did you get a lot of snow with that last snowfall? We got about 1 1/2 inches, so not to much. I'm really hoping that we don't get to much snow with this next winter storm coming - I really hate it, and Sophie doesn't enjoy it to much either:sad2:
**Good luck to Eric with his show this week:wizard:

Danauk - How is school going this year? Is this year less stressful for you? I felt so bad for you last year, with everything that was going on. I remember you being happy with your class when the year first started, and I"m hoping things are still going well.

Well, I better go and get some hairdye in my hair. We have Kevin's work Christmas party this weekend, and I figured I shouldn't go with my grey roots:laughing: I don't people thinking that Kevin is married to someone much older than him:rotfl2:

Have a good day today!!!!

Slacker!! hehehe

Just a quick drive by. Lots of stuff to do. Need to clean the house so my hubby won't complain about bringing down the Christmas tree. Want to get it up before this weekend.

And Ariel, the stores have been celebrating Christmas before Halloween. ugh

SeeWhat - Do you have family in Michigan? I bet it was alot colder for you there, than it is in California

Yeah my grandparents live there. I like snow but i've decided that I just couldn't live somewhere that cold all year round (i'm a wimp) :rotfl: Seattle is still my favorite place - just the right mixture of weather :cloud9:

Have fun at your Christmas party this weekend! And hey, a little grey is a sign of wisdom, be proud! :rotfl:
